A week quickly passed. His strength increased by two points and his physical body was significantly larger than before. He was lean previously but now, muscles were clearly defined on his body. His biceps and triceps grew bigger and stronger. His chest was clearly outlined and separated from the rest of his upper body. Muscles on the back were much more visible with each tiny muscle bulged up slightly.
His thighs grew strong, and his calves were bigger. His glutes were as tight as a carved statue and could help keep his body balanced much better.
That early morning, Siderius went to a certain downstream section of the river to take a shower. Ashe was waiting on land to watch over for him and guarded his clothes.
When Siderius came up, she already stood there with a towel in her hands.
"Your towel, Master."
Siderius nodded and took it to dry himself. Ashe avoided looking at him. His well-defined muscles awakened something in her, and she didn't know was there before.
"What's wrong?" Siderius said.
"Nothing! Nothing at all, Master! I will be waiting for you on the road."
Ashe turned her back without hesitation and rushed away.
Siderius looked down at his body. He wasn't even that muscular. For six points of Strength, Siderius was only fit, not herculean. But it seemed like it was pretty impressive for Ashe.
"People of this kingdom probably aren't exposed to body building before. Humans barely survive. Witches don't need to build their physical body. Muscles like these are probably a rare thing for them.
But Everia probably isn't the case."
Bas was a muscular bastard with very well-defined structure. His kingdom focused on the power of swordsmanship, so they needed to build their body.
Siderius put on his clothes and walked outside where Ashe was waiting in her brown hunter uniform and the black panther cloak.
"Where are we going, Master?"
"To the Rocky Pit. It's time to lead them to Santa Roberto. You also need to go with me. It will be our first official base of operation."
"Base of operation?"
Through the last week, Kraus and Ashe had been helping the miners to recover and ready for the short journey.
The distance between Mucktown and Santa Roberto wasn't far. If ride on horseback, it would take two to three days to reach the monastery. However, because there were more people this time, the journey may take up to seven days or more.
Kraus had prepared quite a few of carriages to help transporting the miners and his men. There wasn't enough horse for everyone and not everyone knew how to ride a horse.
Kraus and Nadia also talked it over with their men and checked who wanted to go with them and who wanted to stay behind.
All of Kraus' men followed him to Santa Roberto.
The young and capable of the miners followed Nadia. While a few old and disabled miners would continue to stay in Mucktown and lived there.
Ashe also made use of this week to go into Mucktown and collected the remaining wealth that Germort left behind. He had quite a lot of stores and structures. Siderius ordered Ashe to collect the usable items and coins then gave it to the commoners of Mucktown.
The people of Mucktown, surprisingly, reacted very well with the death of Germort. No one mourned him and no one regretted for his death. A few loyalists of Germort were taken care of by Kraus and his men.
Their force had become a really useful pawn for Siderius.
Germort's remaining wealth contained a lot of food ration, some valuable ores and metals, and a hidden stash of magical Fountain Tears. Kraus' men discovered a storage in Mucktown owned by Germort and inside were those items.
Germort had a huge stash of salted meat inside the house. A lot of them were spoiled because of the existence amount of storing time. While the town screamed because of the lack of meat, Germort had too much that he even left them to be spoiled. A rather ironic contradiction.
Nadia also gathered as much ores as possible in the Rocky Pit to bring them to Santa Roberto. Most of them were iron, lead, and pyrite.
Kraus was tasked with categorizing the valuables and split them into carts to be transported to Santa Roberto. Siderius had ordered for his men and Nadia's men to mix into teams to do these tasks.
This would ensure that they would begin to establish connection to each other, allowing for a more harmonious cooperation in the future. After all, they were all Siderius' men in the end.
Siderius and Ashe arrived at the Rocky Pit. Nadia and Kraus had prepared everything.
The item carts were ready with two men in the front to watch over them. For the people, big stagecoaches were prepared for them.
Stagecoaches were exactly similar to carriages but were bigger and built to travel long distance. There weren't enough stagecoaches in Mucktown so Siderius had to pull some favor from Jude and asked him to deliver some stagecoaches and horse over from Scalize.
Siderius simply rent the stagecoaches and the horses, so the cost wasn't that expensive. The coins he took from Germort were more than enough to cover these expenses.
Siderius stood at the gate of the Rocky Pit, looking over the caravan. There were three stagecoaches in total, each carrying twelve people. Another five item carts, each with two drivers. A few men that knew how to ride horses became riders that would surround the caravan, making sure they got eyes everywhere at all times. There were eight riders in total not including Nadia and Kraus, each on their own individual horses.
Siderius rode Red beside Nadia and Kraus in the front. Both of them also rode individual horses.
"What's our headcount?" Siderius said.
"Fifty-six people in total. If we count Lord Snow and Lady Ashe, that'd be fifty-eight." Kraus said.
"Everyone is present. We can go at any time." Nadia said.
Siderius nodded. "Very well. We embark right now."
"Move it, people! Move it! We're going now!" Kraus shouted.
"Everyone gets on your coaches!" Nadia shouted.
