The Ultimate Versatile Soldier King

Chapter 451: The First Blood Drinking

The little wolf saw him agree and was almost excited enough to jump up. This was his first time facing off against a superpower user, and he would give it his all. He would absolutely not let everyone down.

Under the moonlight, the midnight Liuhai should have originally been tranquil. Tonight, however, it was bustling due to a terrorist attack, with voices of citizens discussing the incident echoing everywhere.

Although the government has explained on the radio that it was just an accident, and they have captured the criminals, hoping everyone would not panic excessively, this reassurance failed to have much effect.

There were as many as eighty thousand people on-site at the time, even though the night was dark and details were unclear, many people witnessed the events firsthand. Stories spread rapidly, causing widespread knowledge and nearly every family had relatives or friends injured in the incident, making panic inevitable.

Luo Chao had no interest in worrying about this. Using spiritual sense to scan the large dock before him, he sighed in relief; Li Er's coordinates were not wrong.

"Right here."

This sentence made everyone in squad eight clench a fist nervously, their energies poised, ready to be unleashed.

They knew that the battle was about to begin.

"I'll go in first to scout the situation, you follow shortly." Luo Chao licked his somewhat chapped lips and pulled out a large number of beast skin talisman papers from his arms, "Carry some on your person, they can block a few hits in critical moments."

Nobody spoke; everyone silently picked a few sheets. Despite not knowing why Luo Chao had such confidence in these items, they could at least be sure he wouldn't deceive them.

Taking a deep breath, Luo Chao whispered, "I'm going in. I'll issue commands in your minds at the right time, don't panic."

With that said, he crouched close to the dock wall, timing it right, and jumped in through a window.

The little wolf and others watched as his figure disappeared, exchanging perplexed looks. Nangong Hanhan's mouth twitched, "What does he mean by issuing commands in our minds? It sounds so strange!"

No one responded; only Wu Zhongli took a satisfying drag from his cigarette, laying back on the ground, "Why ask so much? Whatever he says goes."

"Hmph~~" Nangong Hanhan snorted angrily twice and stopped talking, lying down with Liu Qingqing to observe the situation inside.

......

"Thud." Luo Chao's footsteps landed with a barely audible sound. Scanning around, he saw that there were black-clad individuals occasionally carrying guns walking around. Quickly, he rolled forward and hid behind a wall.

Before coming in, he had a pretty good grasp of the situation inside. These armed individuals were just regular people. Though numerous, they posed little threat to him. All the ninjas were gathered in a secret room at the innermost part.

As someone passed in front of Luo Chao, he silently appeared behind him, grasping the throat with a hand. With a squeeze, he crushed the man's throat and dragged the body away to hide in a dimly lit spot not illuminated by lights.

He had to deal with all of them without alerting the ninjas inside. It would indeed be faster for squad eight to act simultaneously, but it risked exposure. Better to handle it solo for a greater chance of success.

He pulled off the assault rifle from the person he killed, carefully removed the magazine, and unhooked the bullets one by one.

"Whoosh~~" With a flick of his fingers, the bullet accurately hit the furthest solo patrolling individual's brow.

His body fell, "Thud." Emitting a dull sound, this alert prompted everyone, guns aiming in that direction.

This was exactly the outcome Luo Chao desired. The person he chose was no mistake; the aim was to make everyone's back turn to him, allowing him to headshot them without worry.

"Whoosh~Whoosh~Whoosh~"

Three more bullets shot in succession, each hitting the back of three people's heads flawlessly, causing them to collapse.

Panic slowly settled into the minds of these black-clad people. Their companions fell one after another, yet they had no idea who was responsible. This was an extremely unsettling feeling.

Yet, they didn't fire blindly. Their solid military training made them quietly seek out the perpetrator, intent on taking down this damned butcher.

Luo Chao adjusted his breathing; now one-quarter of the twenty people had been dealt with. But it wouldn't be so easy to rely on bullets to pinpoint the remaining targets, as they all had found concealment and hid away, with no visible targets to shoot.

He took off the Green Forest Sword from his back, slowly unwrapping the layers of brocade wrapped around it, tossing them aside. Throughout the process, Luo Chao's expression remained indifferent.

With the Three-foot Cyan Blade in hand, he gently stroked the verdant blade, quietly speaking to himself in his heart, "This is your first blood, and against these despised cruel Japanese, you must be yearning for it too!"

His body slowly retreated, disappearing into the shadows.

...

The sword tip slowly drew out from the last person's chest as that person gently knelt onto the ground, a stream of bright red blood flowing from the corner of his mouth, even in death never able to comprehend that their entire twenty-man mercenary squad, was resolved effortlessly, with not a single shot fired.

If he could realize that the one who took their lives was Dark Night, the captain of the Dark Assassination Squad who once created legends in the mercenary realm, then he would die with his eyes closed.

Luo Chao was the uncrowned king of the mercenary battlefield. Very few people had seen his true face, nor did anyone know he was Huaxia's special forces soldier king. The only universally known aspects were his formidable strength and the dazzling battle achievements.

Poppy, this woman, only learned everything through a coincidental clash with Luo Chao.

Having assassinated fifteen individuals at a high frequency, Luo Chao didn't feel fatigued. He had experienced this many times on the South African battlefield; the only difference was that he—was now well beyond his former self, completing all this in merely three minutes.

Yet he didn't relax in the slightest, as the true battle had yet to begin.

Staring at the tightly closed secret room, he was well aware that the strongest opponents were still inside, marking a tough contest. As for these people, Luo Chao glanced at the corpses strewn across the ground.

They were nothing but cannon fodder.

Using spiritual sense communication, he signaled to the teammates still waiting outside, "You may come in now."

Five seconds later, the five members of the little wolf squeezed in from the window he had entered through earlier, coming to Luo Chao's side and giving him a thumbs up.

Luo Chao smiled indifferently. Nangong Hanhan ultimately couldn't resist his curiosity and approached to ask, "How did you do it? It feels like you're talking directly in my mind."

"I'll tell you later, focus on saving people now." Luo Chao didn't answer, beginning preparations for a strong attack.

"Clap, clap, clap."

The sudden applause startled everyone in squad eight, making them hastily scan around, full of vigilance.
