Urban Soldier Young Master

Chapter 206: Liu Weijiang Gets Beaten

Following a loud "crash," the sound of swearing came from outside.

Upon hearing this noise, Liu Weijiang couldn't help but pause.

As a regular patron of Roman Holiday, he certainly knew that the soundproofing of this supreme VIP room was excellent. Yet the fact that the sounds from outside could still come in so clearly indicated just how much commotion was happening out there.

Not only did Liu Weijiang pause, but the young men in the room, who were covered in darts and greatly admired Chu Ge's dart-throwing skills, also paused and exchanged bewildered glances with each other.

Listening to the increasingly chaotic sounds of things being smashed and people swearing outside, Liu Weijiang's previously smiling face quickly turned completely somber.

Everything had been going so well, just as planned. The atmosphere was getting lively, and they were about to reach the most critical part of his plan. Why did something like this have to happen?

Wasn't this just causing trouble for him, Liu Weijiang? If this affected Chu Ge's mood, what would that be?

With a tight frown, Liu Weijiang turned his gaze to Chu Ge, putting on a forced smile that looked anything but comfortable.

"Mr. Chu, please sit. I'll go see who's causing trouble outside. I'll make sure they get lost."

Chu Ge shook his head and said, "I think we should just let it go. They're making their mess; we're having our fun. If they're daring enough to cause trouble in a place like this, they're probably not easy to deal with."

Hearing Chu Ge say this, Liu Weijiang quickly pondered the situation, thinking that this might not actually be Chu Ge's true thoughts.

With such chaos outside, how could it not affect Chu Ge's mood? Maybe Chu Ge was testing him to see if he had enough guts and ability to handle the situation.

The more he thought about it, the more Liu Weijiang felt this was the case. Regardless of whether he was right, he felt he had to go out and take a look, hoping to make a good impression on Chu Ge. This would give him more confidence when discussing serious matters with Chu Ge later.

In fact, Liu Weijiang was overthinking the situation.

From Chu Ge's perspective, if someone dared to cause trouble in a place like this, they certainly weren't someone to be trifled with. Even if Liu Weijiang had some influence, it didn't mean everyone would give him face. If he ran into someone tougher, wouldn't that just create more trouble for himself?

Chu Ge wasn't afraid of trouble, but he didn't want to get involved in completely unnecessary issues.

Unfortunately, before Chu Ge could say more, Liu Weijiang stormed out with a face full of anger.

With a "bang," he opened the door and saw the scene in another open room, a supreme VIP room.

An effeminate man with glasses, looking quite refined, was sitting on the sofa with his legs crossed, smoking a cigarette with a mocking smile.

Around him were seven or eight burly men with a dangerous aura about them, clearly not people to mess with. Some held pool cues, others had golf clubs, and they were smashing things with abandon while swearing.

The floor was a mess, covered with broken bottles, with red wine, beer, and liquor soaking the expensive carpet in a patchwork of stains.

The aquarium in the room had also been smashed, and colorful ornamental fish were struggling to survive, futilely flopping on a floor mixed with various drinks.

Looking further inside, Liu Weijiang saw a dozen or so girls cowering in the corner, barely daring to breathe. Nearly every girl was secretly watching a soft, weak-looking girl in a school uniform; some had sympathetic looks in their eyes, some appeared disdainful, and others were downright angry.

After carefully checking out the troublemakers, Liu Weijiang found they were all unfamiliar faces; not one of them was someone he knew, which gave him a bit more confidence.

In Lidu City, he didn't claim to know everyone important, but he knew quite a few of them.

In his view, these people were probably outsiders here to have a wild time or were nouveau riche unaware of their limits. He didn't think he could be so unlucky as to run into someone he didn't know and couldn't afford to offend.

Even though he had a plan, Liu Weijiang didn't start off too cockily. He squinted his eyes, walked over, and tentatively spoke up.

"What's the situation here?"

When Liu Weijiang reached the doorway, the big guys smashing things inside stopped what they were doing, and the man on the sofa turned his head to glance at Liu Weijiang, "Does it have anything to do with you?"

The man's tone was far from polite, causing Liu Weijiang's anger to flare up. He raised his chin and said, "You're affecting me. What do you think, does it have anything to do with me?"

"Oh, sorry about that. What's your name, buddy?"

"My friends all call me Brother Jiang or Mr. Jiang. I say, buddy, could you do me a favor and keep it down a bit?"

The man on the sofa nodded, "Oh, Young Master Jiang? I really must apologize for the disturbance, how about this, I buy you a drink?"

Hearing this, Liu Weijiang felt quite pleased inside, it seemed his name really carried weight, immediately intimidating this group of people.

However, as Liu Weijiang walked to the coffee table, ready for the other to offer him a drink, the seemingly gentle man on the sofa signaled to a strongman beside him.

Immediately, this strongman unexpectedly grabbed his hair and slammed his head onto the coffee table with a "bang" and then picked up a broken wine bottle from the floor, pressing its sharp glass shards against Liu Weijiang's throat.

Feeling the cold, sharp sensation on his throat, Liu Weijiang's heart skipped a beat.

He really didn't expect it, how the other party seemed cautious one moment and called for action the next, leaving him no time to react.

"Young Master Jiang, right? Quite the reputation you have? Why haven't I heard of you at all?"

The other's voice still sounded indifferent, but Liu Weijiang didn't dare to move, cold sweat once again seeping from his freshly wiped forehead.

"Buddy, I advise you to put that thing away, if it accidentally injures me, I guarantee you'll regret it." Though Liu Weijiang was somewhat panicked inside, he didn't back down verbally, confronting the man directly.

At this moment, the general manager of Roman Holiday, hearing the commotion, hurried to the doorway, took one look inside, and his head buzzed, his face instantly going pale as his heart skipped a beat.

He recognized both people by the coffee table, one was the son of the chairman of Liger Group, Long Kun, with deep connections, and the other was Liu Weijiang, a proper government second-generation and son of the city's Bureau of Industry and Commerce director.

In any case, each of them were people this out-of-town businessman couldn't afford to provoke.

"Brother Long, Brother Long, please be merciful, let me introduce you, this is the son of our city's Bureau of Industry and Commerce director, is there a misunderstanding between you two? How about we sit down and talk it out?"

Long Kun glanced at the doorway, then squinted his eyes and patted Liu Weijiang's face, "Kid, do we have a misunderstanding?"

Feeling the utter disdain in Long Kun's tone, Liu Weijiang's heart felt unsteady.

If the other didn't know who he was, it'd be one thing, but since they knew who he was and still acted this way, it showed their background was really something.

Thinking of the general manager's earlier "Brother Long", Liu Weijiang quickly reconsidered, in Lidu City, for those with the surname Long and with clout, there seemed to be only the Long Tao and Long Kun from the Liger Group.

Thinking of this, Liu Weijiang furrowed his brows and asked, "Are you Long Kun from the Long Family?"

Hearing Liu Weijiang calling his name, Long Kun coldly laughed without answering, signaling for his underlings to move the broken wine bottle away from Liu Weijiang's nose.

In Long Kun's view, since Liu Weijiang knew him, then this kid shouldn't give him any more trouble, although he wasn't in a good mood now, he didn't want further complications.

Anyway, Liu Weijiang was also considered a government second-generation, as long as he got lost quickly, this matter would be over, and he had other business to discuss with Roman Holiday's general manager.

However, what Long Kun never expected was that once Liu Weijiang was out of the glass shard's threat, he immediately stiffened and pointed at him with defiance, "You damn well wait for me! Let's see how long you can keep laughing!"

This time, Long Kun was really furious, giving a hard slap across the face, "You little brat, I really gave you some face!"

Seeing Long Kun take action himself, several strongmen beside him also rushed up, landing a flurry of punches and kicks on Liu Weijiang, and within moments, Liu Weijiang was down on the ground.

Being mobbed by this group, Liu Weijiang couldn't help but feel both shocked and angry inside. He really didn't expect a merchant's child would dare lay hands on him.

Who was Liu Weijiang? He was the son of the Bureau of Industry and Commerce director of Lidu City, a title full of pride!

As the saying goes, citizens don't fight officials, doesn't this Long Kun fear his father's Liger Group might get shut down?

Seeing Liu Weijiang being mercilessly beaten by Long Kun's men, the general manager of Roman Holiday at the door suddenly felt blackness in his eyes, swaying as he was almost scared out of his wits.

If anything bad happened to the Bureau director's son in his venue, where would his business even go?

"Brother Long, oh my Brother Long, stop, I beg you to stop hitting."

Yet as the general manager approached, asking nervously, he got a cigarette butt thrown in his face by Long Kun, "Get lost, I'll deal with you later!"

Meanwhile, Chu Ge, hearing the increasing commotion outside, finally rubbed his forehead helplessly, got up, and walked out.
