The Fraud Heir to The Strongest Clan

Chapter 107: The Strongest

A cleaving sword, born from otherworldly particles of a foreign star materialized into Cyreth's hand. The power it had was a straight anomaly to the environment that caused intense static electricity around the area. The terrifying yellow glow had streaks of lightning dancing on the blade. And every time Cyreth moved, the mana around him got distorted, causing different elements to ignite into pure light.

Angelus looked at Cyreth with the grandest form of hatred. And as the fallen god took a step forward, the Demon King underwent a real-time evolution.

From his spine protruded a set of huge spider-like legs. They were long and powerful. The giant spider legs lifted Angelus' feet from the ground.

His hands transformed into mantis-like raptorial claws. They were deadly scythes which the Demon King had complete control over.

And now that his fingers are gone, Angelus no longer needs to snap to summon a quantum disturbance. He can now freely summon it at will at any time he desires.

Cyreth healed his wound effortlessly. Then, a few seconds later, the reality-bending explosions filled any space he occupied. Cyreth moved faster than the particles themselves, skillfully evading the devastating atomic shrapnel and slowly inching towards Angelus.

From the outside, it looked like there were about a hundred Dheins blinking in and out of existence. It was Cyreth dodging particles in an atomic scale.

The god didn't even wait for the attack to be over. While quantum explosions were still happening, he swung the glowing cleaver and zapped through reality itself. Light brighter than the sun streaked across the air. Upward, downward and side to side. The corrupted Angelus was at the center of it all, helplessly being cut down into pieces.

Watching all the way from the Sekhtarian castle, Shina and the others witnessed a whole different realm of power. It was something they could never hope to comprehend. Not the visual, not the sounds, nothing made sense to them except for one thing:

Whatever was going on, being anywhere near it meant certain death.

Cyreth was too close to Angelus. He had no choice but to stop the quantum disturbance or he would be hit by it instead.

Angelus was near the southern oceans and Cyreth was standing between him and the castle. Over time, the Demon King was being pushed further and further away from his target.

Moreover, being slashed by the cleaver hurt more than anything he had ever felt in his entire immortal life. It was a sensation he had never had before. Being cut by this primordial blade felt as though his soul was being scorched by the hell flames.

Cyreth was too strong. It made Angelus wonder who could have defeated him during the celestial war. Since being banished from heaven, Angelus had grown significantly stronger, comparable enough to a god. But even if he used all his strength right now, it would barely be enough for someone as savage as Cyreth.

And it wasn't just his power that terrified the Demon King. Each slash, each punch—they were calculated to the last nanometers. They were inhumanly precise and utterly unavoidable.

The Demon King looked at Cyreth's face while being slaughtered. And what he saw was the horrifying fact that Cyreth was loving every second of it.

He didn't grow tired. Not even the least bored. He expressed joy like no human ever did in the world. Angelus began to think if he had wronged this god in the past to savour his pain to this degree.

But no, Angelus couldn't recall such a thing happening. Cyreth was just a brute who found joy in inflicting pain on all things that he truly hated. And of course, Angelus was high up on that list. He had never been able to observe this god closely while they were still in Celestia, but he knew that Cyreth had always hated cowardly traitors who felt no remorse in exploiting the weakness of others — in betraying the trustful.

In that regard, Angelus was guilty. And he was being punished.

After dissecting Angelus' cells into molecular pieces, Cyreth summoned a gigantic ball of a crimson star. It glowed dim and eerie, overpowering the white light of the sun itself.

This creation had never been. So every time the creator had the chance to flaunt it, he made sure that all that was present witnessed it in all its crimson glory.

Behold the crimson star.

Cyreth cast it down. The crimson star shattered the atmosphere, its gravitational pull caused the waves to run wild past the shore as it slowly descended into the earth. And as it was drawing nearer to Angelus, the fallen angel felt true fear in the longest time. Not just of the pain that he was about to endure, but the fact that it was about to bring the one who was inflicting it so much pleasure.

As an immortal, nothing pissed off Angelus more than being used like a toy for someone's satisfaction. It was the exact same reason why he chose to curse the heavenly gods. To think that he would once again suffer this fate...

Alas, Angelus was finally pressed between the earth and the crimson star.

Upon impact, the sea parted and Angelus' very essence was burned in the edge of reality. All living creatures in Sekhtar had to look away or be blinded by the crimson flames. The winds roared like a ghoul in a church. All grains of dust, rock or sand got flung from the center of where the crimson star met the earth.

The ominous red ball of burning energy seeped into the earth first. Then, after a delay, the most powerful and violent beam of light extended from the ground to the sky, erasing everything on its path. The deafening sound of the explosion filled the air before everything became silent.

A giant chasm appeared where Angelus used to be.

When the winds calmed down and the waves returned into the sea, a corrupted hand of a child emerged from the molten chasm.

Angelus was still alive.

However, Cyreth had already finished preparing the most crucial part of his plan.

Beyond the moon in the dark outer space, an imposing crimson star burned dimly. From today onwards, this crimson star will accompany the moon.

And it will be Angelus' final resting place... his permanent prison.
