The Tathāgata Must Fail

Chapter 434: Still Needs Polishing

Ao Luan stood by the window, her long hair glowing in the morning sun.

She hadn't slept all night, and finally took a deep breath at dawn.

"Alright."

Ao Luan closed the notebook in her hand, heavier than a dictionary.

For today's date, she had made dozens of plans and prepared for one hundred and one contingencies, all memorized by heart.

Ao Luan strode out of the room.

"Second Great King."

At the door, the Long Armed Ape Monkey stood: "Are you going to see the Great King?"

Ao Luan's face blushed slightly: "Is there a problem?"

"No."

The Long Armed Ape Monkey shook his head and said, "The demons of Huaguo Mountain are all ready for battle, whatever you need, Second Great King, just let us know."

He had arranged for the demons of Huaguo Mountain to go to all the Floating Cities, able to provide any assistance to Ao Luan.

Ao Luan was somewhat touched: "Thank you."

"No need."

The Long Armed Ape Monkey smiled slightly and bowed as he left.

For Ao Luan and Sun Wukong, the demons had prepared everything.

Ao Luan arrived at the agreed-upon coast, where Sun Wukong was already standing.

"Brother."

Ao Luan walked over confidently.

Sun Wukong turned around, appraising her for a while.

Ao Luan was wearing new clothes today, dressed in a moon-white palace garment, which perfectly accentuated her figure.

Sun Wukong smiled slightly: "I remember you can turn into a fish, right?"

"Ah?"

Ao Luan was a bit stunned.

"Turn into a fish."

Sun Wukong said, "Follow me."

With a swish of his waist, he turned into a perch and dived into the sea.

Ao Luan stared blankly at the scene.

"The one hundred and second contingency."

She felt like crying, but still transformed into a big fish and followed him.

"Brother, do you want to go to Dragon Palace City?"

Ao Luan still harbored a sliver of hope that 'Sun Wukong wasn't that wooden-headed'.

"No."

But Sun Wukong dashed her hopes.

"I just wanted to bring you here."

He swam towards a group of perch in front.

Ao Luan, on the verge of tears, followed.

Countless perch swam over, swirling around them.

This feeling of merging with nature brought some joy to Sun Wukong.

Ao Luan sulkily accompanied him.

The two swam with the school of fish for a while.

"Let's speed up."

Sun Wukong suddenly turned into a swordfish, speeding past the school of fish.

Ao Luan could only hasten her pace to follow him.

The two swiftly left Huaguo Mountain.

"Can you still turn into a seagull?"

Sun Wukong suddenly asked.

"Seagull?"

Ao Luan was startled, why switch from fish to seagull now?

"Let's go!"

The next moment, the swordfish Sun Wukong burst from the sea.

Ao Luan looked up, watching the soaring swordfish transform into a seagull in midair and fly away.

"Brother."

Ao Luan, unable to turn into a seagull, could only speed up in the water and follow.

A bird and a fish raced over the ocean.

The Immortals hiding in the distance who saw this were astounded.

"What, what's this?"

Water Virtue Star Monarch was astonished: "A speed competition?"

"Truly a worthy younger brother, even making dates so creatively."

Immortal Zhen Yuan was greatly impressed.

From afar, Sun Wukong noticed that Ao Luan couldn't turn into a seagull.

He suddenly circled down, looping around the big fish.

A beam of light enveloped Ao Luan.

Her body shook, and she too transformed into a seagull, soaring out of the water.

"This, this..."

Ao Luan gazed with some curiosity at her own reflection on the sea surface.

"Let's go!"

The voice of Sun Wukong came from high above.

Ao Luan raised her head, seeing him spread his wings and soar, his wings shimmering in the sunlight.

Ao Luan hurried to catch up.

The sunlight sprayed on the wings, the wind cheered around her, giving Ao Luan a strange feeling.

"Next, you'll become an eagle."

The voice of Sun Wukong sounded.

Ao Luan felt that she was about to transform into an eagle.

Indeed, she turned into an eagle.

Two eagles sped across the sky.

"Keep up with me, don't fall behind."

Sun Wukong said.

Ao Luan watched his glittering eyes and couldn't help nodding: "Okay."

The two flew toward the distance.

They kept flying forward, over the sea, over towns, and saw the grasslands.

"We are going down."

Sun Wukong led Ao Luan in a dive to the grassland, transforming into a tiger and leopard, running swiftly.

On the vast grassland, they ran rapidly.

Ao Luan didn't understand what Sun Wukong intended to do, but whether swimming in the sea, soaring in the sky, or running on the ground, she felt a wave of joy.

It was the joy of freedom.

The body of Immortal hardly knew fatigue, Ao Luan followed Sun Wukong, feeling that there wasn't a place in heaven or earth they couldn't go.

Without much conversation or fancy declarations of love, Ao Luan felt inexplicably happy in her heart.

They continuously changed their forms and ran, as if in the vast world, only the two of them existed.

They ran until the moon was high in the sky, then Sun Wukong found a cliff and stopped.

Ao Luan, who had been turned into an owl, was also transformed back into her original form by him.

"Are you happy?"

Sun Wukong asked Ao Luan.

"Yes."

Though different from what she imagined, Ao Luan still nodded: "I'm very happy."

"That's good."

Sun Wukong smiled and climbed up the cliff: "This is where I achieved Enlightenment."

Ao Luan was startled.

Sun Wukong looked at the familiar night scene before him and said, "Master passed on his teachings to me here."

This was the cliff where he had once fainted.

Ao Luan immediately became curious: "Why did brother bring me here?"

"This is a place I like."

Sun Wukong answered: "I want to share the things I like with the people I like."

In that moment, Ao Luan's cheeks exploded like fireballs.

"Brother just, just now..."

Ao Luan stammered in disbelief.

"I want to share the things I like with the people I like."

Sun Wukong turned around, looking at Ao Luan's flushed face.

Ao Luan's face was so red, her body tingling, she almost wished she could pull down the moon with a sword so no one could see her anymore.

However, unfortunately, the moonlight today was unexpectedly bright.

Sun Wukong watched her, clearer than ever.

"But this is still not enough..."

He continued: "I want to find even more things that I like."

"Very cunning."

Ao Luan murmured.

"What?"

Sun Wukong looked over.

"Brother is really cunning, it's always you."

Ao Luan looked at Sun Wukong, then suddenly mustered courage and charged towards him.

She wanted to hug Sun Wukong.

Sun Wukong widened his eyes in surprise, but just as Ao Luan was about to embrace him, she suddenly stopped.

It wasn't that she didn't want to, but she didn't dare.

Her courage evaporated in an instant.

"Brother is the Heavenly Emperor, should I really do this?"

Ao Luan thought to herself.

The next moment, Sun Wukong's arms embraced her.

Ao Luan incredulously widened her eyes, seeing the corners of Sun Wukong's lips slightly curve.

"It seems I still need to give you some more training."

He said.

Then, Ao Luan fainted.
