The Tathāgata Must Fail

Chapter 454: A Life Devoted to a Single Goal (Part 1)

Asura Realm, the sky suddenly became splendid.

On the ground, warriors who were training in combat looked up, seeing figures of light crossing Reincarnation and appearing in the sky.

"Indeed, as long as it's not Your Majesty himself, those Buddha Beads won't waste their strength to deal with us."

A voice said.

"This place is very suitable for establishing a monitoring point."

Another voice replied.

They took notice of the warriors fighting on the ground.

"Asura King, take them back to the Three Realms."

Emperor Qinghua said.

"Yes."

Asura King Luo Hou, who emerged from Reincarnation, landed on the ground.

The warriors quickly knelt down.

"Go and call everyone."

Luo Hou said: "I am going to take you to the Three Realms."

The warriors felt that something was off about Luo Hou, but they still obeyed.

Before long, everyone in the Asura Realm gathered together, standing before Reincarnation, mighty like an ocean.

"The Asura Realm invaded the Three Realms and deserved to be executed, but the Heavenly Emperor has given us a chance."

Luo Hou stood at the forefront, saying: "In the Three Realms, you must all obey the Heavenly Emperor and not cause any chaos."

The warriors of the Asura Clan hardly dared to breathe loudly, especially after knowing about the failure of the Expeditionary Army and the destruction of Zhu Long, they dared not show any resistance.

"The Asura Clan will be divided into four groups to return to the Three Realms."

Luo Hou continued: "Send the children first!"

The warriors of the Asura Clan faithfully executed the order.

Some young children were hurried forward.

"Mother, can we come back?"

Jin Naluo asked his mother.

"I don't know."

The mother said, holding the boy's hand: "But there is not much worth coming back to in a place like this."

The Three Realms were an unknown place, but after all, it was the shining light that the Asura people had seen, and no matter what, they believed the Three Realms could not possibly be worse than the Asura Realm.

With almost no resistance, the Asura Clan sent their children into Reincarnation.

Jin Naluo would never forget his first day in the Three Realms.

Verdant mountains and flowing water, misty clouds — these were sights unseen in the desolate Asura Realm.

All the children were amazed.

The guiding Immortals allocated the children to schools across the Four Great Continents.

Jin Naluo arrived at a small town school in the Divine East Continent, where he learned about writing and basic knowledge. Three years passed before someone found him and took him to his parents.

His parents were working in a mining area.

The Asura Clan, being naturally combative and having committed great sin, were dispersed and arranged across different regions of the Four Great Continents to eliminate their threat — aside from the young children, all members of the Asura Clan were doing laborious work similar to mining, which allowed them to vent their strength and gradually learn the knowledge of the Three Realms.

Only those who were well-behaved had the privilege to bring their children back.

Jin Naluo and a group of Asura Clan children began learning in the mining area.

They came to know many things.

The Three Realms needed development, the Heavenly Emperor spared the Asura Clan from annihilation, but in return, the Asura Clan had to cleanse their sins with fifty years of labor.

Almost all of the Asura people gladly accepted the punishment.

Compared to the barren Asura Realm, even the hardest labor in the mining areas of the Three Realms seemed like heaven to the Asura people.

Here, there was fresh air and water, and no need for daily combat — they adored it to the point of madness.

"Long live the Heavenly Emperor!"

"Long live!"

The Asura Clan even adored Sun Wukong more than humans did.

They worked exceedingly hard, yearning for the day when they would truly be accepted as part of the Three Realms.

The children were even luckier, for they only needed to learn various types of knowledge.

If they were good at their studies, they wouldn't have to work in the mining areas when they grew up.

Jin Naluo heard from his school teacher that all children of the Three Realms were learning.

"Why are we not cultivating, but learning these useless things?"

He once curiously asked the teacher.

"For the sake of moving forward."

The teacher answered like that.

"Moving forward?"

Jin Naluo did not understand the word.

It wasn't until long afterward, looking back at his childhood, that he realized the Three Realms were undergoing a grand reform at the time.

In just one or two generations, the Three Realms had achieved the enlightenment and education of all beings.

But at that time, Jin Naluo did not realize this and was not interested in learning.

"What's wrong with mining?"

He thought, preferring to stay in the mining area for a lifetime.

Until one day, there was an explosion in the mining area.

The reason for the explosion was that they had unearthed a strange ore, which injured many Asura warriors, and some Immortals, hearing about the incident, even came over specially.

"This is it!"

After inspecting the ore, the Immortals were overjoyed.

"The aura of this ore is similar to that of a Barrier!"

They were ecstatic and almost instantly protected the mining area.

The Immortals, finding the Asura people clumsy, swiftly sent them to other mining areas.

"This is not something you should touch."

A casually spoken sentence from an Immortal pierced Jin Naluo's heart.

He did not understand what had happened, but suddenly he became aware of his own insignificance.

Although it was the Asura people who had discovered the ore, they did not even have the chance to touch it.

So, he decided to go out and see for himself.
