The Magnificent Son-in-law

Chapter 468: Blameless in Defeat

Iwakami Shigehiro's eyes flashed with a hint of anger, his facial muscles uncontrollably trembled twice, as if his inner rage had reached its peak.

At this moment, he suddenly felt that Xiao Feng's words, though biting, were not too hard to accept. The feeling of being ignored was the most stifling.

However, anger aside, Iwakami Shigehiro still had enough self-awareness to understand that compared to the Devil's Concentration Camp, even Uesugi Yumi was insignificant, let alone himself.

Just then, Lu Yao and Su Yuzhuo exchanged a glance at the bottom of the cave and spontaneously said, "The Belock brothers?"

"Is this a person's name?" The little girl asked curiously.

Su Yuzhuo shook his head and explained, "The Belock brothers are twins. They have the same appearance, the same voice, even the same personality and way of speaking, so they share the same name.

They're really so alike that even I can't tell who is the older brother and who is the younger one."

The little girl frowned, "Are these Belock brothers really powerful?"

"You could say that." Su Yuzhuo said, looking somewhat serious, "Xiao Feng might be able to hold his own against the Belock brothers, but with Uesugi Yumi and a large group of ninjas who are skilled at ambush, the situation is really not promising."

"Then let's find a way to go up and help," the little girl said eagerly, but she knew that the others wouldn't just watch them go up; they would certainly try to thwart them.

In fact, there are already quite a few people lying in wait, just waiting for them to emerge.

At that moment, Lin Jiaxuan suddenly said, "If you want to help, it doesn't necessarily have to be by going up."

Everyone simultaneously looked at her.

Lin Jiaxuan smiled meaningfully, "Don't we have the Human Skin Drum? It's just the right time to use it."

Everyone's eyes lit up. If the Human Skin Drum is struck, it could indeed play a role in controlling the situation.

Of course, without Xiao Feng being prepared, he would inevitably be affected as well.

But no matter how you look at it, it's better than being worn down by endless rounds of combat!

Thinking of this, although somewhat unwilling, everyone made the decision: hit the drum!

"Sorry, Xiao Feng brother!" The little girl shouted, looking up.

On the ground, Xiao Feng had not yet reacted to what the words meant when he heard the familiar sound of the drum.

"Boom!"

It was as if a bomb had exploded in their minds. Everyone, including Xiao Feng on the ground, was caught off guard and affected simultaneously.

The ninjas guarding the cave entrance stumbled, nearly falling headfirst into the cave.

"Retreat!"

Uesugi Yumi resolutely ordered, realizing that with the strange drum sound echoing, killing Xiao Feng had become a fantasy. If they continued, they might even face total annihilation!

In fact, she was really angry because shouting "retreat" wasn't the first time she had done it.

Uesugi Yumi had been proud most of her life, yet never thought she'd be so repeatedly thwarted by Xiao Feng here.

If this were to spread back home, her reputation would be pretty much ruined.

It sounds incredible, but reality is often just that harsh.

Building and maintaining a reputation often takes decades, yet it can be destroyed in an instant, with just one event.

Everyone began stumbling away from the cave entrance, those who ran slowly or had poor resistance simply fell to the ground, clutching their heads, their facial expressions incredibly pained.

Having likely experienced the torment before, Xiao Feng displayed a stronger endurance than anyone present, sturdily unzipping his bag, taking out earplugs, and putting them in. Instantly, he felt much better.

"Trying to escape?"

Xiao Feng sneered, taking big strides forward, grabbing one of the Belock brothers.

There was no option; he wanted to catch Iwakami Shigehiro and Uesugi Yumi, but they were farther away and running fast, so he settled for those closer.

"Bang!"

Xiao Feng landed a heavy punch on the back of one of the Belock brothers.

"Crack!"

The sound of bones breaking echoed.

Xiao Feng had no interest in distinguishing which one was the elder or the younger; it didn't matter at all.

"Bang! Bang!"

Two more punches landed, and the front of his opponent caved in visibly, blood spilling from his mouth, clearly unable to survive.

"Brother!" Watching his hand-and-foot brother meet a tragic death, the elder of the Belock brothers let out a torn scream.

However, the scream came from his heart, as much like the others when first hearing the drum, he wanted to shout but couldn't make a sound.

The younger brother on the ground suddenly hugged Xiao Feng's leg, looking at his brother with eyes that seemed to say: Don't worry about me, run fast!

The veins on the elder brother's forehead bulged, like earthworms, looking extremely horrifying, his whole body trembling with rage.

The next moment, he turned decisively, suppressing his heartache, and fled with all his might, with only one thought in his mind: The younger brother's sacrifice must not be in vain.

As for revenge, it's certain but not something to think about right now.

"Get off!"

Xiao Feng forcefully tried to pull his leg out but failed. Knowing not how the apparently dying younger Belock mustered such strength.

His vision gradually started to blur. Watching his brother's retreating back, the younger brother smiled faintly; but because of the painful expression and blood, the smile appeared sinister and horrifying.

"Stop it, stop it," Xiao Feng sat down on the ground, finding it tough even with earphones, let alone the two ninjas rolling at the cave mouth.

The drum sounds abruptly halted, and the little girl glanced delightedly at the drum in her hands, shedding her previous attitude of avoidance. She found the thing truly useful, extremely handy!

The little girl's mind was that simple; anything that could help brother Xiao Feng was necessarily good!

After resting for a couple of minutes, Xiao Feng removed his earplugs, intending to keep two ninjas alive, but unfortunately, they had already committed suicide without noticing, with a black line of blood dripping from their mouths.

Xiao Feng truly admired Japan's suicide culture; it baffled him.

Believe it or not, they die at will without much consideration?

In this regard, Huaxia is totally different.

An old saying goes that it's better to live miserably than to die well because as long as you live, there's hope; once life is gone, truly, everything is gone.

Just then, the sound of running approached, and seven or eight agile, burly men crossed the wasteland to stand in front of Xiao Feng.

"What's happening?" The leader glanced at Xiao Feng, seeming a bit puzzled, apparently not understanding the situation.

Xiao Feng stood up and explained the situation briefly.

Regarding the support speed, it is hard to find fault; you can't say they weren't fast enough.

But the problem was that Uesugi Yumi and her people ran faster, leaving it an unavoidable defeat.

"Brother Xiao Feng, should we continue going inside?" the little girl asked loudly.

"Of course!"

Xiao Feng replied and then instructed the newcomers, "Help send someone to keep an eye nearby; the cave entrance must remain clear."

"Understood!" The leader nodded.

His main task was to cooperate with Xiao Feng, to whom he naturally only obeyed.
