"What about the girls that were experimented on?" Jane asked.

"They're kept under observation. Since we all left early for the tournament, we don't know the current situation. But I believe big sister Anna will not let them suffer." Ruby said firmly.

Silence spread in the air. The mood turned heavy. Knowing the truth made them aware of the dark undercurrents that are blowing in the empire. Such evil, tormenting and destroying the lives of innocent people was unbearable. Anger as well as sadness overwhelmed them. but they were helpless. Except being sad and angry, there was nothing that they could do right now.

"I found something here." Just then Noah called out, taking everyone's attention to him. After checking the serpent's body, he stood up and moved towards Luke with two oval stones in his hands.

"It had not fully evolved into a disaster class. It can be said to be a half-disaster class." Noah said, showing the half black, half grey mana stone of the beast, as nightmare classes had black mana stones and disaster classes had grey. And it was in between the two.

"But I don't know what this stone is." Noah said, confused, showing a glistening round and smooth dark black stone.

All of them took a good look at the stone. But their confusion was all that could be seen in their expressions. No one was sure what it was.

"This definitely has something to do with those endless night heretics." Luke said. "Let's show it to the prime minister or the general when we're out of here. They may know something about it."

Everyone else nodded at the suggestion.

"You didn't give an answer about the teleportation spell." Jane charged at Luke. she wanted an answer no matter what.

"Oh! Haha! I'm sorry, I forgot about that." Luke said scratching his head in embarrassment.

"I don't know how to use the teleportation spell. I just learnt the flight spell. Do you think I'm a genius wizard who's know a seventh circle spell?" He said with a laugh.

"I was lucky to find a teleportation ring. I can teleport to a few meters within the range of my vision by infusing mana into it."

"Really!? Can I see it?" Jane asked with sparkling eyes. Being a wizard, anything involving spells and magic would pull her interest like a magnet.

"Well…if you want to see it that much, then sure." Luke removed the ring from his finger and passed it to her. He gave it to her since they knew each other and she was a part of Adriana teams, and he trusted them.

Jane took the ring excitedly. Scanning it around like a child who had found the most interesting toy.

She wore the ring in her finger and channeled mana into it. But no matter how much mana she fed, there was no reaction at all.

"Why is it not working?" She asked with a disappointed look.

"I don't know. It works fine when I use it." Luke shrugged his shoulders, feigning ignorance. He knew that the reason it was not working with Jane's mana was because she was not a dragon.

The ring was made specifically to react to dragon mana. Since he had dragon blood he could use it, but not others. And he didn't want to tell them about him being awakened as a dragon.

With a disappointed mood, she passed the ring back to Luke. She got quite excited thinking she's get to experience a seventh circle spell and get some insight for future references. But all her hopes got crushed.

"It's not working because, maybe the ring doesn't like snobby girls." Shane said nonchalantly as if it was obvious.

All of them laughed out loud. lifting the heavy mood that was there from time.

"What!? What do you mean to say, you wuss! How the hell am I snobby? You're snobby. You're a pimp! A nincompoop!" Jane was furious, she charged at Shane, bombarding him with insults and curses.

Hearing those curses and insults thrown at him. his brows twitched in annoyance and fury. Both of them started fighting as the others chuckled at the side. Finally, Ruby and Adriana had to intervene and stop them.

The two of them stood with arm folded over their chests. Pouting and not sparing each other a singer glance.

"Since this is a competition, and I've defeated the serpent. I hope you don't mind us taking the mana stone." Luke said to Adriana.

"No problem there. We were all saved thanks to you and Ruby. We're not shameless enough to ask a part of that." Adriana said. "I didn't say this earlier, but Thank you for saving us." Adrina bowed her head to Luke as she thanked him.

"So you finally agree that I did save you. I guess you forgive me for that then." Luke said with a smile.

Adriana's face immediately went red. She moved her gaze away from Luke, unable to look at him again.

"I tell you man. there is definitely something going on between these too." Shane whispered to Noah. Standing to his side Ruby also heard Shane as both her and Noah chuckled. They knew it already. But only Shane was dense enough to only doubt and still not getting the picture.

"What about the lilies? Should we divide it between the two of our teams?" Jane proposed.

"Sure. We can do that. What do you say guys?" Luke asked looking at Noah and the others.

"No problem."

"I agree."

Shane looked at Jane and scoffed, turning his head away immediately. Neither accepting nor denying it.

"This bastard…" Jane gritted her teeth in anger while the others just laughed at the two of them.

Some distance away from the pond. The two young men that Noah and his part met, stopped on their track abruptly.

"What's the matter leader?" one of them asked, confused.

"Rom and Neil have died." He said looking at a round watch like object in his wrist where two long green lines were flickering, where earlier there used to be four.

"What!? But…how?"

"I don't know. But their life lines have disappeared." He said showing the watch to the other one.

"We should hurry then. I'll kill that fucker who's done this." the other one said in a furious tone, clenching his fist tight.

"No! we have a mission to complete. Whoever has done this, is no ordinary person. he's definitely someone strong enough to defeat the serpent. Because without defeating it, reaching them is impossible."

"What should we do then."

"Let's move back slowly. We need find the truth without revealing ourselves. Also, we have to retrieve the evolution stone at all cost."
