I Become The Richest Man With A monthly Salary of Twenty Thousand Yuan

Chapter 410: Admitted! The Master

Meng Kezhong smiled.

"Alright, I, Meng Kezhong, will take that bet. You name the terms."

Xia Liang thought for a moment.

"You slapped him just now. If you lose, you will return that slap tenfold."

At these words, the members of the Meng Family immediately erupted.

"Kid, you've got some nerve!"

"How dare you, a half-grown swindler, come here and tell the Meng Family what to do?"

"You won't be leaving here so easily today."

With just one sentence, Xia Liang had incited their collective rage. After all, Meng Kezhong held the highest status in the Meng Family. He was also the eldest son. To slap his face was a direct insult to the entire Meng Family.

Even Meng Kexi tried to persuade him from the side, "Master Xia Tian, just let it go..."

Faced with the threats from the Meng Family disciples, Xia Liang just smiled faintly.

"What? The great business tycoon Meng Kezhong doesn't dare to take a little wager like this?"

"Interesting!" Meng Kezhong nodded. "Lay out the terms. What's the bet?"

Xia Liang spoke casually, "The bet is that within ten minutes, you'll be begging me to check your family's feng shui."

Meng Kezhong burst into laughter.

"Begging you to check my family's feng shui? I'd like to see if you actually have the ability."

Xia Liang glanced at him, and instantly, Meng Kezhong's information and recent past flooded his mind.

"Meng Kezhong, born in 1972, a business tycoon from Jinling City. Am I right?"

Meng Kezhong sneered.

"Anyone could find that out with a little digging, right?"

Xia Liang ignored his sarcasm and continued, "Recently, your company has been continuously losing money. Just last night, before hearing from Meng Kexi about moving the ancestral graves, you were in a meeting about this very issue. Afterwards, without even glancing at the financial reports, you immediately flew back to Qingyun City overnight. Am I right?"

This time, Meng Kezhong was genuinely surprised. However, after a moment, the smile returned to his face.

"Second Brother must have told you all this before he came, right?"

At this, Meng Kezhong shot a look at Meng Kexi.

"To be so thoroughly hoodwinked by a charlatan... Meng Kexi, you really do the Old Meng Family proud!"

Meng Kexi instantly shrank back, not daring to speak. He understood that even if he denied telling Xia Liang anything, it would be useless now.

Xia Liang smiled and shook his head.

"So, according to you, Meng Kexi told me everything about your past?"

Meng Kezhong nodded.

"That's one way to put it. After all, any high-level scam operation does its homework first. What's so strange about that?"

Saying this, Meng Kezhong checked his watch.

"Five minutes left."

Xia Liang smiled and shook his head again.

"Then let's talk about the future."

He held up three fingers.

"First, within one minute, something strange will appear on your shiny bald head. Second, in two minutes, your nose will start bleeding uncontrollably. Third, three minutes from now, you will take a turn around the Ghost Gate."

As soon as Xia Liang finished speaking, everyone laughed at him dismissively. Clearly, they thought his words were utter nonsense. If fortune tellers were really that accurate, how could one still be so unknown?

Meng Kezhong scoffed, "Alright, I'll wait right here and see..."

SPLAT!

Before he could finish his sentence, he felt a warm, wet sensation on his head.

Meng Kezhong instinctively reached up to touch it. "Why is it so sticky?" he muttered.

A moment later, his face darkened. On his head was a fresh dollop of bird droppings.

"Dammit, what rotten luck!" Meng Kezhong cursed under his breath and, suppressing his nausea, ran toward the mountain spring.

By now, some of the onlookers had realized what was happening. Their expressions changed as they looked at Xia Liang.

"No way... Did he actually call it?" one of them murmured.

Just then, however—

"Ouch!"

Meng Kezhong's scream echoed. Everyone's attention snapped toward the sound. They saw that Meng Kezhong had somehow tripped and fallen. His portly body, like a giant meatball, was rolling rapidly down the mountainside.

"Kezhong fell! Quick, help him!"

"Hurry up and help!"

"There are thorns down there! Be careful, go!"

The Meng Family disciples panicked. Forgetting all about the bet, they scrambled down the mountain to help.

But it was too late. Meng Kezhong had already tumbled to the bottom of the slope, his nose split open by a sharp, protruding rock on the way down.

"Kezhong, watch out!" Meng Kexi yelled, his heart pounding in his chest.

His voice boomed down the mountainside.

The slope began to level out. Meng Kezhong forcefully extended his arms, finally stopping his body from rolling any further.

Just then, his pupils contracted sharply. A razor-sharp thorn, a full two inches long, was pressed against his neck.

If not for Meng Kexi's timely shout... if he hadn't thrown his arms out... that thorn would have already pierced his throat.

"Are you alright, Uncle?"

"Quick, help him up! Someone get the car and take Uncle to the hospital!"

"Kezhong, here, let me help you up..."

The Meng Family disciples scrambled to help Meng Kezhong to his feet, brushing the dust from his clothes.

Meng Kezhong caught his reflection in the nearby lake water and almost burst into tears. His face was a wreck. A long gash ran across his nose from the sharp stone, and his entire body was caked in dirt.
