The Necromancer is amassing troops like crazy in the apocalypse

Chapter 1099: Gold and Silver Island (Part 4)

The entire island plunged into a strange silence, with only the echo of countless footsteps on the stone slabs remaining.

All the ships at the port hoisted the flags of The Holy Court, and the warehouses once piled high with goods were emptied, all products seized by The Holy Court.

The most shocking sight was the heaps of ashen bones on one side of the island; flames engulfed the bones, and black smoke billowed incessantly day and night, the stench of char and ash permeating the surroundings.

The cathedral originally belonging to the Spirit Awakening Sect now had the Sun Holy Emblem hanging high, becoming the prayer place of The Holy Court.

The Island Lord's Mansion had become the dwelling of Divine Spirits.

Deep within the mansion, in a wide and desolate room, a figure sat quietly in the shadows.

His presence made the surrounding air dense, and the light seemed to fearfully bend.

Suddenly, he slightly raised his head, his gaze fixed on a point in the void.

In the next instant, the light in the room twisted, and a man dressed in a Church Priest robe was dragged in by an invisible force, stumbled a step, and hurriedly knelt to the ground, pressing his forehead against the cold floor.

"Great Father God...!" The priest's voice trembled slightly with fear, "While inventorying the seized Space Rings, we found this."

With both hands raised high, he presented an item, a scepter, entirely a dark ebony hue, with a large gemstone at the top that slowly rotated as if alive, resembling a swirling sinister eye.

A weak but exceedingly foul aura seeped out from the scepter.

"According to the records, this should be a Special Item that can communicate with the Evil God, possibly originating from a Sorcerer or Necromancer." The priest's voice grew even more humble.

The Divine Spirits' gaze fell upon the scepter but remained silent.

Yet they recalled some fragmented images seen in the deep memories of Wu Heng.

Someone had tried to seize his body through external means, but failed.

"Evil God?" The Divine Spirits finally spoke, their voice calm yet indifferent and disdainful, "Does it deserve to be called a god?"

The scepter floated from the priest's hand to gently land on the desk in front.

"Leave, handle the matters of Gold and Silver Island; the rest need not concern you."

"Yes, Father God!"

As if granted a pardon, the priest deeply bowed again, and virtually crawled backward to leave the room.

The room returned to silence.

The Divine Spirits raised a hand and casually tossed the scepter into the empty space in the center of the room.

The scepter did not fall but absurdly stopped upright, and at the moment the base touched the ground, a complex circular array flickering with dark red light exploded from its center, instantly covering several meters of the floor!

Buzz!

The air emitted a crushing moan.

Above the array, space was forcibly torn apart, and a massive eye composed purely of dense bloody light suddenly emerged!

That blood eye was cold, greedy, filled with endless malice, and upon its appearance, instinctively transmitted a thought.

"Little mage, what do you need? Power? Wealth? Or... a new body?"

However, its gaze met the figure sitting below.

It only took a glance.

That arrogant blood eye, which viewed all beings as ants, instantly froze!

The blood-colored light flickered violently, dimming and brightening, as if a frightened creature, the arrogance and greed within it replaced by fear and gravity in an instant.

The Divine Spirits slowly stood, without any dazzling brilliance around them, yet an overwhelming pressure spread, causing the entire space to wail and tremble.

"Since you've come," their voice remained calm yet seemed to contain cosmic laws, "leave something behind."

Before the words were finished, the Divine Spirits seemed to transform into the purest original energy, an invisible yet immensely powerful force rose skyward, directly entwining the retreating blood-colored giant eye.

There was no earth-shattering explosion, only the most brutal, direct devouring and tearing.

The power cast by the Evil God began to dissolve and collapse like wax meeting heat before the superior existence, forcibly stripped away and absorbed!

The blood-colored giant eye twisted violently, emitting a silent scream, and finally shattered with a bang, dispersing into countless dark red light points, which were then completely consumed, leaving not a trace.

In the room, the mysterious array quickly dimmed and disappeared.

Only leaving behind that ebony scepter, which fell to the ground with a 'snap', and the eye-shaped gemstone at the top lost all its luster, covered in cracks, like a dead stone.

The Divine Spirits glanced at the wooden staff, and it crumbled away as if weathered.

Resuming their seat, they stared at the wooden door in front.
