The Primordial Record

Chapter 2025: The Realm Defiant

Three hundred thousand years had passed since the creation of the Origin Realms, and a new Primordial was about to be born. This news caused significant ripples of excitement to sweep the Origin Realms; however, in the midst of this joyous atmosphere, Telmus the Primordial of Defiant Ascension invited the other Primordials to his Origin Realm to show them a miracle.

All of this time, all the Primordials were busy preparing for battle, and an essential component of their defenses would be the realms given to them by Eos.

With the Prime Axis at the center of the ten thousand Origin Realms, the realms of the New Primordials would surround the Prime Axis, extending and deepening the foundations of the central Realm.

Telmus had named his Origin Realm the Realm Defiant, and he poured his Origin power into it, slowly shaping it into a realm that was deeply aligned with his Origin Force and Essence.

Every Primordial had quickly learned how vital these realms were to them when they noted that as they continued merging with the Realm, they began to gain an unexpected benefit… their understanding of their Origin Force began to increase exponentially.

This Realm was a massive cultivation device for the Primordials, and they had barely scratched the surface of all that the Realm could offer. Eva had theorized that if they could master their realms completely, they would not only be able to store Origin Essence but also produce it as well.

If this turned out to be true, then the New Primordials would have an advantage that no other Primordials would be able to match.

The amount of Essence a Primordial could hold depended on the layer of Origin Force they controlled.

A base-level Primordial who has not conquered the first layer of their Origin would not have more than ten units of Origin Essence inside their body. Mastering their first layer would push this number up to a hundred, the second layer would increase their limit to three hundred, the third layer would increase this limit to seven hundred, and finally, the fourth layer would increase the limits of their Essence to one thousand.

Each unit of Origin Essence was equal to a hundred drops of attributeless Primordial Essence, and the power and uses of Origin Essence could not be underestimated.

Every unit gained by a Primordial was not just the fuel needed to summon the full might of their Origin Force; it also acted as a barrier over their bodies, meaning that a first-layer Primordial would find it nearly impossible to hurt a second-layer Primordial because of the sheer strength of the barrier created by hundreds of Origin Essence surrounding them.

If their realms could store Origin Essence, this would give every New Primordial the ability to artificially enhance their strength, making it possible for a lower-layer Primordial to fight against one at a higher layer of cultivation. If the Realm began producing Essence that was uniquely suited for each Primordial, then it was as if they had gained a second body whose limits were greater than their own.

Each Origin Realm came from the fifth layer of Space, which meant that they could hold and produce more Origin Essence than even a Primordial at the peak of the fourth layer.

At this point, it was unknown if any of the New Primordial would be able to break the ceiling of the fourth layer of their Origin and reach the fifth, meaning that, at the moment, every Origin Realm was invaluable.

Telmus was at the third layer of Defiant Ascension, striving for the fourth layer with all his might, but he did not know when he might be able to reach it. Crossing from the third layer to the fourth was many times more difficult than crossing from the first to the third, and it may be possible that only a surprise enlightenment and a great deal of time would be able to break this barrier to the peak of Primordial.

No, no longer the peak, Rowan had raised the bar, and now the peak of Existence was the fifth layer and no longer the fourth.

Telmus's Realm Defiant was slowly transforming into a realm close to his Origin, and at the moment, it was filled with vast vertical mountains that pierced the skies like defiant spears, and rivers flowed upwards.

In accordance with his character, gravity in his Realm answered to courage instead of mass, and although no living being at the level of the Elythrii had risen in his Realm, the beasts and the nascent creatures arising in his Realm were born with an unbreakable will.

Even the smallest insect would fight storms rather than hide from them. It was a realm for warriors, and anyone without any courage would be crushed to paste by the very air itself, regardless of whether they were mortals or immortals.

Telmus was rather pleased with this Realm and could not wait for the day that the first of his sentient creations rose from it and took their place in the ten thousand Origin Realms.

After four hundred thousand years, no sentient being had been born inside his Realm, but something special had appeared.

It began as a small shoot, but it was peculiarly located at a spot that linked to one of the massive bridges that connected all the Origin Realm.

This small shoot should have been crushed to nothing by the massive energies emerging from the bridge, but it had a defiant nature stronger than almost any life inside this Realm, and it fought against its dissolution.

Unexpectedly, its talents were highly significant, and it began to evolve as it resisted the powers of the bridge. Instead of fighting against the forces, it began to make them part of itself, and slowly, over four hundred thousand years, this small shoot grew into a massive tree.

Its trunk was clear as diamonds, and its leaves were mirrors to all the Origin Realm. Now and then, on special leaves, the faces of different Primordials would appear.

One face was Rowan's, another was Vraegar's, then there was Staff, Telmus, Circe, Thenos, and the countless Old Ones that crossed through the bridge connecting the ten thousand Origin Realms.

The tree was not just a tree; in its act of defiance, it became a memory of the Ten Thousand Origin Realms.

Telmus had found this miracle, and so he had called all the New Primordial to witness it.
