Right at that moment, Ace's eyes glowed silver and violet, infused with his new mystic truths. He raised his hand, and the Crown of Dominion manifested above him, suppressing the raging tide into stillness.
Their rebellion froze mid-scream.
With Eyes of the Sovereign, he pierced through the golden crown's endless illusions, recognizing it for what it was—a prison of self-worship, not true mastery.
However, Ace wasn't done, as he used the same trick again. With a vast amount of primordial spirit Qi, he finally invoked Authority Reversal, seizing the very authority of the trial itself and turning the weight of Pride back onto the golden crown.
The false divinity cracked, shattered, and exploded into fragments of light, and the next moment, everything came to an end.
At this moment, Ace found himself once more on the obsidian plain before the Seven Pillars. The profound aura around him instantly dispersed as his chest heaved, his soul scorched with effort, but the three mystic abilities of Pride now burned within him like new stars.
He wiped sweat from his brow, murmuring with grim realization, "So it's true. Each sin trial forces not only comprehension, but the mastery of three mystic abilities. Seven sins…meaning, twenty-one mystic truths. Only by enduring them all can I seize the legacy of the Ancestor of Profane Chains."
However, at this moment, Ace suddenly felt ecstatic because he gained something additional from these two trials, 'I never thought Mystic abilities could be used this way, and in such sequences. Especially the mystic abilities of these unique laws, they are completely different from weapon law mystic abilities…'
The moment Ace's trembling breath steadied, the crimson pillar flared.
Its blazing glyph — a twisted flame that seemed to burn even the void—pulsed violently, almost impatiently, as though mocking his desire to rest. The entire obsidian plain trembled, and the air itself ignited in a frenzy of blood-red fire.
At that moment, Ace grimaced, "...Looks like I don't get to choose again."
Before he could prepare, that fiery light engulfed him, searing straight through the defenses of his soul. It wasn't heat — it was rage. Raw, boiling, ancient rage that cared for neither reason nor restraint.
The next instant, the abyss dissolved, and the ancient voice thundered once more…
"Wrath is the sin born from wounded pride, stifled fear, and unbound will. It is the blaze that destroys both tyrant and victim alike. Face it—or be consumed…"
As the words fade away, the world reformed around Ace.
Right now, he stood amidst a colossal battlefield under a blood-drenched sky.
Endless corpses carpeted the ground—devils, humans, beasts—all twisted in agony. The earth quaked, rivers of molten blood ran wild, and in the distance, towers of flame roared like gods enraged.
Yet among this chaos stood one figure—a perfect reflection of Ace himself, but burning with crimson fire and eyes like molten suns.
Ace was shocked when he saw his perfect reflection, but he was filled with something foreign. Yet at that same time, Ace felt he was familiar with that manifested fury.
"What is this…" Ace muttered grimly.
But it was just the start as suddenly, the clone smiled savagely right at Ace, "I am what you hide behind reason—the fury of betrayal, the wrath you swallowed, the storm you deny. I am every scream you buried in silence…"
Ace was startled, but without warning, the clone launched an attack. Space folded and shattered as Wrath-Ace tore through distance, a blow like an erupting star crashing against Ace's guard.
The attack was astoundingly swift and filled with grand power, and Ace instantly tried to dodge, but it wasn't enough, so he quickly used some recovered primordial spirit Qi to defend.
'Boom!'
The attack struck, and the impact sent Ace tumbling across the ground, blood spilling from his lips, and his eyes were filled with shock. He could feel his soul trembling under the pure killing intent embedded in that strike—raw, primal, and boundless.
"Damn… so this one's physical and mental both…" A realization struck him at this moment.
But it was the beginning, as with each breath he took, the environment provoked him. He heard whispers—the faces of every enemy he'd ever faced, every humiliation, every failure. Each whisper fanned the spark of rage in his heart.
"You've stolen, killed, deceived," The voices hissed. "And yet you hold back? You call yourself Heaven's Stealer but fear your own power?"
Ace gritted his teeth, his heart pounding as his temper surged uncontrollably.
"Heh, still holding back?" The Wrath-Ace mocked before it launched another attack, and this time, it came from all directions in the shape of flaming fury.
Without hesitation, Ace swallowed another pill and invoked the law of destruction to counter that furious flame.
But he didn't know that in these trials, any law other than Sin law would be decreased in power, and that flame instantly overcame that law of destruction, engulfing him whole!
"Burn under your own fury! Burn until there is nothing but fury left in you!" The Wrath-Ace roared in wanton madness as his eyes shimmered with abyssal fury that wanted to swallow everything!
Ace felt that his mind was burning, not his body, as his emotions seemed to be corrupted by maddening rage. The law of Wrath was extremely terrifying and overbearing.
'I…I can't lose in this madness!' Ace strengthened his resolve and didn't give in to his fury, but it was a tough battle.
But all of a sudden, at that moment, the Law of Sin stirred violently, trying to devour the madness. But this wasn't mere madness—it was righteous fury, emotion made law.
However, the previously strengthened law of Sin seems to have been activated, and the wrath within it comes alive!
At that moment, comprehension began to dawn within the inferno.
'Wrath… isn't mindless…its force born from pain, like energy seeking outlet...'
Almost instantly, the Sin of Wrath unfolded within his mind, revealing its three Mystic Abilities!
Infernal Surge converts emotion, pain, and fury into explosive power that multiplies strength at the cost of reason.
Blood Vortex Howl channels Wrath's resonance into a destructive storm that devours vitality and intent from enemies.
Crimson Retribution reflects any hostile energy or attacks back with magnified intensity, feeding on the opponent's killing intent.
Ace exhaled shakily as realization dawned. 'Wrath isn't chaos. Its power unchained. If I control it, it becomes a weapon, and if it controls me, I vanish!'
