Urban Soldier Young Master

Chapter 216: All of You Absorb It

Trying to make no sound, Liang Yu used the body of a person beside him as cover, inching his fingers down into his pocket.

Even though he dared not make a call in front of the fierce Chu Ge, he planned to at least dial the number to inform others about his compromised situation.

However, just as Liang Yu's fingers brushed the edge of the phone, he noticed Chu Ge had stopped violently kicking Ye Li's foster father, causing his pupils to contract and his body to shiver. He quickly withdrew his hand from his pocket.

With his shoe tip, Chu Ge moved Ye Li's foster father's protective hand aside and stared at the face he felt an overwhelming urge to pummel.

"Now, do you still want me to get you some powder?"

"Aiya... no, ah... I don't want it, no no no, I don't dare."

Chu Ge sneered coldly, looking down at Ye Li's foster father with contempt, "Really don't want it?"

Bracing himself against the intense pain, Ye Li's foster father shook his head like a rattle drum, "Really... really don't want it."

Chu Ge snorted from his nose, grabbing Ye Li's foster father's hair, staring into his terrified eyes and cries of pain, his lips curling into a cold and cruel smile, "Then I'll tell you, it's too late to not want it now! I'm going to give it to you anyway!"

Before Ye Li's foster father could react, Chu Ge suddenly turned his head, casting his icy gaze toward Liang Yu, who was standing speechless and frozen with fear.

"Bring out all your goods for me, now, immediately, right away."

Liang Yu's mind buzzed, almost fainting. Chu Ge's demand was absolutely ruthless.

Opening his mouth, Liang Yu was just about to utter some plea when a playing card whipped across, brushing past his cheek.

Liang Yu's cheek twitched; he didn't believe this monster had missed his mark. Clearly, this was meant as a threat and a warning.

"I don't want to repeat myself twice."

Liang Yu felt as if he was about to cry. He thought about offering Chu Ge a small portion to fool him, but the problem was that all his goods were stored together, and he couldn't separate them!

He considered fighting Chu Ge, but quickly dismissed the idea. He knew very well that since he couldn't match this monster, words were useless. His face darkened as he nodded reluctantly.

Liang Yu picked up an ordinary-looking keyboard from the desk. When he dismantled it, the hidden mystery within revealed itself.

It was a flattened freezer bag filled with fine white powder.

Seeing the white powder, Ye Li's foster father's eyes lit up instantly, and he seemed to feel no pain anymore. Licking his dry lips, he looked as if he was seeing his closest kin.

As Liang Yu, face full of pain, handed over the freezer bag, Chu Ge didn't bother asking if it was all, directly tossing the bag onto Ye Li's foster father's face.

"Didn't you want it? It's all yours now. Sniff it, sniff it all up, don't leave a speck of powder."

Upon hearing Chu Ge's words, the excitement on Ye Li's foster father's face vanished immediately, replaced by deep panic.

Indeed, he craved it, but he also knew well that within the long freezer bag was at least half a pound. If he did it all at once, he'd likely see King Yama.

"Gra... Granduncle, I... you... this..."

Ye Li's foster father was truly terrified. His face went pale, eyes wide with fear, speech fragmented and stuttering.

"Stop talking nonsense, sniff it all up!"

Chu Ge stood with hands behind his back, stepping on Ye Li's foster father's head, pressing it onto the freezer bag.

Feeling Chu Ge's serious intent, Ye Li's foster father burst into tears, wetting his pants, and the air filled with an acrid scent.

"Scared to die now? What were you doing before? I'm telling you, if it weren't for Ye Li, I wouldn't even bother dirtying my hand hitting you, or my shoe by kicking you. Do you know how much I want to kill you now?"

With a kick, he sent Ye Li's foster father sprawling aside, flicking the freezer bag full of white powder into his hand, tearing it open, letting the powder fall onto the ground.

Crushing the small pile of powder on the ground underfoot, under Liang Yu's painfully distressed gaze, Chu Ge turned to Ye Li's foster father and said coldly, "This matter ends here today. I'm not interested in wasting words with you. Find a suitable excuse, and take time to sever your foster father-daughter relationship with Ye Li. You, such trash, are not fit for her to call you 'dad'."

"Remember, if I find out you ever ask Ye Li for money again, I guarantee you'll understand what it means to wish for death. Also, I wasn't here today, and I don't want anyone knowing about this. Do you understand?"

"Yes... yes, yes..."

Ye Li's foster father was almost scared senseless, squatting on the ground, repeating one word over and over.

Chu Ge glanced at Liang Yu and the others. Although Liang Yu was seething with hatred, he could only nod.

After speaking, Chu Ge jumped out of the window again, not wanting to stay in that disgusting place for even a second longer.

With Chu Ge's departure, Liang Yu finally felt like he could breathe a little easier. He had a real urge to kill Ye Li's foster father. If it weren't for this scumbag, how could he have gotten into such trouble and suffered such a great loss?

But then again, thinking about the fact that he was the fearsome guy's father-in-law, Liang Yu really didn't dare do it. He was just seething with anger as he dialed Long Kun's phone number.

When Long Kun heard about this over the phone, he almost threw his phone away in anger. Why was he so unlucky lately?

Although the batch of goods in Liang Yu's hands wasn't much and the loss wasn't too severe for him, the key thing was that this was just too unlucky!

Moreover, from Liang Yu's description, why did that troublesome fearsome guy seem so much like Chu Ge?

After getting in a taxi, Chu Ge headed straight home. After this round of trouble, it was already past ten when he reached his building.

From downstairs, he could see that the light in his bedroom was still on. When he got to his front door, he took a deep breath first to calm his chaotic emotions, put a gentle smile back on his face, and then took out his keys to open the door.

In his sight, Ye Li was in the living room, sitting on a small stool, holding a shirt covered in laundry detergent foam, with a large basin of water in front of her. She was obviously helping Chu Ge with his laundry, but seemed lost in thought.

"Brother Chu! You're, you're back."

Seeing Chu Ge, Ye Li initially showed a relieved expression, then stood up from the small stool. Her eyes revealed anticipation and apprehension. She bit her lip, but didn't ask more questions.

Chu Ge felt a pang in his heart. This girl was truly kind. Judging from her expression, she obviously prioritized his safety first and then her foster father's trouble.

Just for this, Chu Ge's opinion of Ye Li went up a few notches.

Chu Ge smiled, "Yes, I found some friends, connected some relationships, and finally solved the issue. You don't have to repay the money for your foster father."

Ye Li was taken aback for a moment, then her face was filled with joy, "Brother Chu, really... really?"

It's not that she didn't believe Chu Ge, Ye Li was just so excited. In her eyes, this was a huge problem. Asking again was just an instinctive reaction.

Chu Ge entered the house and sat on the sofa, smiling, "Why not call him and let him tell you himself?"

Ye Li nodded excitedly. When she was about to take her phone from her bag, she realized she was still holding Chu Ge's shirt. She immediately put it back in the basin and wiped her hands haphazardly on her pants.

The call was quickly connected, and Ye Li's foster father's voice came through the receiver. After hanging up, Ye Li bit her lip, lost in thought for several seconds, and then two lines of clear tears flowed down again.

Chu Ge didn't hear what Ye Li's foster father said over the phone. Seeing her cry again, he couldn't help but feel puzzled. Was that scum really so tired of living? Did he say something he shouldn't have?

"Ye Li, why are you crying?" Chu Ge asked softly, coming to her side.

"I... I'm happy, Brother Chu. Thank you, thank you. My foster father said he won't touch drugs anymore, and he even said some caring words to me. You know, he hasn't spoken to me like that in a long time. I... sob sob..."

In her clear eyes, there was a sorrowful amount of tears, enough to make anyone watching feel heartache. Chu Ge sighed inwardly. What a naturally contented and kind girl she was.

Affectionately brushing Ye Li's hair, Chu Ge smiled, "Silly girl, hasn't he said those kinds of things more than once? Do you still want to believe him?"

Ye Li shook her head, "It's different this time, really. I can feel it. He should have really made up his mind."

"Let's hope so. Stop crying, you said it's a good thing, so you should be happy. When you're happy, you should smile. You love to cry so much, what if you apply makeup in the future? Won't it get ruined every time you cry?"

"Hmm... hmm! Brother Chu, do I look really ugly when I cry?" Ye Li nodded vigorously, rubbed her eyes, and smiled through her tears.

Taking a few tissues from the paper box on the dining table, Chu Ge handed them to Ye Li, smiling, "How could you? You're not ugly at all, really. But if you keep crying like this, won't the neighbors think I'm bullying you? Wipe away the tears, and after that, I'll take you back to school."

Using the tissues Chu Ge handed over, Ye Li wiped her tears, lowering her head, "Brother Chu, I... I haven't finished washing your clothes yet."

Chu Ge said with amusement, "You're not my maid. It's not really something you should be doing, right?"

"Then... then I won't leave, I, I..."

Ye Li bit her lip, wanting to speak but holding back.
