Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 1120: 1117: Absorbing The Tribulation

The gods and those who were not ignorant about the Tribulation and its power were stunned when they saw that the Tribulation Clouds and the sea of golden lightning was being absorbed by Primus.

They were not unfamiliar with individuals absorbing Tribulations and using it to strengthen themselves.

There were several techniques that one could learn to do that, and there several individuals who had the physique to even absorb Tribulations.

Such individuals became powerhouses that shook the universe in their prime, and many of them were feared by those in the same realm.

Surviving a Tribulation was one thing, but using a Tribulation to get stronger was another thing entirely.

Tribulations were literally attacks from the universe itself, and the energy a Tribulation of any grade contained was not supposed to be absorbed by an individual in the same realm as the Tribulation.

For instance, an Immortal could deal with the Tribulation Corey had to face when he improved majority of his skills to the Transcendent level.

An Immortal could also absorb the Tribulation if they have an affinity for lightning or if they have a technique that could refine a Tribulation for themselves.

Very few Mystic Beings in the universe could deal with the Tribulation Corey faced.

With Corey's Tribulation as an example, one could better understand why it was an abnormal feat for the gods to see Primus devouring his Tribulation.

The first two Tribulations were Tribulations that were comparable to the attacks of a Greater God, a Tier 11 to be precise.

But the Tribulation that was about to strike Corey and Primus was a Tribulation was a Tribulation of Legends amongst gods.

A golden lightning tribulation was said to be a Tribulation that could kill True Gods, beings who we were at the true peak of the universe.

Golden Lightning Tribulations were said to be Tribulations that True Gods feared because it meant the universe was doing all it can to smite the individual.

This means that by all means, only beings who were beyond the True Gods realm would be able to survive, absorb, and block a Golden Lightning Tribulation.

However, Primus was devouring the Tribulation and it was succeeding!

----

RUMBLE!

CLAP!

Corey and the others who were watching Primus had bated breaths as they saw the Tribulation fight back at Primus.

RUMBLE!

CLAP!

Golden lightning fell on Primus and struck it on all sides.

Glass shards would fall from Primus, but once they were a meter away from Primus, they would float back to Primus and he would be made whole.

Runes flared up on Primus' body, and although his body was filled with golden lightning, they were being absorbed into his body.

With every passing second, Primus' aura got stronger and stronger and the Tribulations got more furious.

Thousands of golden lightning bolts struck Primus at the same time, and in the eyes of mortals and even average Mystic Beings, they saw millions of glass shards floating around the unfathomably large glass rod.

Many of them expected the glass rod to shatter and fall into pieces because in their eyes, the Tribulation was already breaking parts of it.

And how could it not?

It was glass after all.

Meanwhile, the greed in the eyes of the gods only got brighter and brighter.

Unlike the mortals and Mystic Beings, they could see how Primus was absorbing its fragments back into himself at an extremely fast speed.

With every second that passed, over a million shards were absorbed back into itself. And in that same second, another million shards were destroyed by the Golden Lightning Tribulation.

There was no way a mortal or Mystic Being could see this unless they had unique eyes or were unique themselves.

And what shook the souls and hearts of the gods was the absurd rate of refinement of Primus.

Even if one had the technique or physique that allowed one to be able to absorb a Tribulation, one's rate of refinement would be dependent on their talents, and they would not be able to refine the Tribulation Lightning until they found a calm and peaceful place to refine it.

It was a normal thing and also what everybody knew.

But Primus... Primus was absorbing and refining the Tribulation while protecting himself at the same time.

And with every passing second, he was getting stronger and the Tribulation was finding it difficult to destroy Primus.

RUMBLE!!!!

CLAP!!!

The skies quaked and the earth shook as the Tribulation became so furious to the point that everybody could feel its killing intent.

If not for the fact that the killing intent was directed at Primus, everybody on New Earth might have bled to death because of it.

As Corey watched how Primus was overcoming the Tribulation, his heart was filled with relief, joy, and pride, and he could not help but wonder if this was how a parent felt when they saw their child performing well.

Corey cheered Primus on, and Primus heard it and became happy like a child.

He released a joyful hum and devoured the Tribulation with greater vigor.

A smile appeared on Corey's face when he saw this, but a second later, his smile froze.

And so did the expressions of the gods.

The Tribulation stopped attacking Primus with thousands of bolts. The thousands of golden lightning bolts flew back into the Tribulation Cloud which was now only covering the Black Sea and a few kilometers beyond it.

Compared to when the entire New Earth was covered by Tribulation Clouds, the Tribulation could be said to have drastically reduced.

Primus had devoured a huge portion of the Tribulation, but the Tribulation was not getting weaker but stronger!

"Primus!"

Corey suddenly shouted, and Primus who was drunk on so much energy and power was startled by Corey's shout.

When he focused on its surroundings, he saw a golden sword that was comparable to its size. He wanted to react, but it was too late.

The sword which was made out of the golden tribulation lightning pierced through Primus.

Primus released a scream of pain.
