On the walls composed of the inner walls of the cabin, there are lifelike wall carvings, appearing mysterious and profound under the illumination of the magic sphere.
"Lord, it seems to depict a story here!"
Xiao Jing, as if having discovered a secret, pointed excitedly to one of the wall carvings: "And here is the beginning of the story!"
Following the direction of her finger, Leo Ray noticed.
This was a scene depicting the life of Centaurs, showing them playing or hunting across the vast plains and forests.
And around the plains and forests, other races appeared; Leo Ray saw the distinctive Elf Tribe, Dwarf Clan, and even Fairy Clan towns, all in harmony, but without sight of the sea.
"It seems that at the very beginning, this group of Centaurs indeed lived where they originally should have been."
Broy, with his head held high, looked at the mural and said, "What made them choose to board the ship?"
"Let's continue looking down."
Leo Ray's gaze shifted and looked at the second wall carving adjacent.
In the second wall carving, what was originally a wide, open plain, had a body of water that stretched to the end of the carving, which wasn't there before.
Although the width of the carving is limited and unable to fully depict the depth of the water, from the albatross flying above, it was evident it represented the sea.
Due to the emergence of seawater, the Fairy Clan originally dwelling there had to migrate to higher plains, and the Centaurs welcomed them.
"The sea actually appeared on the plain?"
Upon seeing this, Broy involuntarily widened his eyes.
Beside him, Leo Ray wore an expression of deep thought with furrowed brows.
The situation was abundantly clear now, clearly depicting the rising sea levels turning the original land into oceans.
Moreover, it could be confirmed this group of Centaurs did not originate from the same territory as theirs, as everything on their land remained normal, without such occurrences.
Furthermore, it could be confirmed that all these events evidently took place after the Era of Blankness.
Because, in the few images before the first one, it's clear that the Centaurs awakened from endless ruins and toppled idols, all with expressions of confusion, clearly depicting them as survivors of the Era of Blankness, having forgotten everything.
As Leo Ray thought this, he looked towards the subsequent wall carvings.
Just as he thought, in the following images, as matters became increasingly severe, the activity range of Centaurs and other races, like the Fairy Clan, grew smaller.
As food on land dwindled immensely, they had no choice but to build ships and start relying on fishing.
Later on, they could only live on mountains, interacting via ships, surrounded entirely by the vast ocean.
Perhaps it took a century, perhaps a millennium, but eventually, the last land disappeared, and so, all factions, including the Centaurs, began clustering their ships.
For survival, all factions collaborated, even connecting their ships, gradually forming the awe-inspiring sight we now behold.
To fend off the increasingly fierce and powerful sea demon beasts, they joined forces to create this sea Barrier Area, moving everything here for a more settled livelihood.
"So that's the truth of why the Centaurs ended up here."
Having finished reading the mural, Broy's visage was filled with wonder as he said, "So, the creation of this city of a thousand ships wasn't by the Centaurs themselves, but by all the powers of this land?"
"Indeed, that appears to be the case; it seems this region doesn't belong to the land we know."
With rare astonishment on his aged face, Shuert nodded affirmatively.
"No wonder it resembles land here. It's a collaboration of many powers."
Xiao Jing blinked her long lashes, amazed: "The Lord said gathering more strength is crucial to overcoming future challenges, and it's certainly true!"
"Since they didn't originate from here, does that mean that invisible hand forcibly joined Barrier Areas from two different territories? That's mind-boggling."
With her starry eyes filled with shock, Jasper Richardson muttered to herself.
Listening to the different voices, Leo Ray remained in contemplative thought.
This series of murals clearly showed that only after centuries, or even millennia, did the people of this land ultimately arrive here, but from the currently desolate and broken scenery, it's obvious despite all efforts, they eventually faded into history.
Besides this, there was another aspect that deeply concerned him, the origin of the rising sea levels, something clearly not revealed in the mural contents.
"Perhaps, even they do not know the reason behind it."
Regaining his composure, Leo Ray nodded to those around him: "Now that we understand the history of this city of a thousand ships, it's time we resume our exploration; forward lies the key to leaving here."
Hearing Leo Ray's words, the surrounding powerhouses nodded in agreement, refocusing on the surrounding scenery.
It didn't take long for our group to leave this square via a ship corridor and start advancing deeper into the city of a thousand ships.
Soon, they arrived at an area resembling a residential district, where numerous skeletons had long turned to white bones, coming into view.
From their skeletal structure, it was evident that the majority were from the Centaur Clan, with some noticeably smaller Fairies club members.
These carcasses were mostly in small groups, either slumped by the cabin wall or collapsed under the staircase, their hollow eye sockets pitch-black, jawbones slightly open as if silently narrating an untold story from the past.
Upon seeing this, especially strong Wood and Flower Fairies like Crisis and Fanny, slightly furrowed their brows.
Even though they weren't their kin, seeing the bones of their kind still stirred awe within their hearts.
"Lord, according to the 'Lost Relic Effect,' it confirms they indeed are not from before the Era of Blankness."
Jasper Richardson nodded towards Leo Ray, pensively saying: "Otherwise, there wouldn't be any remains here."
"Indeed, let's keep moving."
Leo Ray bypassed a Centaur carcass, taking a deep breath slowly.
The place was filled with a corroding and salty stench, provoking an endless upheaval in one's stomach.
After traversing several similar areas, the group arrived at a vast zone.
It was a park, though the central fountain long dried up, and the surrounding flower beds were barren.
On the park benches, many skeletons sat in a row, appearing as though enjoying their last moments.
As Leo Ray's gaze shifted, scanning the surroundings, a stark, incongruous shadow suddenly came into view.
Focusing intently, it was indeed a corpse, but not a bleached skeleton—it had clearly died not long ago!
"Lord, that is?!"
The subordinates quickly realized something was amiss, revealing expressions of astonishment.
"Let's take a look."
With a turn of his hand, the gleaming Rolanddel manifested in Leo Ray's hand.
Upon nearing, Leo Ray widened his eyes further, the astonishment on his face growing more pronounced.
It was a corpse cleaved in half, its face filled with terror, blood flowing profusely, and most crucially, Leo Ray could discern clearly that the body wasn't native to this Otherworld but belonged to an Otherworldly Lord!
