The Martial Unity

Chapter 3587: A Good Day Of Work

The sea monster army swept over the Great Void Ocean, inflicting great damage and losses to all those who resisted. The seafolks resisted it the best, but even they were forced to retreat under the overwhelming power of the invading monsters.

The countless private and commercial presences within the depths of the ocean never stood a chance and didn't even try to protect themselves. The smaller nations in the true world lasted a bit longer before eventually falling back and retreating.

The six superpowers of the true world resisted the monster wave much better than the others.

"Do not let the monsters pass through!"

"We cannot allow our mining stations to incur damage!"

"Defend our territory to the very best of your efforts!"

The evolutionaries gritted their teeth, pushing themselves to the very limit as they surged forth, unleashing a tremendous amount of destruction upon the sea monsters that rampaged through their territory.

The evolutionaries were able to adapt to the intensely different environment quite well thanks to their Path of Adaptive Evolution. Their power and performance at the bottom of the Great Void Ocean were better than most powers aside from that of the seafolk.

While their pathwalkers were weaker than those of the seafolk at the bottom of the ocean, their siege technology and energy were much better. They were also more suited towards attacking larger targets like the sea monsters and beasts of the Great Void Ocean.

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!

A wave of unparalleled destruction emerged from their siege weapons, slamming into an incoming wall of sea monsters and beasts. They continued firing with desperation, all but eager to annihilate every sea monster that tried to destroy them.

And yet, the numbers and the power of the sea monsters proved to be too much. Not only were there too many quasi-Transcendent monsters, but even the countless weaker monsters that swept through the ocean floor proved to be extremely difficult to tackle.

There were too many in number and much smaller, making them much harder to target. They swamped through the defense and security lines that the evolutionaries had erected, reaching the mining capital of the evolutionary territory.

BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM!!!

RUMBLE!

The waters of the ocean quivered as the many forces of the true world swept through the ocean, threatening to wipe any and everything.

The evolutionaries tried to adaptively evolve to the various beasts and monsters that emerged from the depths of the ocean, but they had already dedicated tremendous effort to adaptively evolving to the environment. This left them much less able to adaptively evolve to their enemies, making their response much more static than the dynamism that evolutionaries were famed for.

The weakened response left them unable to protect their territory against the wave of destruction that swept across their base.

BOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

"Rgh…!" the Evolutionary General leading the entire operation gritted his teeth with a frustrated expression. "Retreat!"

"But sir! What about our mines?"

"What about all the negatron matter we have yet to extract?"

"I said retreat!" the Evolutionary General roared. "Ensuring that we live is more important than negatron matter. If we become too weakened in the pursuit of negatron matter, then the generation of miracles will have no one to protect them."

RUMBLE…

Many evolutionaries began returning to their submarine vessels desperately as the giant vessels began powering up, departing from the region with eager haste.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

RUMBLE…

The powerful vessels shook as a titanic shockwave passed them by, damaging their propulsion systems. The sensors of the ship went dark, as if entirely surrounded by an insulating domain, leaving everybody bewildered as to what had even happened.

"What was that?!" The Evolutionary General bellowed from his helm.

"Sir!" one crew member urged him. "You need to take a look at this!"

The Evolutionary General rushed over with a stunned expression as he took a look at the SONAR feed that mapped through the entire environment once more.

"We are… trapped in a cavity…?" A stunned whisper escaped him as he stared at the screen that showed they were stuck in some kind of barricaded enclosure.

One that had many, many teeth arranged in a giant U-curve.

The Evolutionary General's eyes widened with shock. "We're inside the mouth of a monster! It… it captured us instead of trying to kill us!"

Words could not begin to describe just how stunned and shocked the Evolutionary General and all the people around him were.

Not to mention how utterly terrified they were.

"Is it trying to take us hostage?!" The general's eyes widened with shock.

More accurately, it meant that the person who controlled the monsters was trying to take as many hostages as possible.

"Damn!" the general cursed as he fully understood what was going on. "We can't afford to give them any more leverage than they already have! Blast our way out of this darned beast!"

"Our weapons systems and heavy artillery were damaged by the prior attack, sir!"

"I don't care! Ram against its damn teeth! Just get us out of here as soon as possible!"

Alas, the creature that captured them in its mouth was a Tectonic Whale, one of the most powerful quasi-Transcendent sea monsters. While a majority of the forces of the Evolutionary Army successfully retreated, a great many were destroyed and even more were taken hostage, giving the Panamic Continent even greater leverage over its enemies.

Not only would other nations have to reckon with the fact that mining negatron matter was now highly difficult, but that many valuable assets were in the hands of the Panamic Alliance.

The entirety of the attention of the true world had been shifted to the Panama Continent once more. Yet again, they attracted the eyes of hostility, envy, and greed even as the wave of sea monsters swept across the entirety of the ocean, monopolizing the true world for the forces of the Panamic Civilization and their allies.

SPLASH!

Rui emerged from the Great Void Ocean, leaving its depths as he entered the atmosphere, gazing at the setting sun with a sigh of relief.

"That was a good day of work."
