Mucktown already had people and a way of living. When Siderius arrived at the town and took control, he simply nudged here and there to improve their way of living.
Siderius was also not that stingy to show the tailors of the town on how to make better, more insulated clothes. This allowed the commoners to work even in winter, not just hiding in their house all day.
That day, after last night feast to convince the Collector of the Royal Treasurer to be on his side, Siderius got ready for another journey.
After what happened in Mucktown, he had stayed stagnant for too long. The fate of a witch hunter lay on the road, not as a lord within the high walls of a castle.
A witch hunter was the Wanderer, the Cursed, and the Eternal Will. As the Wanderer, Siderius needed to be on the road. It was his destiny and his calling.
He also needed to visit another town to find any trace of the mysterious assassin guild. He still hadn't completed his part of the deal yet.
"I also haven't had a good idea on what the third mutation for my eyes should be. Usually, for a mutation build like mine, it would be Nocturnal Ocula for first rank, Crepuscular or Cathemeral for the second rank, than the third rank would be Diurnal Ocula, a beast that operated strictly in the day, or any animal with a unique optical ability.
Diurnal Raptors can spot tiny prey from miles away. Rattlesnakes have heat vision. Goats have an extremely wide field of view.
In my past life, I chose a raptor as my third Ocula mutation, a built-in and better spyglass in existence.
Obviously, I won't be choosing an ordinary beast this time. But not many supernatural creatures have good optical abilities.
The only one that I can think of..."
Mystic Eyes, the unique optical ability that a witch can develop. It had many different variations.
Mana Detection was what Siderius had after absorbing Fluff the owl entirely. Jeffrey, the butler and the hidden culprit behind the phantom in Scalize, had a pair of Mystic Eyes also.
However, Jeffrey's situation was rather more complicated. He, himself, didn't have Mystic Eyes. But one of his puppets had them. Different from usual Living Puppets, a Schizomancer could gain control of another witch via their Nightmare Magic.
This would destroy any hope for this witch to ever advance in power but would allow the Schizomancer to gain complete control over them.
Jeffrey was fortunately able to destroy the mind of another witch and mind controlled them.
That was the true identity of the puppet that Siderius had encountered in the forest.
That Nightmare Puppet had a pair of Sinister Force. This pair of Mystic Eyes allowed the puppet to shoot out the semi-transparent force that Siderius had encountered.
Siderius learned all of this thanks to that one time he read Jeffrey's memories before killing him.
"Sinister Force is not actually suitable for me. I can do long-range battle but my specialty is melee. Sinister Force can't compliment any of mine power either.
I am going to the Royal Court with Joul. I wonder if I can use them to find out who had a good pair of Mystic Eyes..."
The more Siderius thought about it, the wider his smile became. It was a solid plan. The only problem was convincing the Royal Court to give him the list.
Persuading the entire court would be impossible. But he bet he could find someone that was willing to make such a trade. There would always be someone like that.
Siderius took a look at his status bar.

His Psychosis had gone down another 7 points the last few weeks. The conversion rate of the Psychosis had gone down significantly, similar to what happened with his first mutation.
Siderius was also able to absorb the remaining agility boost of the Lynx Anabolism and finished the three-point upgrade of the tonic.
"The Nine Rings has lost its effectiveness again. Maybe I can use Alchemical Palace to speed up the process once more.
But quick doesn't necessarily mean good."
There were many types of spirits that could quicken, slow down, or even forcefully remove psychosis. However, none of those spirits were without side effects.
A Psychosis Removal usually had two side effects. One that it would also remove the benefit that the mutation provided. Second, it would make all the psychosis flood to the witch hunter's mind in one go.
The first type of potion was only used to save a witch hunter's life in case he reached the point of Total Collapse.
The second type of potion was used for a confident witch hunter that would like to shorten his psychosis conversion and wasn't afraid of a challenge.
Alchemical Palace was similar to the second type but much more advanced. It created a battlefield for the hunter and the beast to battle each other.
"Luckily. For some reason, me in the Mind Palace still has the strength of the me in the old world. Maybe it was because my soul was mixed with Snow...
The Psychosis is lower than a hundred points. After registering and gaining the list of the Mystic Eyes. I can try using the Alchemical Palace again in Santa Roberto.
The probability of Total Collapse is... very low."
In the early morning, Siderius pulled Red out to the entrance gate. Joul and his squad of knights were already ready to be on the road.
Joul was inside of his carriage, putting his head outside the window and yawned. Last night really had really taken a toll on him, he drank quite a lot. This new lord of Mucktown really knew how to have fun.
"Are you riding, Lord Satterblade?"
Siderius nodded.
The commander of the knights scanned Siderius. He spotted the two scabbards on Siderius' waist, one was black and the other was orange red.
"You know swordsmanship, my lord?" The commander said.
Siderius nodded. "I have some experience with it."
"Why two scabbards, Lord Satterblade?" Joul said.
"Ah... It is related to my magic."
"Oh! Two scabbards and a sword for magic. That is the first time I see something like that. Can I see your magic, Lord Satterblade?"
"Certainly, Collector. I bet we will have a lot of opportunities on the road to do so. But now, we must leave."
The commander nodded. "Lord Satterblade is correct. We need to reach the Grove before dusk. After sundown, the Grove's entrance is hidden."
"Off we go then." Joul said.
