"Sorry, the server you are trying to connect to doesn't recognize this name. You don't have permission for the direct line."
Lei Xiaolei hung up the phone, somewhat bewildered.
"What's going on?" Xiaofan asked quizzically from the taxi.
Originally, Lei Xiaolei's speed couldn't catch up with Xiaofan, but Xiaofan couldn't possibly run to his uncle's place on foot. So, while waiting for the taxi, Lei Xiaolei caught up and requested to join him.
Having more help, Xiaofan naturally wouldn't refuse. But just as Lei Xiaolei was about to use his account to log into the Yanhuang Soul's internal line, he was stunned to discover that his account could no longer connect to the organization's line.
It meant Lei Xiaolei's account had been deleted. In other words, he was expelled from Yanhuang Soul.
This was a result he had known for a long time, but touching upon it again brought an inexplicable sadness. He didn't regret it, though; he had succeeded in taking his revenge, albeit not in a commendable way. But he knew that if he waited longer, he wouldn't have another chance.
Yes, in ten, twenty years, his combat skills might surpass David's. But ten, twenty years later, where would he find David? Plus, his identity was restricted, making it impossible for him to go abroad and seek revenge.
"Sorry, I can't notify the organization anymore. I've been... expelled." Lei Xiaolei said slowly.
"Hmm? Do you have your captain's private number? Ask him to help notify them." Xiaofan suggested.
"I have their email..." Saying this, Lei Xiaolei took out his phone again and quickly typed on the screen.
The email was sent, but whether the captain received it was unknown.
Of course, Xiaofan felt no pressure facing these foreign foes. What worried him was not knowing when the hidden Red Butterfly might strike.
If it were Red Butterfly's people, Xiaofan had no confidence of victory. He clearly remembered the strength of the Life-taking Five Ghosts. Even Ren Zhongtian was stopped by those five. If he faced one of the Five Ghosts now, what were his chances?
Although the Five Ghosts were dead, Red Butterfly was large; who knew how many experts they still had?
Actually, Xiaofan's worry was somewhat excessive. No matter how big Red Butterfly was, they wouldn't easily deploy some super-skilled experts unless faced with a major task like assassinating an official, where they wouldn't need their top assassins.
11:10 PM.
Xiaofan and Lei Xiaolei successfully arrived at Uncle Ye Dahe's home before midnight.
"Stop, who are you?" Outside the gate, several guards sternly looked at Xiaofan and Lei Xiaolei.
"Hello, my name is Ye Xiaofan. I am Ye Dahe's nephew. I have an urgent matter to see him." Xiaofan immediately declared his identity.
The address was asked by Xiaofan before arriving in Capital City, so he quickly and accurately found it. However, Uncle's side seemed unwelcoming, so Xiaofan had to initially stay at Uncle Ye Daqiao's place upon arriving.
After hearing Xiaofan's name, the two guards exchanged glances, then said softly, "Are you the Ye Xiaofan from TV?"
"Uh, yes, I really have something important to discuss with my uncle." Xiaofan said anxiously.
"Well, Mr. Ye is still busy now, he instructed not to be disturbed casually." The guard said with difficulty.
"Let me in." Xiaofan insisted.
"But..." The guard looked troubled, evidently, their duty was not to let strangers in casually.
"If you've seen us on TV, you'd know that if we wanted to break in, you wouldn't be able to stop us." Xiaofan stated firmly.
"I'll call Mr. Ye first." The guard knew Xiaofan was right but was trained strictly, requiring them to verify Xiaofan's identity first.
"Hello, Mr. Ye, sorry, but outside there's Mr. Ye Xiaofan claiming an urgent matter to see you." The guard spoke.
"Xiaofan?"
"Uncle, it's me, Xiaofan."
"Why are you here?"
"Don't say much, let me in first." Xiaofan said urgently.
With Ye Dahe's consent, Xiaofan and Lei Xiaolei successfully entered the small garden villa and met his uncle.
It was already 11:25 PM, leaving half an hour before those foreigners' planned action.
Ye Dahe's work was too busy, sometimes with less than five hours of sleep per day, like now, nearly midnight, still staring at files on the computer.
"Xiaofan, what are you doing here at this hour instead of being in school?"
"I..." Hadn't seen Uncle in years; he was always stern, a serious figure from childhood impressions.
But Xiaofan hadn't expected his uncle didn't know he had participated in a competition and won first prize. Clearly, he was so busy he had no time for entertainment.
"Hello, Mr. Ye. Do you remember me?" Lei Xiaolei stepped forward, saluting formally.
"You are?" Evidently, Ye Dahe didn't remember who Lei Xiaolei was.
"Three years ago, in Hengbian District, I was your bodyguard. It was my first task, so I remember distinctly." Lei Xiaolei respected Ye Dahe immensely, having worked with him for half a year, knowing full well how diligent he was.
"Hmm? How did you two end up together?" Ye Dahe recalled the past, then looked at them questioningly.
"Aunt and brother?" Xiaofan didn't answer directly but asked quietly.
"They aren't in the Capital City." Ye Dahe answered truthfully.
It turned out Ye Dahe lived alone in Capital City because of numerous enemies; leaving family nearby posed great danger, explaining why he declined Xiaofan's stay initially. Not unwilling to care for Xiaofan but worried it would be more dangerous.
"Why have you really come to see me? Xiaofan, what is it?" Ye Dahe, being mature and thoughtful, didn't know Xiaofan well but sensed the seriousness from their demeanor, knowing Lei Xiaolei's identity, indicating something was amiss.
"Someone plans to kill you tonight at midnight. There's less than half an hour left." Xiaofan glanced at the time on the wall, speaking slowly.
