Soon, the members gathered in the recording studio on the second floor.

The members each claimed their own spot in this tiny room. The three troublemakers: Xi Huan, Yeo Haru and Xu Jiji, all sat on one sofa. While Rayen, Iris and Ren sat on the other. In front of the computer and equipment were Adrian and Liam who were the first to arrive here.

Only Mr. Big News was standing.

Sitting comfortably on the office chair, Adrian listened to Yeo Haru's song for the nth time. When the song finished playing, he took off the headphones, smiling at Yeo Haru.

"No matter how many times I listen to this, I'm still amazed by Yeo Haru's dedication."

Upon hearing Adrian's "compliment", Yeo Haru's face flushed.

"I told you, I haven't participated in anything in the production of this song." Yeo Han denied.

Adrian chuckled. He stared at the still unfinished first draft on the monitor screen. By the time that they arrived in this room earlier, Liam was alone, taking a break from working on the song diligently upon Xi Huan's request.

"But I don't think we can use this song," Adrian suddenly declared.

Liam stiffened.

"It's too silly," their leader continued.

In disappointment, Liam's shoulder fell.

"What?!" Xi Huan suddenly exclaimed. "But we worked hard for this song. You can't just suddenly throw it away, Adidi!"

"No. We can't use this," Adrian repeated.

Xi Huan turned toward Rayen, her face full of injustice.

"Rayen! Tell Adidi it's good!"

The corner of Rayen's mouth twitched.

'Why does it have to be me? Don't you have the ability to hypnotize someone? Why not just use it on Adrian instead of dragging me?'

However, Xi Huan ignored the expression on Rayen's face.

"You already agreed that it was good earlier, Rayeye!"

"When?" Rayen raised his brow.

When did he even agree to it? What would they look like if they presented this draft?!

But looking at Liam's disappointed figure, Rayen stood up from his seat and signalled for Adrian to give him the headphones. Once handed, he put it on and pressed the play button.

He listened intently.

Liam's arrangement wasn't bad. After all, they were former band members — they have experience. But Rayen gradually scrunched up his face as he kept listening.

'There's still something missing…'

Both Rayen and Liam do have experience in production and skills, but something felt different. He had an S stat on his production skills, so he could easily perceive this subtle detail on the song.

Was it the lyrics?

Rayen shook his head. After the song finished, he took off the headphones, with a deep frown on his face.

Taking a peek at Liam, he said, "I think we can just take the song arrangement and erase the lines. The song is fine."

Immediately, Liam's pouting disappeared. Once he saw that his old friend was no longer mourning, Rayen took his eyes off of him.

'It's just the first draft, anyway.'

Even though there was something missing, they would figure it out along the way.

For a while, the team was silent, waiting for Rayen to say his input.

Amidst this silence, Ren also took the headphones from Rayen's hand to listen to the song.

Unexpectedly, it was Ren who spoke first.

Pressing the pause button, he faced everyone. "I have an idea."

Adrian and the others turned to look at him.

"What is it?"

"There's no need to remove all of Yeo Haru's lyrics. You just have to revise parts of it."

Xi Huan's eyes teared up. "Renene…"

Rayen touched his chin in contemplation.

But Ren still wasn't done with his explanation. He then pressed the rewind button and removed the headphone's plug before playing the song again.

"I don't want to!!!"

Yeo Han's voice resounded throughout the whole room. Ren pressed the pause button.

"I have a suggestion for this part." Ren glanced at Rayen. It took him a while before he could utter his next words. "... Can you modify this into a scary scream?"

Rayen blinked. "... What?"

'This guy actually talked to me politely?'

"A scary scream," Ren repeated.

Rayen softly responded, "It's possible..."

"Then do it now."

Rayen pursed his lips.

'Oh, nevermind.'

Still, he moved and pushed away from Adrian out of the office chair.

"..." The team eyed the two's interaction.

Rayen ignored their gazes and focused on the task he was given. He skillfully navigated through the Audio Workstation with ease. After clicking on the mouse and a few presses on the keyboard, Rayen had ultimately managed to modify the audio. Then, he pressed play on the keyboard.

"I don't want to!!!"

The stubborn shouting of Yeo Haru earlier had turned into a shrill scream of fear.

Rayen's hand stiffened.

'This…'

He pressed the rewind and played it again.

Somehow, the screaming meshed well with the accompanying music.

Gradually, he turned to Ren.

'Is this person secretly a genius composer?'

With that, the corner of Ren's lips slightly turned up.

"But Eyeliner Babe, what do you want to say with this?" Adrian asked.

Ren calmly faced their leader. "How about a horror concept for our debut?"

Adrian was unable to react for a moment.

"Let's revise this song into the horror of adulting."

With Ren having provided him with direction, Rayen's mind quickly worked on it.

'Should I add a wind sample here to make it eerie?'

Rayen easily swiped the mouse to navigate through the workstation and familiarize himself. Although Rayen seemed skilled with this thing, it was actually the first time he used this workstation.

Liam opened his mouth to say something, but when Rayen clicked on the Sound Bank, Liam closed his mouth.

Rayen also pursed his lips, his hand stopped swiping midway.
