Titan King: Ascension of the Giant

Chapter 1232: Sovereignty

The Second Layer of the Abyss, the city of Miseria.

This was one of Makareth's lairs. Though he had conquered the Demondrake territory, he preferred to reside in his original domain—a land he had carved out with his own two fists, paid for in blood and sweat.

"Guards," Makareth's indifferent voice echoed coldly from within the demonic castle.

A squad of demon guards entered his meditation chamber.

"My orders," he said without opening his eyes. "Take half of the latest tribute and deliver it to Vigil's Point. If the lady of the house asks why, tell her disaster is coming, and that she should prepare."

Within the Champions Alliance, when it came to playing the game, to political savvy, Makareth was second to none. He executed every move flawlessly.

The guards departed to carry out his command.

Far away, in Vigil's Point, the succubus Delilah's eyes slowly opened in her private chamber. A brilliant, captivating light flared within them before softening.

She had ascended.

Now at the Legendary level, Delilah sat in the silence, radiating an innate, noble aura. She was no longer just a succubus; she was a queen. Her face was a perfect blend of bewitching allure and stately grace, every glance and every subtle movement carrying a soul-stealing beauty. It was a presence—regal, elegant, and profound.

Moments later, she appeared on the throne of Vigil's Point.

Only two beings were permitted to sit there: Orion and Delilah. Here, he was her man, and she was his woman.

Her silken robes, exquisitely detailed and ornate, flowed around her. Her attire was far more modest than it once had been, yet her seductive power had only intensified. Her slender fingers rested on the arm of the throne as she looked down with a faint, knowing smile at the demon guard Makareth had sent.

"My Lady," the guard began, "by order of my lord, this is the latest…"

He felt no pressure in the presence of the Legendary-level Delilah, for he was of that rank himself. But addressing her as 'My Lady' was a sign of deep respect, an acknowledgment of the terrifying power that stood behind Vigil's Point—the power that had won his own lord his vast domain.

"Thank you," Delilah's voice was like velvet. "Please convey our gratitude to your lord. Vigil's Point and the city of Miseria are bound in eternal friendship. We are your most faithful allies. In the face of war and disaster, we will always stand together. In this second layer of the abyss, Vigil's Point will follow the will of Miseria's master. We advance and retreat as one."

The demon guard departed, a sense of deep satisfaction settling over him. The Succubus Queen had been gracious, her attitude one of perfect diplomacy. Vigil's Point's stance would please Makareth immensely. The alliance was a given, not just because of the relationship between their patrons, but because of pure strategic necessity.

Vigil's Point stood in the very heart of Makareth's territory; they had to be allies. When an outside threat appeared, they would have no choice but to face it together.

"The Unhallowed, is it?"

Only after the demon guard was long gone did a truly bewitching smile bloom on Delilah's face, a soft, intimate expression that not even Orion had ever seen. Her lips parted slightly, as if holding a secret, a flower on the verge of opening, inviting a desperate need to discover what lay within.

Her beauty, like her power, had ascended to a new level. Her aura was a paradox of regal dignity and the deep, greedy desire for power and pleasure that was the birthright of a succubus. The old melancholy, the self-doubt, was gone from her eyes.

In its place was unshakable confidence.

Coming to the abyss, taking command of Vigil's Point, becoming the ruler of countless succubi—the moment she had ascended, Delilah had been reborn. She was a true Succubus Queen. The next stage, archlord, was no longer a distant dream, but an inevitability.

"I wonder what this Moon Elf looks like," she mused aloud, a flicker of something unreadable in her eyes. "Among all of Orion's women, only Lilith and she have been granted a grand wedding ceremony. How enviable."

Though she was in the abyss, the true authority of the Sentinel Corps remained hers. She had delegated some duties, but its ultimate leadership was still Delilah's. The fact that Orion had never asked her to relinquish that power was its own form of confirmation, of trust.

"Ah… but comparison is the thief of joy, isn't it?"

Though she sighed with feigned envy, her eyes shone with self-assurance. Ascending to the Legendary level had burned away the last shadows of her past. As a Succubus Queen, she would not envy any other woman.

Because a Succubus Queen was the one all other women were meant to envy.

"Orion is mine," she whispered to the empty throne room, a vow more potent than any spell. "I will make his soul and his body drown in endless bliss."

It was not a mere seduction. It was a declaration of war on every other woman who laid claim to him, including her own sister, Lilith. When it came to this, Delilah would have sovereignty.

Titanion Realm, Stoneheart City.

Orion's eyes opened in his castle chambers, a flicker of genuine pleasure in them.

Delilah had reached the Legendary level. Vigil's Point now had its anchor. He was deeply satisfied with his grand steward.

Yes, that's what she was. For a long time, the real power of the Stoneheart Horde had rested in Delilah's capable hands. Rumors swirled throughout their lands: that the Elder of Stewardship, Delilah, was Orion's true wife; that Delilah was just another name for Lilith; that Orion himself was a figurehead, and Delilah was the true lord behind the throne.

The rumors varied, but they all pointed to one undeniable truth: Delilah's power within the Stoneheart Horde was immense. Even now, in the abyss, her influence remained.

In truth, placing Delilah in Vigil's Point was merely a phase for her to acclimate to the rules of the abyss. He would never shelve his most capable administrator. Once she had stabilized Vigil's Point and established a new branch of the Sentinel Corps there, the time would be right for her to take command of the Foundry Citadel itself. In the future, when the Stoneheart Horde invaded even higher dimensions of the abyss, it would be Delilah who led the charge.

Building her a throne in Vigil's Point had been a clear signal: he was grooming her to be his viceroy in the abyss.

One sister would rule his holdings in the abyss, the other would rule everything outside of it. It was his repayment to them. They had been with him from the early days, sharing in his hardships, facing countless risks by his side. For the succubus sisters, what Orion felt was more than just love; it was gratitude.
