Bodhisattvas surrounded the Chaos Battlefield, with Buddha Light filling the sky.
Sun Wukong let out a mighty roar, his Jingu Bang in hand bursting with blood-red light and spewing flames, clashing with the Bodhisattvas.
"Isn't it supposed to be a one-on-one fight? Why outnumber and overwhelm?"
Daji said somewhat angrily.
Buddha smiled and glanced at her: "Who told you it was a one-on-one?"
On this battlefield, there was no such thing as a one-on-one duel.
Buddha looked towards Chaos, the battle between Sun Wukong and the numerous Bodhisattvas lit up thousands of trails of firelight, the heat waves palpable even from miles away.
"Daji."
Buddha spoke, "I heard you possess the Protecting Dharma Method, shield my Protectors."
"Protector?"
A thought flashed through Daji, and she instantly understood.
She brandished white silk, stepped on the void, her body twirling, and began to dance.
This dance seemed enchanted, instantly the surrounding petals thrived, and the battle gradually ceased, as the Buddha's disciples all looked on.
Buddha saw many of his disciples bewildered, gave a subtle smile, and a radiant lotus platform appeared beneath his feet.
Sitting on the lotus seat, Buddha demonstrated the Great Method, preached the true fruits of enlightenment, expounded the Three Vehicles Scripture and the Five Elements Lengyan, beginning to convert his disciples.
For a moment, Buddha Light illuminated Chaos, and the sound of wisdom resonated through heaven and earth.
Yet, while promoting the true fruits, a speck of Buddha Light fell from Buddha's body and stealthily left the battlefield.
It was Buddha's True Spirit that sneaked into Fanjing Mountain.
This mountain was beyond the mundane world, covered in Auspicious Light and swirling mists, with pavilions and towers overlapped endlessly.
"What a pure and divine land."
Admiring, Buddha proceeded deeper into Fanjing Mountain.
The mountain held a relic whose powerful aura reached out to Chaos, compelling Buddha to inspect it.
Ordinary people couldn't sense the relic, even Sun Wukong wouldn't know without seeing it, but Buddha could feel it.
"What exactly is this relic?"
An unsettled feeling stirred in Buddha's heart. He traversed through thick mists, his heart beating faster.
"Over there."
Buddha turned to his right, his body as if divinely guided, took a step, and vanished into thin air.
The next moment, he appeared beneath a Bodhi Tree.
The Bodhi Tree rooted in the void, glowing with rainbow radiance, its seven leaves each a different color, illuminating the figure beneath it.
Buddha saw the person and felt a jolt in his heart.
What kind of person was this? Seated cross-legged half a foot from the ground, appearing as both male and female, both old and young, both alive and dead, blurry and indistinct.
This person seemed weightless, their body undulating with the wind, devoid of any Immortal Light, yet emitting a supreme authority that made one involuntarily want to kneel.
"Not a relic?"
Buddha opened his Dharma Eye.
In the next moment, scenes flashed through his mind.
These were people limping towards this place, sitting on the lotus seat, merging into one person.
These scenes, like comets, illuminated Buddha's mind.
"Reincarnation Body."
It was formed from hundreds of reincarnations condensed.
"Could it be him?"
An ominous foreboding surged in Buddha.
Such powerful aura, could it possibly be the Reincarnation Body of the White Robed Venerate.
He had brought every reincarnated body to this place.
What was he planning to do?
"No, he cannot be left here!"
Although Buddha did not yet understand what the White Robed Venerate was attempting, he knew that this body's emergence would surely threaten Sun Wukong.
Without hesitation, Buddha struck with his palm, radiant and dazzling, aiming at the figure beneath the tree.
Suddenly, a layer of golden light appeared in front of the figure, blocking Buddha's Giant Palm, with a booming sound like metal clashing with stone.
Buddha was forced back by the tremendous counterforce, taking another look, his heart turned cold.
The eyes beneath the tree opened wide.
"Great Monk."
He spoke, "We belong to the same teaching, why must we struggle against each other?"
It was the voice of the White Robed Venerate.
Not only the voice, but even his appearance had changed.
Like a mirror, Buddha saw his own face, dignified Dharma form floating in the void.
"Indeed, it's you."
Buddha asked, "Is this your physical body?"
"I have no physical body."
The White Robed Venerate replied.
"Where would he have a physical body, his body is the Venerate."
The Buddha Beads suddenly lit up: "He is slightly better than you, but he's merely a fraction of the Venerate's benevolence."
"What does that mean?"
Buddha caught the unusual meaning in the words: "He's better than me? What relation do I have with him?"
"You don't need to worry about that."
They mocked: "This bead of benevolence wanted to separate from the Venerate, creating a false body."
"I have already separated from him."
The White Robed Venerate once again sealed the voice of the Buddha Beads.
Originally a benevolent part of the Venerate, enduring hardships, achieving unprecedented feats, he formed this body, and could not allow the mockery of the Buddha Beads.
"This body is not yet fully formed, but since you've seen it, you should understand."
The White Robed Venerate looked towards Buddha, saying, "This body, is even stronger than Sun Wukong."
Buddha frowned slightly.
"Let's stop here. I don't want to be your enemy, and I don't need your help anymore."
The White Robed Venerate said, "You just need to stand aside, and Sun Wukong will be defeated by me."
Buddha shook his head: "I can't do that."
"You are too stubborn."
The White Robed Venerate was about to continue when suddenly waves of Buddhist sounds began to ring out, echoing through the Chaos.
He looked up, seeing many disciples of Buddha putting down their Tin Staffs, kneeling towards Buddha's Dharma form in the Chaos.
"You are stealing my disciples of Buddha."
The White Robed Venerate withdrew his gaze, his expression darkening: "If that's the case, this is a battle of Tao lineage, I cannot tolerate you."
Buddha felt this scene seemed somewhat familiar.
"But you are the lesser Tao, I am the Great Tao, you cannot defeat me."
The White Robed Venerate continued: "I'll give you one more chance to help me."
Buddha shook his head in refusal.
"If that is so, Great Monk, take my palm strike."
The White Robed Venerate, no longer retaining any sentiment, stretched out his hand, a dazzling light appeared, pressing towards Buddha.
This move, not strong in momentum, but hidden with great terror.
Buddha was greatly startled, resisting with all his might, but the light still engulfed him.
After a thunderous sound, near the Bodhi Tree, nothing was left but a rock.
The White Robed Venerate picked up the rock: "Why must you suffer like this?"
Although it seemed strange how easily Buddha was suppressed, following this strike, he could no longer sense Buddha's presence.
"Is he dead?"
A Buddha Bead broke free of the seal and asked.
"Can you be quiet!"
The White Robed Venerate sealed it again.
These Buddha Beads were quite powerful; if not careful, they would break free from the seal.
The White Robed Venerate strung the pebble, hanging it around his neck, adding hurriedly as to avoid further questions from the Buddha Beads, "He's inside."
The Buddha Beads immediately stopped asking, collectively emitting light, crashing towards the pebble.
The White Robed Venerate disregarded them, turning his gaze towards the Chaos.
In the Chaos, the Dharma form of Buddha that preached the rightful fruit, alongside his True Spirit, suddenly shattered.
The surrounding disciples of Buddha, unaware of what had happened, descended into confusion.
