Chaos, silent and extinct
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning streaks across, creating a crack, from which Sun Wukong emerges.
"This is beyond the Heavenly Court."
He looks back and can sense the presence of the Blood Sea in the distance.
This time, he is sure that he has left the Heavenly Court.
However, beyond the Heavenly Court, there is still the boundless chaotic energy, and directions are indistinguishable.
Sun Wukong applies his Divine Skills; his eyes momentarily enwrapped in silver light, and the world he sees changes completely.
Several glowing paths spread out and intertwine in the chaos, leading to different Cosmic Domains.
"Which way leads to the Three Realms?"
Sun Wukong thought and calculated carefully but could only roughly determine a direction without pinpointing the correct path.
He had to resort to the most straightforward method—trial each path one by one.
Sun Wukong then split into hundreds of forms, each taking a different path. After two days, he found that the paths branched and extended at the ends, creating even more disorder.
"It might take thousands of attempts."
Sun Wukong thought to himself: "The distance is too great."
Finding the path to the Three Realms was more difficult than he expected. Even delving deep on each path for two days, he did not find it, indicating that he was extremely far from the Three Realms.
"I really have been away for too long."
Sun Wukong felt somewhat melancholic.
Immortal Zhenyuan had told him that he had been gone for a long time.
At that time, Sun Wukong was a bit skeptical since he remembered propelling the Buddha Beads through Chaos and did not feel it took very long, just that he was knocked out by an explosion for a while.
Unexpectedly, during that period, ten years had passed in the Three Realms.
"How could this be?"
Sun Wukong was puzzled.
Was it because he was unconscious for too long, or did he fly too fast, surpassing time?
Now was not the time to think about this.
Sun Wukong shook his head and continued to focus on finding the way.
Meanwhile, as he was searching for the path, a strange monk appeared in the Eastern Continent.
"Venerable, the Spiritual Energy here is incredibly dense."
The monk walked through the misty deep mountains, saying, "I'm about to get lost."
"Go left."
A voice advised in his ear.
"Yes."
The monk continued to the left, and after the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, he finally left the deep mountain forest.
Just as he left, he was immediately stunned.
"How can the Heavenly Palace of the Three Realms be so low!"
The monk looked towards the sky to the west and saw cities between the clouds, floating in midair, with some Immortal Ships with sails shuttling between them.
"That's not the Heavenly Palace."
The voice in his ear spoke: "Those are cities built by mortals."
The monk's eyes widened in astonishment: "That's impossible!"
How could mortals build such cities?
"Venerable, how do you know those are mortal cities?"
The monk couldn't help asking.
But after asking twice, the Venerable did not respond.
The monk realized the Venerable was displeased and dared not ask further.
He continued his journey westward, spotting Floating Cities commonly, and saw mortals riding swords everywhere.
The mortals of the Three Realms had actually mastered Immortal Law.
The monk was immensely shocked.
What shocked him even more was a man-made Immortal Artifact he saw on the road.
It was a type of Immortal Artifact that could sprint on the ground, seeming to be linked together by sections of boxes engraved with Runes, also shaped into various imposing forms of Giant Dragons.
This was not the first time the monk had accompanied the Venerable away from the Heavenly Court.
To save the exotic beasts in Chaos, he had traversed countless Star Palaces, but it was his first time seeing such a peculiar and magnificent world.
"It's too terrifying."
Fear began to seep into the monk's heart; this world's prosperity and strength even surpassed the Pure Land established by the Venerable.
"Venerable..."
The monk was about to say something when suddenly a chill came from behind.
A sense of danger surged in his heart, and the monk immediately stopped talking.
"Who's there?"
He turned around to look, but behind him was empty, and he saw nothing.
"No one?"
The monk found it incredible.
He was the weakest Bodhisattva among the disciples of the White Robed Venerate. However, he could serve as a vessel for the White Robed Venerate, walking in other worlds undetected in mortal form.
Once someone noticed him, he could sense it immediately; this was his Divine Skill.
"Venerable, it seems someone has discovered us."
The monk thought to himself.
"It's the Heavenly Dao; no need to worry."
The Venerable replied, "The Heavenly Dao pervades between heaven and earth, perhaps sensing some anomalies, but as long as you don't show malice, I can conceal it from it."
"Malice?"
The monk immediately felt relieved.
He didn't know what the Venerable was up to on this trip, and he wasn't good at fighting in the first place, so how could he have malice?
The monk continued westward following the Venerable's guidance and entered a city.
"Rest here for a moment."
The Venerable suddenly said, "I will evade the Heavenly Dao for you."
The monk stopped and looked up at the statue at the city gate.
It was a giant statue of a Stone Monkey, majestic and beautiful, holding a Golden Hoop in its hand.
"Everywhere I go, I see this Heavenly Emperor."
The monk thought to himself.
This was a statue of that Heavenly Emperor; despite not interacting with the creatures of the Three Realms along the way, he had seen many statues.
Wherever there was a city, there would certainly be such statues.
And under the Stone Monkey's statues, there were always people worshiping them.
This statue was no different; many people gathered below to worship it, with the dense scent of incense lingering above the statue, enduringly.
Others couldn't see those scents of incense, but as a Bodhisattva, the monk could see them clearly.
"If the Heavenly Emperor never returns, the lingering incense might not disperse for a hundred years, by then these statues might become sentient."
The monk said, "Why would the Immortals here allow these statues to exist?"
"It must be unstoppable."
The Venerable sighed and answered, "Cannot be stopped."
These statues were good for Sun Wukong, but with Sun Wukong absent, the incense had no owner and would eventually become a disaster.
"Perhaps I shouldn't have come."
The Venerable said, "No need for a hundred years, just twenty years to prevent Sun Wukong, and the Three Realms will face a great disaster."
The monk was stunned, "Venerable, are you intending to destroy the Three Realms?"
"It was curiosity that brought me here."
The White Robed Venerate answered.
He originally wanted to see the Three Realms, primarily to see if he could enlighten the beings here, but now, he had changed his mind.
The Three Realms were too powerful; along the way, humans, demons, and even Immortals, each had their own rules, living perfectly here.
His Pure Land held no attraction for the beings of this world.
The teaching ability of that Sun Wukong far surpassed his.
"Such a character, what a pity..."
The White Robed Venerate thought to himself, then said to the monk, "I have deceived the Heavenly Dao for you, you may leave now."
The monk once again stepped westward.
