"Our scientists are still speculating about the origin and the cause of the negatron matter still emerging from the depths of the planet, Your Majesty." The Director of Intelligence. "There are several competing preliminary ideas for now, as detailed in the report I handed to you."

"Give me a brief rundown on all of them," the Emperor of Harmony remarked.

"Very well, Your Majesty. One of the most popular theories is the Nativist Theory that the scientists have come up with," the Director of Intelligence explained with a serious tone. "This theory, according to them, argues that the negatron matter was created in the depths of the planet by a naturalistic process."

The Emperor of Harmony frowned. "The negatron matter was created from scratch inside the planet naturally? Is that even possible?"

"The geophysicists and the particle physicists have insisted that it is possible that the same process by which the civilizations of the true world have managed to create a small amount of negatron particles could be what is responsible for negatron matter in the lava that we see emerging from within the depths of the planets."

The Emperor of Harmony was vaguely aware that the people of the true world took small subatomic particles and then accelerated them at extremely high speeds and smashed them into each other to create new particles, a process that he found baffling.

"Are there particles being accelerated through the highly dense solid matter of the mantle and the core of the planet?" The Emperor of Harmony frowned with confusion.

"They say that the acceleration is not necessary if one is able to generate the right pressure and temperature," the Director added. "And they think that certain pockets might have met that condition and spontaneously have created negatron matter that has now escaped because of the cracks and fissures created by the battle between the Dragon Emperor and His Highness."

"That's… that's hard to believe."

"Another theory that they have come up with is the xeno-origin theory, which states that the negatron particles came here elsewhere a long, long time ago when the planet was first created from the remnants of a dying star," the Director explained. "There are some that also believe that the origin of the negatron matter is the same as the origin of the negatron matter in our continent, perhaps even all esoteric matter in our continent."

The Emperor of Harmony heaved a deep breath as he fell into thought with a serious expression. The mystery of why the Panama Continent had esoteric matter while none of the other continents had any esoteric matter was one that had plagued him ever since the Unfolding.

In fact, the gaping abyss of a mystery as to why the Panama Continent was even a giant manifold that kept it hidden for one hundred and eighty thousand years was also a colossal mystery that they had made very little progress in understanding.

It was a mystery that baffled not just the Panamic people, but also the people of the true world, and this revelation only added to the list of giant existential mysteries that the Emperor of Harmony simply didn't understand.

He hadn't had the time to bother pondering them and certainly no means to find the truth yet, thus he had put them out of his mind and focused on ensuring the survival and prosperity of human civilization.

However, when confronted with yet another shocking revelation and mystery, he couldn't help but wonder what was happening. The sheer number of mysteries and absurdities and oddities in this world was high. It became increasingly difficult to understand what was the underlying truth, even if he did get the sense that many of these things were connected to each other.

"It's a shame that the Divine Doctor isn't here," the Emperor of Harmony remarked with a knowing tone.

The director of intelligence frowned.

What did the Divine Doctor have to do with this? He was a brilliant genius of a medicine man and biotechnologist, but this was categorically separate from his field of specialty, was it not?

"Inform the other Immortal Sages of these discoveries," the Emperor of Harmony remarked. "With their knowledge and intelligence, they might be able to shed greater light on this matter. However, the most important part of this discovery isn't the underlying truth of the matter but rather…"

His tone grew more severe. "…the consequences it will have on us and the true world."

The World Bridge relied on negatron matter for its wormholes, and Rui's teleportation had been massively enhanced by even a small amount of negatron matter. The exotic form of matter contained negative energy and mass that allowed it to push a wormhole open, allowing it to stretch deeper or wider.

This was a strategic advantage that only the Panama Continent held, and it was now shattered. Before, the Panama Continent was primed to be the winner of the race to interstellar space due to the fact that they were the only one with negatron matter. It was only a matter of time before their wormhole technology caught up to that of the true world, with Julian aggressively integrating the technology of the true world into theirs.

However, with this seemingly impossible miracle, it was no longer an advantage that only the Panama Continent had.

"The ocean floors are laden with a priceless resource," the Emperor of Harmony declared. "We must be the ones to get our hands on it before our enemies, lest they use its power to destroy us."

The declaration bore heavily on the atmosphere.

It was a declaration of war.

It pained the Emperor of Harmony to declare war when he sought to achieve a collective effort to deal with the catastrophe, and yet he had no choice. He knew for an absolute fact that each and every other civilization would do everything in their power to get their hands on the shocking amounts of negatron matter that had emerged from the depths of the planet.

He could not allow his civilization to fall behind.

The race and the war had already begun.
