Longevity Martial Arts: Grinding Experience in the Chaotic World

Chapter 363 Immortal Artifact Fragment_2

"These are... the Yin Soldiers of the Demon Emperor!" Wu Dewang exclaimed in shock.

Gu Sheng also realized the gravity of the situation. Gripping the Mystical Sky Sword tightly, he scanned his surroundings warily. "These Yin Soldiers are likely the guardians of the Yin Tomb. We must handle this cautiously."

The Yin Soldiers did not speak but silently encircled them. Their movements were precise and uniform, as if they had undergone rigorous training. Back to back, Gu Sheng and Wu Dewang faced the growing swarm of Yin Soldiers without a trace of fear.

"Haha! Let's make today a massacre!" Wu Dewang laughed heartily, charging into the horde of Yin Soldiers and engaging them in combat. Gu Sheng followed closely, brandishing the Mystical Sky Sword and battling the enemies with him.

Both were cultivators of exceptional skill, carving through the ranks of the Yin Soldiers as if no one could stop them. However, the Yin Soldiers were numerous, emerging endlessly from the Black Pond, as if inexhaustible. Though Gu Sheng and Wu Dewang fought valiantly, they began to feel their strength waning.

"This isn't going to work!" Gu Sheng shouted between parries. "We must figure out how to locate and destroy the entrance to the Yin Tomb if we're to stop these soldiers for good!"

"You're absolutely right!" Wu Dewang nodded in agreement. "Cover me while I try to decipher the entrance!"

With that, he darted to the side and began chanting spells, attempting to identify the Yin Tomb's weaknesses. Meanwhile, Gu Sheng fended off the unrelenting waves of Yin Soldiers, wielding the Mystical Sky Sword to buy Wu Dewang the time he needed.

Minute by minute, time slipped away. Gu Sheng was drenched in sweat, his breath labored, while Wu Dewang furrowed his brows, his expression grave as he cast his spells.

Suddenly, a gleam of understanding flashed in Wu Dewang's eyes. "I've found it! Follow me!" Without another word, he darted further into the volcano's depths, and Gu Sheng quickly followed after him.

The two of them ventured deep into the volcano, navigating a narrow tunnel before entering a vast subterranean chamber. The air here was thick with an eerie, malevolent aura and the stench of death.

"Look! That must be the entrance to the Yin Tomb!" Wu Dewang pointed to a faintly glowing green opening ahead. "Let's go!"

Gu Sheng nodded and followed him into the entrance. The moment they stepped inside, an icy, bone-chilling air enveloped them, as if they had entered a world of unrelenting cold, darkness, and deathly silence.

They advanced cautiously, encountering a series of bizarre, fearsome creatures and traps along the way. Yet, through their combined effort and skill, they overcame each obstacle in their path.

After enduring countless trials, they finally reached the depths of the Yin Tomb, where an ancient and mysterious altar stood. Upon the altar lay a tattered old book and a dagger glinting with a frosty gleam.

"Is this the treasure left behind by the Demon Emperor?" Gu Sheng asked, puzzled.

Wu Dewang didn't answer. Instead, he stepped forward cautiously and opened the tattered book. Inside were cryptic writings and intricate diagrams.

"This is... the Demon Emperor's Cultivation Technique!" Wu Dewang exclaimed excitedly. "We've struck it rich!"

At that moment, an unexpected turn of events unfolded.

"Whoosh, whoosh—"

A fierce, icy wind howled as water splashed violently in the cold pond. Teams of Yin Soldiers emerged from the water, clad in iron armor with expressionless faces, their weapons emitting a ghostly, chilling light.

"Damn it, are these Yin Soldiers truly endless?" Wu Dewang cursed, holding the Treasure Bowl in his hands. Each wave of black light it emitted swallowed a handful of Yin Soldiers.

Standing beside him, Gu Sheng activated his Cultivation Technique. The golden waves within his Wheel of Life surged, and his Ancient Sacred Body radiated a dazzling golden light, making him appear like a golden War God. Swinging the Mystical Sky Sword, he unleashed Sword Qi, cutting down the advancing Yin Soldiers one by one.

"These Yin Soldiers seem to be controlled by Dao Patterns," Wu Dewang remarked sharply, noticing intricate markings etched into each soldier's form.

"Dao Patterns?" Gu Sheng furrowed his brows. "Could this be someone's deliberate trap to target us?"

"Hmph, whoever dared to lay this scheme against me will pay dearly!" Wu Dewang growled with fury.

At that moment, a young man suddenly appeared. Wearing the attire of the Shaking Light Sacred Land, his face bore a smug grin. "Haha, never thought I'd come across a Dao-Pattern Wooden Plaque here. The heavens are truly favoring me!"

Wu Dewang chuckled as he spotted the young man. "Well, well, isn't this a disciple of the Shaking Light Sacred Land? What's your Holy Land's business here?"

The young man hesitated, caught off guard by Wu Dewang's question. "I... I was just passing by..."

"Passing by? Then how do you explain the wooden plaque in your hand?" Wu Dewang sneered, stepping forward in an instant and snatching the wooden plaque from the young man.

The young man turned pale and lunged to retrieve the plaque, but Wu Dewang struck him with a palm, sending him flying.

"Hmph, pretending to be a disciple of the Shaking Light Sacred Land? Clearly, you don't know who you're messing with!" Wu Dewang scoffed coldly.

Just then, a dozen demon generals burst forth from the cold pond, towering figures with grotesque features, brandishing an array of weapons as they advanced on the group.

"This isn't good. They're here to reclaim the Dao-Pattern Wooden Plaque!" Gu Sheng cried in alarm.

Wu Dewang chuckled darkly. "Perfect timing. Let me loosen up these muscles!"

With that, he activated his Treasure Bowl and charged toward the demon generals. Not to be outdone, Gu Sheng swung the Mystical Sky Sword, meeting the enemy head-on.

The battle was fierce beyond imagination. Water surged violently as Sword Qi tore through the air beside the cold pond.

Despite their unparalleled valor, the demon generals' numbers and strength pushed Wu Dewang and Gu Sheng to their limits. Victory seemed an uphill struggle.

The young man took advantage of the chaos to attempt an escape but was intercepted by a demon general and torn in half!

Blood sprayed, staining the cold pond crimson.

"Ahhh—" The young man's agonized screams echoed before falling utterly silent.

His spilled blood appeared to activate some kind of array. The entire cold pond began to heave and quiver violently!

"This is bad! It's a kill array! We have to leave now!" Wu Dewang's face turned pale, and he grabbed Gu Sheng, dragging him toward an escape route.

But it was already too late. More Yin Soldiers and demon generals surged forth, encircling them once more.

"Hahaha! You two whelps will remain here as my funerary offerings!" a chilling, malevolent voice boomed from above.

Soon after, an old man with a sinister, grotesque face emerged from the darkness, shrouded in a black robe. He was the mastermind behind the Yin Soldiers and demon generals!

"Old monster, you've finally shown yourself!" Wu Dewang snarled. "This is the day you meet your doom!"

With that, he activated the Treasure Bowl and launched an attack on the old man. Gu Sheng joined in, slashing at the elder with the Mystical Sky Sword. The three clashed in a ferocious battle.

Their fight shook the cold pond to its core, as tides overturned and the heavens seemed ready to collapse.

The Yin Soldiers and demon generals fell one after another under their relentless power, yet the old man remained unaffected. Sneering, he wielded his weapon and fought on against the pair.

The battle raged on for three days and three nights. At last, as the final strand of black mist dissipated into the air, the old man collapsed. Wu Dewang and Gu Sheng stood at last, exhausted, drenched in sweat.

They exchanged a knowing smile, understanding that their perilous adventure had come to an end. The journey had been harrowing, but the rewards were vast. Not only had they resolved the Yin Soldiers issue, but they also secured the Dao-Pattern Wooden Plaque. What a satisfying triumph!

However, the commotion drew the attention of other cultivators. Five powerful figures began to descend.

"Boom, boom, boom—"

As the five prominent figures arrived, the entire Yin Tomb seemed to tremble. Blood-red light erupted from the cold pond, monsters roared, and an aura of slaughter permeated the air.

Wu Dewang scowled as he looked at the five figures before them, inwardly cursing. These individuals clearly intended to use him and Gu Sheng to probe the depths of the Yin Tomb. Now, with the tomb's deadly mechanisms fully triggered, they were forced to dive back into the cold pond.

"Esteemed seniors, the cold pond is fraught with danger. Shouldn't we discuss this further?" Wu Dewang asked cautiously.

"Silence! Get in there!" one of the figures commanded coldly, their eyes fixed intently on the cold pond, clearly eager to claim the treasures within.

With no other choice, Wu Dewang sighed and leaped back into the cold pond. Gu Sheng seized the opportunity to put some distance between himself and the five figures. He knew his strength was insufficient to oppose them at this time. His priority now was survival.
