Cultivating Through The Game

Chapter 180: Current Situation_2

Lu Yu had no choice but to forcibly open the sealed box. Inside one, he found a jade pendant with a notch, and inside the other, a transparent crystal stone.

"Spirit Stone?"

Seeing the crystal stone in the box, Lu Yu showed a look of surprise. The transparent crystal stone was the empty shell left after the Spiritual Qi inside a Spirit Stone was exhausted. Lu Yu had a bunch of these in his backpack, so it was hard to mistake them.

Lu Yu pried the empty shell of the Spirit Stone out, filled with doubt in his heart. How could there be a Spirit Stone in reality?

There were three possibilities. First, the Spirit Stone was brought from the Divine Valor World to reality.

The helmet was given by Su Peng, who had also mentioned before that Lu Yu's parents might have physically crossed into the Divine Valor World. If Su Peng's words were true, then it's possible for entities from the Divine Valor World to be brought to Earth.

However, no one could accomplish this feat right now. In reality, players of the Core Formation Realm were more greatly impacted than other players because they couldn't bring out their Divine Soldiers.

Without the Divine Soldiers, the combat power of the Core Formation Realm was directly cut in half.

The Divine Soldiers, closely tied to the lives of Core Formation Realm powerhouses, couldn't be brought into reality. This was also one of the recognized reasons why items from within the Divine Valor World couldn't be brought into reality.

The first possibility was just that, a possibility, which Lu Yu couldn't verify because the empty shell of the Spirit Stone didn't bear the mark of the Great Zhou Dynasty.

The second possibility was that there existed Spirit Stone veins in reality, but if there were Spirit Stone veins, it would be impossible for Earth to have no Spiritual Qi unless the Spirit Stone veins were completely sealed.

The third possibility was that the Spirit Stones were artificially manufactured. A Martial Cultivator at the Qi Sea Realm could artificially create Spirit Stones.

Lu Yu leaned more towards the third possibility, as Su Peng's family had entered the Divine Valor World three years ago, and there would certainly be Martial Cultivators at the Qi Sea Realm. Creating a Spirit Stone wouldn't be a difficult task for someone at the Qi Sea Realm.

In the Divine Valor World, however, there was no Qi Sea Realm martial artist creating Spirit Stones, as Spirit Stones were the unified currency issued by the Great Zhou Dynasty.

If the Spirit Stones crafted by a Qi Sea Realm were shaped differently from the circulating Spirit Stone currency, and were circulated only in a small area, it wouldn't be a problem.

But if they circulated over a large area, it would be considered counterfeiting currency, at minimum resulting in confiscation of all property and the manufacturer being detained in the Great Zhou Dynasty's dedicated Spirit Stone manufacturing facilities to manufacture compliant Spirit Stones at will.

At worst, it could lead to family extermination, implicating even nine generations.

Currency was the cornerstone of the Great Zhou Dynasty, not to be challenged by any individual or organization.

In reality, it was not that serious; it's possible that a Qi Sea Realm powerhouse could manufacture Spirit Stones to be used in cultivation by juniors in reality.

After all, not everyone could possess a login device. Those without one could only practice in reality, using Spirit Stones crafted from the Spiritual Qi of their elders.

Since the source of the Spirit Stones couldn't be determined, Lu Yu put the Spirit Stone aside and carefully observed the array patterns inside the sealed box. He discovered that the array patterns in the box containing the Spirit Stone were designed to draw out the Spiritual Qi from within the Spirit Stone.

The sealed box functioned as a battery case, the Spirit Stone as the battery inside, and the array patterns as the wires.

The Spiritual Qi inside the Spirit Stone was guided into the array patterns inscribed on the helmet's interior, which could then project pre-set images into Lu Yu's mind.

Lu Yu would then feel as though the helmet truly employed neural connection, allowing him to see those images in his mind.

After carefully studying the array pattern inside the helmet, Lu Yu let out a breath of relief, realizing that the person beside his pillow he imagined was merely himself scaring himself.

After the Spiritual Qi inside the Spirit Stone was exhausted, the reason why the array could still operate was that there were arrays on either side of the helmet capable of drawing Spiritual Qi from within Lu Yu himself.

When logging into the Divine Valor World, all of Lu Yu's focus would be drawn by the Jade Pendant, making it impossible for him to notice his own Spiritual Power being guided out by the array, used to activate the arrays within the helmet, forming a projection.

Actually, the invisible person Lu Yu imagined was himself. After the Spiritual Qi in the Spirit Stone was exhausted, he had always served as the battery.

If Lu Yu hadn't reached the Qi Cultivation Realm before the Spiritual Qi in the Spirit Stone was exhausted, he might have discovered earlier on that the core of the helmet was indeed that Jade Pendant.

But perhaps not, maybe he didn't even know that others' login devices were ancient artifacts.

After all, many things only became known to Lu Yu after his strength had grown.

Without strength, even information is restricted.

Having resolved his heart's worries, Lu Yu relaxed, looking at the dismantled helmet on the table. Thinking it over, he reassembled it, but did not put the core Jade Pendant back inside.

He placed the reassembled helmet on the table, tied the Jade Pendant with a red string, and branded the Golden Armor Spirit Array onto the red string to ensure the string wouldn't break from his vigorous movements.

He wore the red string around his neck, tucked the Jade Pendant into his clothes, and lay back down on the bed. The spring mattress formed a noticeable indentation, which he ignored, as long as the bed hadn't collapsed under his weight, it was fine.

After settling back into the bed, Lu Yu focused his Spiritual Power on the Jade Pendant cooling on his chest and subsequently felt a strong attraction, his mind drawn into the Jade Pendant, passing through a narrow passage into the Divine Valor World.

Upon sensing Lu Yu's reappearance, Li Qiuyang did not move. His nature was quite tranquil, not placing much importance on external matters. He wasn't exceedingly curious about the secrets of his disciple either.

The task given by the high-levels of the Divine Weapon Pavilion was merely to observe those who couldn't sense the pressure of the Heavenly Dao, with no further detailed instructions.
