Rayen restrained himself from letting his annoyance show on his face. Earlier, Plotter reminded them that there would be cameras inside the booth.
Breathing three times, he calmed himself down.
His experience of being a celebrity and the four months of being under the cameras in the show hadn't been in vain.
"How should I do it?" Rayen asked Jejun.
Lee Jejun patiently explained to Rayen what to do. After three more tries, Jejun was finally satisfied.
Leaving the booth, Rayen sighed in relief. It wasn't just him who had to retry his parts a few times. In fact, he took less time than the others did to finish their parts.
The next one to step in was actually Yeo Haru.
A few seconds later...
"I already told you. Use your core muscles, not your throat," Jejun instructed.
Yeo Haru nodded and sang again...
"No. Not like that."
After many attempts, the corner of Yeo Haru's eyes had already reddened to the point of almost bursting into tears.
Noticing this, Jejun stopped. "Take a break. Next."
"Don't make the kid cry, Jejun. You always make Haru cry," Felix said.
"If he always cries at every hardship, how would he last in this industry?" Jejun reasoned.
Felix gave up and shrugged.
Yeo Haru could only go out of the booth, fighting the urge to cry. When he got back down beside Xi Huan, she asked him,
"Want me to dispose of him, Haruru?!"
Yeo Haru sniffled. "No. He's not doing it on purpose..."
Xi Huan shut her mouth upon getting rejected.
Rayen watched from the side. He could agree that Jejun wasn't really doing it on purpose. Perhaps... he's just really professional.
The next person to enter was Adrian.
In the end, because of Jejun's pickiness, they only managed to record one song for that day. However, even though it was only one song, everyone was still tired.
Once they arrived at their dorm after a day of hard work, no one even had the energy to talk and they all went straight to bed.
The next few days were also the same. But little did they know that it was just the beginning.
When the polished version of the title track was completed, it was delivered to them by Felix. Even though it was already polished, they still had to record a few more songs.
…
Amidst this hectic schedule, Rayen had to wake up at the same time as the hateful person in his room.
That detestable fellow actually set his alarm on full speakers!
Unexpectedly, only Rayen was the one woken up by the alarm. Ren, who woke up earlier than when his alarm went off, was already tidying up his bed. As for Yeo Haru, he was long gone, his bed neat and tidy as though no one touched it.
Left with no choice, Rayen groggily went out of their room.
But as soon as he opened the door, a lifeless body greeted him in the living room. Rayen stiffened.
At the same time, the door to the girls' bedroom also opened. Xi Huan and Iris went out of the room, yawning. When they noticed Rayen's stiff posture, they thought he had seen a ghost, but when they turned toward the direction of his gaze, they also stiffened in place.
Just then, the door to the bathroom creaked open. At the same time, a groan resounded from the dark bathroom. The three gradually turned their heads toward it only to see a pale hand reaching out to the door frame.
"Z-Z-Zombie…" Xi Huan grinned in terror.
Gradually, the zombie walked out of the door. Head low on his chest, the figure slowly approached the three of them with wobbling steps.
"AHHHH!!!" Iris screamed in fright.
Flinching in surprise, the "zombie" suddenly stopped in place and lifted his head to look at the one screaming.
"Why are you screaming early in the morning?" Yee Haru asked, annoyance clearly written on his face.
Once Iris recognized his voice, her screams gradually faded. "Y-Yeo Haru?"
"Yes. Who else would it be except for me?"
Calming down, Iris sighed in relief.
Then she glanced at the body on the floor. "Who's that?"
Yeo Haru slowly turned his head toward the direction where Iris was pointing, his movements so slow as though his muscles were strained.
"Isn't that Xu Jiji?"
"Jiji?"
Iris didn't recognize Xu Jiji for a moment because the "body" in the carpet wasn't that short anymore. Truly, the Vitamin T was effective.
"Yes." Yero Haru proceeded toward Xu Jiji in slow motions and kicked him. "Oi, Jiji. Wake up. Did you sleep here?"
Since their birthdays were less than a year apart, even though Xu Jiji was a bit older, Yeo Haru wasn't required to use honorifics with him.
Gradually, the "dead body" stirred. Xu Jiji slowly lifted his head to glare at Yeo Haru.
"Who disturbed my sleep?"
"It's the great me." Yeo Haru declared proudly.
Since he was done explaining the matter, Yeo Haru turned away from him. But then, Xu Jiji suddenly grabbed him by his legs.
"What are you doing?" Yeo Haru said, turning back stiffly.
But Xu Jiji spared him no words and instead opened his mouth and then... took a bite.
Unable to react on time, Yeo Haru's hoarse voice resounded throughout the building.
"AAAAAHHH!!! Let go! Let go! Stop biting!"
The people watching this scene were dumbfounded. Yeo Haru's screams also disturbed the residents in the other rooms. When Mr. Big News came out of their room and saw this scene, his eyes widened.
"What's happening?" Adrian grumbled.
Mr. Big News lunged at Xu Jiji, finally prying him off Yeo Haru's leg.
Yeo Haru was now thoroughly awake, the corner of his eyes tearing up.
"Are you a dog?!" He cried, but Xu Jiji only went back to sleep on the floor.
Rayen and Mr. Big News looked at Iris. They finally realized why Iris was hesitant to wake Xu Jiji up herself.
Fortunately, today was a weekend. There were no classes, so they just let Xu Jiji go back to sleep for a while. But he couldn't sleep for so long, either since they had practice sessions.
It was Mr. Big News's turn to cook so he coaxed Xu Jiji with his food so that he wouldn't get chomped on by him if he woke him up. Unexpectedly, it was quite effective.
"Why did you sleep here?" Mr. Big News asked.
Xu Jiji rubbed his eyes. "I don't know. I must have been too tired to walk back to my room last night."
Mr. Big News was speechless.
Only now did Rayen realize, every time they were about to sleep, Yeo Haru usually returned late at night from the practice room… sleepy and battered. Sometimes, he wouldn't even return even after Rayen and Ren had slept.
These kids had to divide their already packed schedule in order to come up with the choreography.
Yeo Haru was still better off than Xu Jiji, though, since Xu Jiji had to attend school despite all that.
After eating breakfast, the team headed to the practice room where they had to practice the choreography that Yeo Haru and Xu Jiji painstakingly worked on for the past few nights.
The days passed like this until eventually, the day of the music video filming arrived.
