[Challenger Aether, you have reached the point of Enlightenment]

[You have been given the Authority to challenge the Seeker Trial of Salvation...]

...

'I overdid it.' He stared at the screens, overwhelmed. He didn't even know what to look at.

The original ending, he could finally figure it out, now with the information given to him by the Codex.

...

In the original ending, Jay, an ex-priest, had gotten out of the illusion, and had seen the terryfying world he has been living in, he had tried to take his life, but for some reason he decided not to in the end, and went to destroy the Heartforge, he had somehow gotten throught the Sanctum, beaten the lion in the maze. After reaching the Heartforge, in the original storyline, he decided to destroy the statues without saying it.

He had also stolen the crown; if he hadn't, the Codex wouldn't have only told him that he had created a relic that shouldn't exist, the Crown of Shadows, but for finding the original crown, the Crown of Salvation.

In the end, he had to fight with the angel, and somehow, he was able to destroy the heartforge, and... kill him. How, he had no idea. Jay was a seeker, and he didn't have someone to tell him what to do when he needed it, like he had the Abyss, which only helped him when he was about to die, trying to save himself.

But after destroying the Heartforge, he had woken up the Demon Shadow, and without the crown corrupted by the Abyss, it didn't have the ability to put the shadow under his control. And in the end, Chernobog took over the world, but there was also something.

Jay didn't die in the original ending, but rather, he was probably corrupted, hence the seed of darkness he had destroyed when killing him. There was a chance that in the original ending, Chernobog wasn't the one to destroy the world but Jay.

That was the original ending, and for once, he had actually created a happy ending... There was a world where he was actually a hero, even if no one knew it was him.

He was a Hero...

Yet... it was ironic, he had been able to do it, not because of his pride, bravery, purity, and honesty, or any other basic hero qualities. He had become a hero because of his sins.

...

Still, he had done it. He had become a hero and had created a happy ending.

While he was on the topic. He hadn't expected to be awarded the Canonized rank; after all, it was rare, and to get it two times in a row seemed too much, really. But if he thought about it, he really did exactly the opposite of what happened in the original ending. He could have joined the angel and kept the world in the illusion, or he could have killed Jay and had the shadow plant the seed in him.

But no, he had done nothing at that. So, the rank... was fitting.

...

Enough of this book, he had cleared it, it's a part of the past, he needed to focus on his present, his future...

When he first awakened, he had never thought that he would ever see this. He didn't think he would ever feel this... the power of Enlightenment.

It was when he was the strongest, with the only thing to make him strong being his Knowledge rank.

But, when it came to his affinity, it was the strongest it could be. Not many were able to see this, well, not many from the Withered, as he saw that most in the Blue Rose saw beyond this.

... He wondered if he would also one day see it, the day when he became a Seeker, or maybe even the day when he became a Bearer.

...

Heck, he wondered if he would see the day he would become a Breaker.

But that is more like a fairy tale; it was almost impossible to get the Authority to challenge the trial.

Authority is the requirement for each Trial of Salvation. Until Breaker, you get it through Enlightenment, but after that, you already know the story.

You have to find your Truth to get the Authority to challenge the Breaker Trial of Salvation.

...

But he still had long, he had to first complete his Seeker Trial

...Speaking of it, while he wasn't going to challenge his trial right now, since he wanted to do it with his personal squad... even if they hadn't done anything to help him now. He had already told his reason for why, and that being so, the difficulty could be lowered. Since it was measured through sins.

He could still check what the Knowledge rank of the book would be. It was the question of whether he wanted to do so.

...

He took a deep breath.

"I wish to redeem my sins."

...

In the blink of a second, everything around him was covered in darkness, leaving him and a single pedestal, holding a book. A lonely book, only for him to see.

He walked over to it, his hand hovering over it, shaking slightly. He was scared; he had an idea of what he was going to see, but he just didn't want to see it become a reality.

As his finger touched the cover, the book started to float in the air. As it opened itself to him.

...

[Mesuring the Sins of the Reader, to create the perfect book]

...

[Measurement has been completed, you hold a wicked heart]

[Reader Aether, do you wish to...]

'I don't wish to know the name or description, just tell me the rank.'

...

[Class-Seeker]

[Knowledge rank- Titan]

...

He took a deep breath. He had expected this; after everything he had done as a Reader, he was found to have the highest difficulty. Well, Godspawn and God are higher difficulties, but books with those ranks do exist.

...

'Except Frozen Crown.'

If before he had thought that it was a good idea to take the others with him, then now he knew he needed to, after all, he was hardly alive from the Reader Titan he had challenged, but from one of the Seeker Class.

It was out of his league.

'No, I don't wish to challenge this book.' As the Codex heard his words, the book fell back on the pedestal, and everything around him turned back to normal, as if nothing had happened...

While becoming a Seeker seemed so close, he knew he was still so far away; he could enter whenever he wanted, but he knew that he could only enter, not leave. That day was still far away.

It hurt his heart knowing he couldn't do it alone, yet a part of him was happy it was that way; he really wanted to know he could really rely on the other around him. To take a break.

He didn't enjoy being the strongest, the leader; it brought a lot of responsibility on his shoulders, and even more, it made it so he couldn't rest. And he really needed a break once and a while, even now, he really wanted to just let his people handle themselves while he took a long nap.

But he couldn't; he needed to keep the rebellion going. After all, it was hard to keep a nation like the Withered together without anything happening. And at the same time, he needed to get all the members of his personal squad to reach Enlightenment.

While he had maxed out his sync, he still had so much to do. And he knew... that he didn't have that much time.

...

...

The King sat on his throne; his overwhelming presence stopped anyone who wasn't invited from coming in. One single gaze could make anyone falter. And yet, in front of him stood a boy who wasn't scared of him, who could look in his eyes without any fear.

Even with such a powerful being in front of him, a being that could kill him every second, he could still smile.

"For what do I get the honor to be called here, your majesty?"

The boy raised his head, his smile continuing to burn bright.

The king smiled back.

"Well, you see, I've gotten information that the Withered is doing another of their rebellions. And while it doesn't seem so important to call you here, there is a chance that it's led by the Abyss..."

...

"If this rebellion continues, unlike the other failed attempts, I wish for you to go confirm if the Abyss is the one leading it, and kill every single member."

...

"Can you do that for me, Vessel of Freedom?"
