My Pretty Campus Queen

Chapter 543: Finally Fell Into the Trap

"Small, small, small..." With only a few seconds left before the results were announced, everyone, after a round of losing, had essentially put all their remaining money in.

"Damn, big! Oh my God, it's actually big." Everyone held their heads and said in unison.

After speaking, they silently went to the front desk to exchange their bets. Li Jun shook his head, continued to exchange his remaining two thousand yuan for bets, but within half an hour, he lost it all again.

At this point, feeling somewhat dejected, he contemplated leaving. This was also the beginning of Li Jun's plan; the long hour of acting was finally over. Honestly, he hated this kind of gambling. If it weren't for the mission, he would have left immediately.

However, in order to make it look real, he had to endure.

So, he deliberately prepared to leave the casino in low spirits. Suddenly, the boss's voice came from behind, saying, "Young man, why leave after just a few rounds?"

"Ah, no... no money, lost it all." Li Jun said with a bitter smile.

"Oh? That's nothing. I have money here, I'll lend it to you. You can return it to me after you win later. It's no big deal. Gambling is easy to recover from. The fact is, you didn't have enough capital. I'll lend you twenty thousand, double your bet, place it all on one, you definitely won't lose." The boss coaxed.

"Ah? Really? Then... lend me twenty thousand." Li Jun took a deep breath, pretending to muster up a lot of courage, and walked towards the boss's counter.

"Hmm, no problem, rest assured, you'll get everything back with interest soon. Trust me on this one, bet big." The boss advised again.

"Big, alright."

Li Jun truly believed this round would be a win. If Li Jun were the boss, he certainly wouldn't say it's a guaranteed loss; losing right after borrowing money, who would want to keep gambling?

So, Li Jun put two thousand yuan on big, and unexpectedly, he won.

So, with confidence brimming, Li Jun bet five thousand on small, but lost. Now he was down three thousand. To win back both capital and interest, he had to double down.

So, Li Jun placed six thousand on big, and strangely enough, it came up small.

"Damn, what rotten luck! Bet big and it goes small, bet small and it goes big, isn't this just messing with me?"

Li Jun really started to doubt his own luck; or was someone deliberately manipulating things, were these gamblers all shills?

There were a few other newcomers like him, but they had better self-control, some left, and others were still betting slowly, a few hundred at a time.

With only a thousand yuan left, Li Jun hesitated for a moment, then tossed it all on the big position, breathlessly and anxiously leaning in to watch, muttering to himself, "God, please bless me, I've got to turn this around or it's over."

Just as he finished speaking, he heard "small," and Li Jun almost collapsed to the ground. Damn, what bad luck, losing three times in a row, now he's lost even his pants. What to do?

Li Jun thought for a moment, and rushed directly to the boss's counter, saying, "Boss, lend me another twenty thousand, I'll pay you back after I win later."

At this moment, the boss, originally smiling, suddenly stiffened his face, as if turning into a different person.

He sneered coldly, "You've borrowed my money without paying it back, now you want more? You think I'm stupid, if you can't even repay this twenty thousand, how will you repay more?"

"I... I believe I can definitely win it back, please lend it to me." Li Jun pleaded.

"Damn, that's hilarious, why should I lend it to you, do you have anything to collateralize? What if you really can't, won't I just be throwing away tens of thousands? Are you out of your mind?"

The boss remained indifferent, then gestured to several bouncers around the casino, and they surrounded him, "Kid, tell me when and how you'll repay the money?"

"You... what are you doing, don't mess around, I'm telling you, hitting people is illegal." Li Jun was obviously tense seeing five or six burly men come over, whether this was acting or reality, he was extremely nervous.

He was just an ordinary soldier, three-to-one he could handle, but seven or eight big guys, that was a problem. And he definitely couldn't use what he'd learned in the military here, the professionals would see through it at a glance.

"I... I don't have money."

Li Jun showed fear, and he really was a bit scared. If these people were completely ruthless, if they beat him to a pulp, he'd end up injured and scratched, and the mission wouldn't even be completed before it came to a halt.

"Hmph, no money? Yet you borrow money with empty hands?"

The casino boss found it amusing, "You know you have no money and still borrow, have you been planning to renege from the start? Come on, beat him up, and then we'll talk."

The casino boss finished speaking, and seven or eight big guys rushed over, aiming to hit Li Jun in the face.

But, after all, Li Jun was a soldier, even if he couldn't use his military-learned skills to fight back, he could use street-fighting techniques, just like a thug fight.

Two men threw punches, but Li Jun quickly dodged by rolling backward. The other five paused, not expecting this guy to be a bit tricky, just consistently evading without fighting back.

"Damn, still trying to dodge, come on, beat him senseless so he won't dare borrow money again without repayment."

The boss was clearly a bit angry. If he just obediently took a beating, they could have calmly discussed other matters. But by resisting, didn't he know the consequence of resistance would be severe?

The seven bouncers, originally unimpressed, thinking this man didn't look very big or strong, how capable could he be? Seven against one should be easy.

However, seeing him roll to escape their attack made them alert. The seven surrounded him closely.

But Li Jun wasn't easy to deal with. When they enclosed him, he quickly swept like the wind through falling leaves, executing two consecutive back flips to escape the encirclement.

Once three of the big men noticed, they hastily rushed towards him. Li Jun swiftly dodged and landed an elbow strike on the back of one of the men. The pain nearly knocked him out; a soldier's strength is indeed powerful.

Having just made a move, Li Jun was shocked to realize he almost exposed himself. Ordinary people wouldn't be so fierce, so when the others rushed over, he deliberately took a hit, pretending he was overpowered by their numbers, and was sent flying.

But although Li Jun was knocked down, it didn't mean he conceded defeat. As a desperado, his key trait was never to forgo survival in any situation.

The big guy who was elbowed by Li Jun got furious and, while Li Jun was down, rushed over to kick him. Li Jun suddenly sensed something was wrong, realizing he was surrounded.

In this situation, no matter how strong he was, he couldn't withstand simultaneous attacks from seven people.
