MIGHT AS WELL BE OP

Chapter 803: Time Corrosion

At those words, few gaze in the area shifted instantly toward Anthony, Vega, Kingsley, Collins, Mitchelle, and Michael. The one who had spoken was from the Bone race, an ancient species known for their pale skeletal appearance. Judging from his oppressive aura, he clearly belonged to the older generation, a being whose power had long since crossed the threshold of planetary mastery.

His hollow, bone-white eyes fixed sharply on Anthony and the others, radiating disdain as though they were vermin beneath his notice.

But neither Anthony nor the rest reacted. They simply floated there, suspended in the air, their composure unbroken, their expressions indifferent, as though they weren't even being addressed. The man from the Bone race, known as Xrvexy, frowned deeply, his face tightening in visible irritation.

Being ignored was something he was unaccustomed to, and it burned his pride like acid. To be disregarded by mere humans was, to him, no different than a noble beast being dismissed by insects.

"I'm talking to you, humans!" Xrvexy barked again, his voice sharp and bone-dry, echoing like cracking stone through the atmosphere. This time, his outburst drew the full attention of the surrounding races. One by one, eyes turned toward Anthony and his companions.

Many chose not to interfere; instead, they hovered in silence, intrigued by the developing confrontation. Some wore faint, amused smiles, enjoying the unfolding spectacle with barely veiled schadenfreude. After all, watching the humiliation of another race had its own form of entertainment.

Xrvexy's bone-carved gaze shifted toward the First Supreme Monarch, the towering Dragon whose calm, ancient aura made even space itself seem to tremble. "Dragon," Xrvexy sneered, his tone dripping with contempt, "is your world so feeble that it's dominated by humans? Out of the eight of you here, six are human. Aren't you and the Titan both a disgrace to your bloodlines?"

A thick, oppressive silence fell. The air itself seemed to still, heavy with anticipation, as though the heavens were holding their breath to witness what would follow. But… nothing came. No violent outburst. No aura tearing through the clouds. No furious roar or retaliation.

The Five Supreme Monarchs remained utterly still, their gazes calm and unreadable. They had lived for far too long, endured far too many wars, to be provoked by mere insults. As for Anthony, Vega, and Kingsley, none of them saw a reason to react. To them, this was a squabble between the older generation, a clash of egos that held no importance.

Anthony tilted his head slightly, his expression slightly amused. Then, with casual indifference, a tub of popcorn appeared in his hands, freshly purchased from his system. "Guess we're getting a free show," he said lazily, passing some to Vega and Kingsley. "Want some?"

Vega accepted with a faint smile, and Kingsley nodded silently, taking a handful. The three of them sat in midair, relaxed and unbothered, as though the escalating tension was nothing more than a performance for their amusement.

Kingsley, however, could feel several powerful eyes studying him. He knew why, they were curious. Despite lacking visible mana or aura, he floated effortlessly in the oppressive gravity, unaffected by the crushing weight that would pulverize most beings. To them, his calm defiance of the planet's natural force was both fascinating and tempting.

Xrvexy's composure snapped. His aura exploded outward in a violent surge, the very air quivering under the weight of his rage. He had initially expected the Dragon and the Titan Monarchs to discipline these "lowly humans," but their indifference only humiliated him further. His voice twisted with fury, his skeletal frame trembling as mana began to pour from his body in dense waves.

The four other elders of the Bone race, each powerful in their own right, glanced at one another. They made no move to stop him. Instead, they expanded their own auras, forming a barrier around their younger generation to shield them from whatever chaos would follow. They knew Xrvexy's temper; stopping him now would only invite his wrath.

Xrvexy raised his arm, his fingers extending like sharp, jagged blades. The mana flowing from his body solidified in an instant, bleeding into the very air around him. A sickening creak echoed through space as thousands of massive bone spikes materialized between him and Anthony's group, each one radiating lethal weight. Without hesitation, they shot forward, tearing through air and space alike as they flew toward their targets with catastrophic speed.

And then, everything froze.

Every bone projectile halted midair, suspended as if time itself had turned to glass. The power behind them vanished into stillness, leaving only silence in its wake.

"If you are bored," came a calm, ancient voice, "find a dog to chew on you."

The First Supreme Monarch's tone was lazy, almost uninterested, yet his words resonated through the minds of every being present. Before Xrvexy could even blink, the Dragon moved. Space warped calmly as the distance between them ceased to exist. One moment, the Monarch was several hundred meters away; the next, he was directly beside Xrvexy, his dragon-scaled palm resting gently upon the Bone elder's shoulder.

Time Corrosion

The words rolled out softly, yet the effect was immediate, and horrifying.

An immense surge of mana erupted from the First Supreme Monarch's core, rippling through the surrounding air. Xrvexy's body stiffened as a strange, foreign energy invaded his form. His bones began to corrode, black veins spreading like cracks through ancient marble. His hollow eyes widened in disbelief and terror. He tried to scream, to fight back, but his voice never came. Within seconds, his entire body decayed, disintegrating into fine gray dust that scattered into the wind.

The silence that followed was deafening.

Across the field, countless figures flinched in shock. Even the arrogant ones who had smirked moments ago now recoiled in disbelief. The aura of the First Supreme Monarch, his control over time itself, was not something any of them could comprehend, let alone challenge. They had just witnessed him erase a planetary-level being from existence with a single touch.

Instantly, several figures retreated, tearing backward through the air at frightening speed, desperate to distance themselves from the Dragon Monarch. Their instincts screamed that even a stray glance from him could mean death.

The power of Time Corrosion was absolute, it was a skill. It allowed the First Supreme Monarch to kill any being he touched, so long as his mana exceeded theirs. It cared nothing for battle prowess or physical defense; no armor or spell could withstand the decay of time. The ability had no cooldown, no limit, and no mercy.

The four remaining elders of the Bone race, their faces twisted in both horror and rage, began to summon their power, but they never got the chance.

The First Supreme Monarch raised a single finger. The air trembled as mana surged once again, warping the very fabric of existence.

Time Sever

The words carried deadly weight.

For a heartbeat, all reality stood still. Then, shimmering particles of time, threads of gold and silver, appeared, trembling violently as if resisting the command. In the next instant, space itself split apart. Reality fractured, sheared cleanly in two, and then shattered entirely. The world bent and screamed as the seven remaining members of the Bone race were caught within the temporal rupture, and vanished. Not a trace of them remained.

When the chaos faded, the First Supreme Monarch floated alone, his face calm and expressionless, as though he had merely swatted away insects. The sky was eerily still once more, the air heavy with unspoken fear and awe. He had ended an entire group without a single explosion or drawn-out battle, only precision, dominance, and overwhelming power.

It was this power that solidified his place as the unrivaled ruler of the military, the apex of the Dragon race. Combined with the vast resources granted to him after Anthony's victory in the Starborn Tournament, the First Supreme Monarch's battle prowess was nothing to scoff at.

His golden ringed eyes turned briefly toward the aircraft the Bone race had arrived in. With a simple wave of his hand, the entire vessel vanished into his space ring. Without uttering another word, he disappeared from where he stood, reappearing beside the other Supreme Monarchs as if nothing had transpired at all.

The world, once vibrant with tension, was silent once more. The Monarch simply floated in place, unmoving, his presence vast and serene, an eternal reminder that in the face of true power, arrogance was nothing more than dust on the wind.
