I Have 10,000 SSS Rank Villains In My System Space

Chapter 316: New System Function?

"You know that kid, Lady Merisa?" The King of Atlantis spoke casually, a faint trace of amusement in his deep voice. He had been watching her for quite some time now long enough to notice the way her gaze had remained fixed on one particular spot.

"If you want," he continued, letting out a light chuckle, "I can have him brought up here. Maybe a little talk?"

He followed her line of sight and quickly found the reason for her distraction a young man standing among the crowd below. Handsome, yes, but more than that… there was something unusual about him. Something difficult to define, yet impossible to ignore.

The king glanced back at Merisa.

As always, her face was unreadable cold, still, emotionless. A mask carved from ice. He couldn't tell what she was thinking. So, being the straightforward man he was, he simply asked.

Merisa heard his words, and it pulled her out of the tangled thoughts racing through her mind. Slowly, she turned her head to look at him. The king met her gaze with an easy smile, relaxed and confident, a demeanor that matched his massive build and regal presence.

She let out a short, quiet chuckle and shook her head.

"No," she said calmly. "Let's not do that."

Then, after a brief pause, her eyes drifted back toward the boy.

"But yes… I do know that kid."

Her voice was still cold, still distant but the king didn't mind. He knew her well enough to understand that this was simply who she was.

"Is he someone important?" he asked, his gaze returning to the boy with open curiosity.

Merisa didn't answer right away.

"Very," she finally said, her voice dropping slightly. "Very important."

A small smile barely noticeable, fleeting as a passing ripple appeared on her lips as she continued to watch Razeal in silence.

The king noticed it.

And that alone stunned him.

This monster?… smiling?

He didn't comment on it though nor draw attention to it. He merely smiled to himself, observing the scene quietly.

"Well then," he said after a moment, laughter rolling through his voice with a majestic weight,

"If he's that important to you, I suppose I'll have to treat him like a guest as well."

"I would have to thank you, then." Her smile vanished as quickly as it had appeared, her face returning to its usual calm. "That's a very kind gesture. But let him be. I don't want to interfere with anything… not for now atleast."

Her words made his surprise deepen.

Someone with strength like her thanking?Thats very rare thing for powerhouses to do And it looked genuine too.

For something so small.

"There's no need for that," the king replied, waving it off. "It's nothing."

Still, his eyes flickered briefly toward Razeal, silently making a note to himself. Whoever that boy was, She clearly cared more than she let on.

And that alone made him curious.

Truthfully, the king had been surprised when Merisa appeared in Atlantis.

Like the last time he had seen her was over thirty years ago or something.

She had left a powerful impression on him back then.

Very powerful.

She was different now. He could feel it as he glanced at her seated calmly beside him. Back then… she was a monster in the truest sense of the word.

He remembered it clearly.. her claiming she had come to Atlantis "just to look around," which was an obvious lie. In reality, she had challenged every strong being she could find. From the Seventh Sea all the way to the First, she defeated every renowned warrior in her path.. Sea Lords included.

She had even barged into his castle unannounced, declaring she wanted a fight.

Her aura at the time had been wild, violent, completely unrestrained.

And she had fought him too.

He lost.

Of course, he hadn't used his trident.. but even so, fighting a human underwater for two straight months and still being defeated…

That was impressive. Terrifyingly so.

He chuckled quietly at the memory.

Back then, she was chaos incarnate brutal, relentless, anything but gentle.

And now?

She sat quietly beside him, composed and distant, watching a single boy in silence.

That alone was shocking.. Honestly he was feeling weird about her this change.

Just eleven or twelve days ago, she had returned to the castle again, much to his surprise. He had assumed she was here for another fight. Instead, she simply said she wanted to watch the Royal Challenge.

He hadn't questioned it. He trusted her character odd as it was. And besides, this was his ocean. Nothing happened here without his permission.

So he let her stay.

Still…

As he glanced once more at Razeal, the king couldn't help but wonder..

Just who exactly was that boy…

And what kind of person could make someone like with her level of power give him so attention?

Both Merisa and the king were deep in their own thoughts.

On the other side, Razeal was lost in his as well. He could clearly feel two powerful gazes pressing into his back, and he was trying very hard to ignore them. He let out a quiet sigh, nothing more than frustration at his own bad luck.

He had already convinced Maria to stay, even though she had wanted to leave immediately. Honestly, that had been harder than anything else so far. Now there was nothing left to do but stand there, silently watching the ongoing match below the arena. He ignored the irritating stares behind him one he knew belonged to his mother, the other he guessed was the king's. Either way, he didn't turn around. He couldn't see them nor didn't want to.

Neptunia still hadn't returned.

So he waited.

Razeal stood there in silence when, after many days, Villey's voice finally rang inside his head again.

[Host, are you really just going to keep ignoring me? Come on, it's not even that big of a deal.]

Villey had been trying to talk to him for a while now, but Razeal had been ignoring it as if it didn't exist at all.

Razeal said nothing. His eyes remained fixed on the arena below.

[Host… seriously? You don't need to be like this. If you think I betrayed you, you're being petty. You can't be angry at someone who's helped you all this time someone who gave you life-changing opportunities for nothing just because I stayed silent about a few things. I still helped you. And believe it or not, I never restricted you. You've always been free to do whatever you want. If I had ever forced you, I'd understand your anger ..but I didn't.]

Razeal's expression didn't change.

"I won't get angry at someone who gives me something for nothing just because they didn't help me somewhere." he replied calmly in his head. "But you're forgetting something, Villey. You're not anybody. You're a parasite that's been living on me for years. If I die, you die too. So yeah no explanations needed."

Villey fell silent for a long time.

Finally

[Alright… I'll apologize. Forgive me. It was a mistake. Let's make things right again. It feels strange not being on good terms with you.]

"No need," Razeal replied flatly in his thoughts. He didn't care.

Another pause.

[Alright… maybe a silent apology isn't enough. How about I apologize with a gift?]

[What if I give you a new system function?]

Razeal didn't react at all.

Villey let out something close to a sigh and issued it anyway, already knowing Razeal's personality.

Ding!
