Pick Up a Killer as Girlfriend

Chapter 104: Master

This time, it seems Xiaofan miscalculated. But it's understandable. In his subconscious, all police officers should stand for justice, and such a clear-cut case should be handled fairly.

However, he forgot that there could be moles in the Criminal Investigation Bureau and that at the police station, some would help gangsters frame other gangs. Ouyang Xiong was a prime example of this.

Realizing this later, Xiaofan couldn't help but let out a bitter laugh,

"Money, you truly are a bloodless knife."

"Kid, you can still laugh at a time like this? Be honest..." Seeing Xiaofan's smile, the officer who came over to cuff him paused. What allowed this mere eighteen-year-old high schooler to remain so calm in such a situation?

Still puzzled, the officer grabbed Xiaofan's wrist, cuffing it to the chair, while he prepared to cuff Xiaofan's other hand.

With a swift motion, there was a click. The officer stared bewilderedly at his wrist, wondering what had just happened.

In an instant, the handcuff was on his own wrist, while the high school student continued to smile at him.

"You little punk, watch how I deal with you." The officer knew that this kid had just freed himself and cuffed the officer instead.

Quickly, he took out a key to unlock the handcuff to deal with Xiaofan again.

But Xiaofan wasn't going to let him succeed so easily. With a swift motion, he knocked the key out of the officer's hand. Before the officer could react, Xiaofan kicked him to the ground. With the chair attached to the handcuff, the officer fell in a heap.

"Damn it, you dare cause trouble here at the station! Get in here and help!" The officer interrogating at the opposite table jumped up to attack Xiaofan.

Xiaofan grabbed a desk lamp and tossed it over, leaping onto the table and executing a beautiful spinning kick.

The officer, standing up, didn't even have time to react before being kicked against the wall.

Just then, the door burst open, and three officers rushed in with batons.

Xiaofan gave them a cold glance and then charged at them.

Screams of pain suddenly filled the interrogation room. The officers were shocked to find this seemingly gentle young man was so formidable.

The second group of officers who came didn't bring batons this time but drew their guns at the door, aiming at Xiaofan.

"Stop, or you're dead."

But Xiaofan was already prepared when he heard footsteps. He hooked one officer's neck with his arm, grabbed a gun from his waist, then pushed the officer away, chambered a round, and disabled the safety. He pulled the trigger.

'Bang.'

The gunshot startled everyone at the station.

There wasn't a hint of hesitation when Xiaofan fired. He knew he had to be firm, or he would surely suffer.

The officer who previously aimed his gun stood in shock, looking at his right hand, feeling intense pain at his thumb base, and his entire arm trembled with numbness. The gun was hit by the bullet and flew to the side.

The officers behind looked at Ye Xiaofan in terror, realizing they were dealing with a tricky opponent.

Xiaofan's seamless move from grabbing the gun to pulling the trigger and accurately hitting the threatening gun showed he was not new to using firearms.

"Kid, you're finished. Do you know what you're doing right now?" The officer in front, being held at gunpoint by Xiaofan, couldn't help but tremble as he warned him.

"Let me ask you, do you know what you're doing? Is it a police officer's duty to distort facts and turn black into white?" Xiaofan coldly questioned the officer.

This question left them speechless.

However, they weren't the ones in charge; it was the director's orders. Of course, they'd receive a considerable 'bonus' afterwards.

"If I'm not mistaken, the director of this station is Chen Chang'an, right? Call him over," Xiaofan said again.

Nobody moved at Xiaofan's condition, exchanging glances, unsure what to do.

'Bang bang bang.'

Three gunshots rang out again, causing the officers to cover their heads in fright.

"Go! If you can't make a decision, have someone who can come and talk to me," Xiaofan shouted fiercely.

Honestly, Xiaofan had no backing. Even though Ouyang Xiong might call him brother, he wouldn't meddle in such chaos at the police station. But Xiaofan wasn't afraid at all because he had the truth on his side. He didn't believe these corrupt men could cover the sky with one hand.

The dizziness in his head made Xiaofan feel like he couldn't hold on, but he still took out his phone and called Lin Miaoke. Xiaofan was just preparing for more contingencies.

Hearing Xiaofan had fired a gun at the police station, Chen Chang'an rushed over without delay.

In front of the interrogation room, several officers were lying painfully on the ground, and the kid was casually drinking tea with a gun.

"You wanted to see me?" Chen Chang'an, a sly old fox himself, despite being only thirty-eight, was no simple character.

"Are you going to take care of He Jun's problem today?" Xiaofan calmly asked.

"Of course, we'll handle his issue, but your matters are much more severe." Chen Chang'an wasn't in a hurry, trying to intimidate Xiaofan with his posture.

"So, what does Director Chen plan to do with a freshly graduated high school student like me?" Xiaofan asked steadily.

"Assaulting the police, seizing an officer's gun, and firing without permission, these aren't things a newly graduated high schooler should dare to do. Any of these offenses could land you in serious trouble," Chen Chang'an listed the charges before continuing, "I advise you to put down the gun; maybe we'll handle your matter leniently. Otherwise..."

"Otherwise, I'll end up in jail, so what? I'm young enough to handle ten or eight years, but if Director Chen goes in, it won't be about just ten or eight years, and your future would be gone," Xiaofan said while calming his breath, as the dizziness persisted. What a troublesome aftermath.

"What do you mean?" Chen Chang'an asked coldly.

"I'm not sure if Director Chen knows Zhang Yongchang? Didn't a lot of people get implicated when he was taken down? I hope Director Chen hasn't forgotten?" Xiaofan smiled slightly, knowing he hadn't summoned a cunning old fox for negotiations without having leverage against him.

Zhang Yongchang? Hearing this name, Chen Chang'an suddenly widened his eyes, beginning to realize that the young man before him wasn't as simple as he seemed. No wonder he was comfortably sitting there waiting for him. This wasn't some recent high school graduate; he was more like a seasoned veteran.
