Alger flew as fast as he could. The only priest with Divine Power was in the capital, and he must return to the capital right away and receive the treatment. Of course, he just needed to reach the closest city with a teleportation portal.

He kept looking back, looking at his own legs. The rotten part had reached his knee. He could see the bone that had turned black. A big chunk of his flesh was gone at that time, crumbled off as the rotten spread out.

Alger finally reached the city, and he tore down the defensive barrier protecting it. The cracking sound spread throughout the city as bells rang. The city thought they were under attack.

Alger didn't really care about that as he went to the teleportation portal. Portal guards recognized him. He was one of the three famed commanders, so most people of the Auriga Kingdom recognized him.

"Set the portal to the capital!" He ordered the guard.

The portal guard looked at the rotting legs for a moment before nodding and leaving to set up the portal.

The moment the portal was active, Alger jumped into it without saying anything about breaking the city's barrier. He appeared on the other side, and his current appearance shocked the guards on this portal.

He flew toward the castle and sought the priest. There was an annex building for the high-ranking priests living there.

All people in the capital recognized him, so the priest didn't question him when he barged in. They immediately tried to heal him right away. To his relief, it worked just like Tang Shaoyang said.

It worked, but it was very slow, and it took four high-ranking priests to patch him back. It was a nerve-wracking moment in his life because the cause was unknown, and it slowly ate his flesh and bones. That was something he had never encountered before.

Fortunately, the priests managed to expel whatever it was and regenerated his legs. He was sitting down on the bed, touching his regenerated legs. The priests triple-checked to ensure there was no complication, and he was fine.

The door was flung open as the King entered the room with his attendants. The King was accompanied by three ministers, alongside his two comrades of the two famed generals, and three cryptic figures who had their faces covered with plain white masks, the people from the intelligence ministry.

Alger expected them to come because he sent a message to his comrades when he fled from the battlefield. He told them how the attack was a failure and their army was annihilated.

"You have made quite a ruckus for someone who fails to carry my edict, huh, Alger?" The King came over, carrying the elegance of royalty.

Alger came down from the bed, kneeling to the King, "I…" He wanted to give more detailed information, but there was no such thing. He lost the fight straightforwardly.

"Yes. We were annihilated in a few minutes. There was nothing I could do. If you want to ask me why I am alive. That was because he let me live to send you a message, Your Majesty."

He didn't bother with the pleasantries, or excuses, or even express his regret. Even if they were given a chance, there was nothing he could do when they fought such powerful figures.

The King raised his right foot and was about to kick Alger in the head to express his rage. However, Alger caught the ankle easily. The King was a God Rank, but the King was rarely set into the battlefield ever since he was throned as the King. Alger easily caught the leg, which surprised everyone in the room.

Even if they could dodge or block the kick, they were not supposed to. They just needed to receive it and get over it. Such an action surprised everyone, especially those who knew Alger.

"YOU!" The King became even more furious, but he flinched when Alger looked up at him. Alger's expression intimidated him, an expression of someone who didn't fear death.

"I have been fighting for your sake for years. I put my life on the line many times to protect our border. I can't accept it if you are going to treat me like this, Your Majesty!"

Alger himself didn't know what compelled him to say that, but he ended up saying it aloud.

"You send me to attack an unknown faction with no information, despite my several attempts to tell you that we need to gather information about them first. Now you are blaming me when we are facing someone more powerful than us, that they are the only three people to wipe out my army? What do you expect me to do when they are just too powerful for my army, Your Majesty? If you are in my position, what would you do? Tell me, Your Majesty!"

The two commanders immediately stepped up and apprehended Alger. The two held him to the ground. The two were confused about what Alger did. If he had just received that kick, he would be fine. The King would not punish harshly even after losing the battle, but Alger opposed the prideful King openly like this. This would not end well for Alger.

The King took two steps back and was quite terrified deep inside. He also didn't expect Alger to show that kind of aggression to him.

The three ministers: Left Minister, Right Minister, and Minister of Defense stepped up. The Left Minister and Right Minister calmed the King because they could tell how unusual Alger was.

The Minister of Defense squatted to get closer to Alger, "Don't make things hard for you, Alger. You said he left you alive because he wanted you to send a message. Tell us about the message."

"Don't worry. I don't plan to hold the information. The message is, don't come closer to his territory ever again. If our people are spotted near his territory, he will take it as a war declaration, and he will come to attack our kingdom. That's the message."

"Then why did he annihilate our army if he didn't want to go to war against us!?" The King raised his voice, furious while pointing his finger at Alger.

The three ministers and the two commanders were speechless when they heard that. They didn't think the same as the King. They came with the intention to attack and take over the territory. That was a weird thing to say from the King, but no one pointed it out.

"Do you know anything else, Commander Alger? What about his name? His factions? Or what do these three people look like? Maybe you have more information about them?" One of the people from the intelligence ministry asked in a muffled voice, disguising their real voice.

"I know his name, but I never heard of him before. His name is Tang Shaoyang, and he is the Emperor of the Tang Empire. The other two were women, both of whom are exceptional beauties. One is a human, at least she looks like a human, and the second one is a Fallen Angel."

Alger didn't hide any information. While he was angry at the King, the Auriga Kingdom was still his home. He would give the information he had to protect his home.

"Oh no…" One of the people from the Intelligence Ministry blurted out that it caught everyone's attention.

"It's indeed, oh no," The second one from the Intelligence Ministry nodded in agreement, "And I am surprised that none of you know, even though we have mentioned this name in our latest major assembly."

Not just the three ministers and the three commanders, even the King looked confused, trying to recall their latest assembly.

"The new Executive Administrator, his name is Tang Shaoyang."

The King's eyes widened in shock, and so did the others. Just an Administrator was enough to bring dread to the Auriga Kingdom, let alone an Executive Administrator.

"Are you sure? Maybe they only have the same name?" The King tried to act cool and hoped these two only had the same name.

However, the three people from the Intelligence Ministry shook their heads as one of them told the King with more explanation.

"Everything is checked out, Your Majesty. We didn't get everything about Tang Shaoyang because it was too expensive for our budget, but we got the general information."

"His name is Tang Shaoyang, his faction is the Tang Empire. He became an administrator in about two years, or maybe less than two years. He won the whole Trial of God. That's how he becomes an Administrator, and it makes sense that the System grants him a territory in the God Realm."

"I have heard some rumors about the powerful fallen angel on his side, but we didn't know about the second. Again, that's just a rumor, but the rumor is most likely true if Alger doesn't lie with his information. Then yes, this person is the Executive Administrator Tang Shaoyang."

That conclusion brought an eerie silence in the room.

After a while, the King called for an emergency assembly and sent Alger Balaban to a detention house for his transgression.

Alger Balaban was sitting on the bed after being stripped of everything. He was wearing ordinary clothes, his inventory was emptied, and his leg was chained to the wall. He was being treated like a criminal already, and it had been twelve hours since he was put in this place.

Alger expected this to happen, so he didn't really show any emotion when it happened. He lay down on the bed and was about to sleep until he sensed a presence in the room.

He jolted awake and saw a creature made of shadow in the shape of a wolf, standing next to the door, looking at him with its red eyes.
