Behind Leon was the same massive red flying companion of the woman—the creature that had made him suffer so much excruciating pain and rendered him completely helpless before.
Perfect timing. I was just about to come for you anyway.
Leon was genuinely pleased it had attacked on its own initiative—this gave him the perfect opportunity to repay every debt of suffering it had inflicted.
Let's settle this.
He turned like a blinking light—impossibly fast. The creature's giant claw was descending toward him with tremendous force, though notably it was blazing with fire this time.
Trying to crush me physically? Mistake.
But Leon wasn't even fazed or concerned. Until this very moment, he hadn't been using any of the actual abilities the Holy element itself inherently provided—he'd only been utilizing the unlocked physical strength it granted access to.
Time to show what Holy energy can really do.
Leon concentrated his Holy energy specifically around his right fist, compressing it into a dense, radiant layer. Then he punched directly toward the incoming claw with his full unlocked force.
WHOOSH! IMPACT!
He still hadn't boosted his base strength further with additional Holy energy enhancement because he genuinely didn't think he had any need to against this creature.
This should be more than enough.
The clash happened with devastating results.
BOOM! CRACK!
The residual fire that had been concentrated on the creature's claw was instantly dispersed and extinguished by the sheer force of Leon's strike.
But the destruction didn't stop there.
CRACK! SNAP!
The impact jolted up creature paw like it was thunder.
One of the creature's three massive claws broke cleanly in half, the bone and cartilage shattering audibly.
This resulted in a gut-wrenching, agonized screech from the beast, released at maximum volume from its beak-like mouth, along with a thunderous shockwave rippling outward.
SCREEEEECH! BOOM!
The creature writhed violently in pain, thrashing in the air.
Meanwhile, Leon remained completely unharmed—he hadn't taken any damage whatsoever from the exchange.
My body feels so much stronger when using Holy energy fully, compared to when I rely on mana. It's not even close.
As the creature continued writhing and screeching in agony, Leon didn't stop his assault. He grabbed hold of one of its other intact claws with both hands.
GRIP!
Then he planted his right leg firmly on the ground with tremendous force—
CRASH! CRACK!
—which made the solid arena floor cave in deeply beneath the impact point, creating a crater.
Using that anchored position as leverage, Leon violently flipped the massive creature's entire body over and then slammed it brutally onto the hard, red floor of the arena, which was supposedly constructed from extremely solid material.
CRASH! BOOM!
He slammed it again and again like it was nothing more than a bag filled with cotton, treating the enormous beast like a ragdoll.
SLAM! CRASH! SLAM! CRASH!
The repeated impacts continued until the claw Leon was gripping finally went completely limp.
The creature's body was now thoroughly bloody and broken. It was still writhing weakly in pain, twitching pathetically.
Not done yet? Good. I'm not satisfied either.
But the beast wasn't fully defeated yet when he left it withering on the ground. Leon observed as its massive mouth opened wide, its eyes barely able to focus through the blood and pain, barely standing on its feet. Despite its condition, it was still attempting to fire that same devastatingly powerful concentrated fire beam from before.
Stubborn thing.
He smiled, appreciating its defiance. That just gave him more reason to make it suffer.Because I'm still not feeling content about how it tortured me before, when I was desperately trying to escape from its grasp.
Leon deliberately let the creature accumulate power for its attack. He could see it was gathering energy for what appeared to be the most powerful fire beam it had produced yet.
He smiled almost devilishly because he already had a clear plan in mind for what he was going to do the moment it fired.
With my current speed, this will be easy.
He could already visualize the creature's head exploding into pieces in his mind, playing out the sequence.
Three seconds until it fires. Two seconds. One—
Then he detected her approaching rapidly from behind—the woman warrior, moving fast by normal standards, slower than before, still appearing slow to his enhanced perception.
She's coming. Still trying to fight despite her injuries. Brave, but foolish.
Leon waited patiently, keeping most of his focus on the creature in front, which was still generating more and more power for its ultimate attack.
The air reeked of sulfur and scorched ozone, heatwaves distorting the space between them.
He could feel the heat building, the energy condensing.
The audience remained absolutely silent even now, stunned into speechlessness. Watching this unknown outsider brutally beating one of their strongest warriors and her powerful beast companion was initially entertaining when it was an equal fight.
But now? The power difference seemed impossibly wide, appearing out of nowhere.
They're scared now. Good.
Leon continued waiting for the creature, knowing with absolute certainty it would die with this next move. And he felt absolutely nothing—no guilt, no hesitation—because he himself would have died to this creature's violent attacks in the air if not for his life elemental ability.
It tried to kill me. Now I return the favor.
The concentrated beam finally erupted from the creature's mouth, making Leon's smile widen inside the brilliant golden-white light surrounding him.
FWOOOOSH!
The woman still hadn't reached his position yet—she seemed so slow compared to before in his enhanced senses. She was clearly severely hurt, struggling with each movement.
Too slow. Too late.
Leon moved in a blinking instant, positioning himself directly below the creature's head so fast that its beam had only just left its mouth. He was already in a position to finish it using his own attack's momentum.
His fist drew back, ready to punch through its skull—
But suddenly, a loud voice thundered across the arena in a single commanding word.
"KRESH'THOR!"
Leon ignored it completely and continued his strike.
Just as he was about to connect with devastating force, he suddenly detected something extremely fast approaching him from the side.
I was waiting for you!
