A huge pillar of light erupted over the circular teleportation platform of Frostbane city. When the pillar of light died down, five figures could be seen standing on it. Anna, Layla, Bren and Fred were accompanied by an important figure of the Duchy. "What's the situation now captain Grim?" Anna asked.

"They are very stable now. They've been eating and training well. They have learned to control their forms even more. They can now turn into their human and beast forms at will." Grim said excitedly.

Just when they were near the headquarters, blaring sounds of the mana sirens could be heard coming from the direction of the headquarters.

"What's that sound!?" Anna asked in a loud voice, her brows creased with worry.

"T-That's the alarms. Some…someone has infiltrated the headquarters." Grim said nervously.

"Shit! Uncle Drake." Anna looked towards Drake as he nodded and immediately both of them vanished from the spot.

The rest of them started running towards the headquarters. Layla, Bren and Fred glided along the ground using mana.

When the three of them reached the circular gate, where the girls were kept, they saw Anna and Drake coming out of the room. Both of them had a grave expression on their faces. Anna was fuming with anger. Her fists were clenched tight.

Just then Grim along with his enforcers arrived. Their faces went pale when they saw two headless guards on the floor and the broken door. Seeing Anna's fuming face, he realized that the girls were either dead or probably missing.

"Why the hell did you have to bring all those enforcers, compromising the security of the headquarters!?" Anna roared at Grim, her eyes red with fury.

"I-I'm sorry lady A-Anna. I didn't know t-this would happen." He was scared shitless. He immediately bowed and apologized for his blunder.

"Tch!" Anna clicked her tongue. She didn't even want to argue right now. she was too angry to think anything right now.

"Calm down lady Anna. We have to find the girls first, or else it would be too late." Drake said solemnly. Anna nodded at his words and calmed her anger.

"Is there someone with tracking abilities here? We need to find the girls fast." Drake asked looking towards the enforcers.

Grim's face brightened when he heard that the girls were not dead, but maybe abducted. This was his chance to correct his mistake.

"There is lord Drake!" He spoke up excitedly. "Liam! Come here."

A young man with crimson hair, brown eyes and an oval face, walked out from the back line. He saluted while facing Anna and Danver as he stood in front of them.

"He is a summoner and has contracted with a tracking spirit beast. He'll be able to track the girls lord Drake." Grim said.

"Will you be able to?" Anna asked Liam with hopeful eyes.

"I'll try my best lady Anna!" Liam said, patting his chest with his fist in salute.

"Go on then." Drake said.

Liam nodded and started waving his hands as mana started weaving around his hands like a thread. A blue runic circle appeared on the floor. bright light emitted from it and a translucent bluish dog appeared from within the circle.

"Woof! Woof!" the spirit dog jumped in excitement upon seeing Liam, wagging its tail and started licking him.

"Alright Barny! Calm down." Liam petted Barny, rubbing his neck and calmed him down, stopping him from licking him all around.

"You have to find five women who are taken by a few evil men. Can you do this Barny?"

"Woof! Woof!" Barky barked loud, wagging him tail fiercely.

"Good boy! Take their scent from the room and track them." Liam said as Barny immediately rushed inside.

Anna's eyes sparkled. Her anger gone completely seeing Barny. He was so cute that she wanted to jump at him and pet him immediately. But considering the situation, she controlled herself. She was also a bit surprised seeing Liam being loved by his spirit beast so much.

The kind of spirit beast one gets contracted with reveals the personality of the person. Seeing Barny love Liam. She could guess that he was a very kind and caring person.

Just then Barny rushed out of the room and started running through the corridor, moving towards the exit.

"He's got the scent." Liam said upon seeing Barny rush out. All of them then started following Barny.
