Urban Soldier Young Master

Chapter 330 He Qing's Attitude

He Qing gave a faint smile at the apology from the Party Secretary, stood up from the sofa, and casually said, "It's nothing," then proactively extended her hand.

Seeing He Qing extend her hand, Party Secretary Liao Zhengran and Mayor Li Feng then reached out to shake her hand, though it was only a light touch before they let go, as if fearing to incur her displeasure, displaying the demeanor of subordinates facing their superiors.

After the handshake, He Qing introduced, "Secretary Liao, Mayor Li, let me introduce you to my cousin, Chu Ge. He will be the president of the company I plan to establish in Lidu."

From He Qing's stance, it was evident that she had discussed the company matters with these two city leaders before. Although Chu Ge felt somewhat helpless, since things had progressed to this point, he could only smile at the two and shake their hands.

"Secretary Liao, Mayor Li, honestly, I don't really know how to manage a company. As for being the president, it's just a nominal title. The actual work will largely depend on Chairman Qin Ruojing."

Firstly, Chu Ge felt he had nothing to say to these two individuals, and secondly, he truly believed Qin Ruojing was far more professional than him.

At this point, Qin Ruojing had already composed herself, nodded to greet the two bigwigs, maintaining a composed demeanor. However, inwardly she felt proud, seeing their respectful attitude towards her.

Both Party Secretary Liao Zhengran and Mayor Li Duo were aware that the company He Qing intended to establish would operate under the Tianjiao Group. They couldn't help but feel a bit emotional, this young and beautiful girl was indeed fortunate enough to earn He Qing's approval. In the future, even they would have to show her respect.

"Secretary Liao, Mayor Li, these two will be our company's image ambassadors. Off the record, they are also fans of my cousin, and I hope you two leaders can take good care of them."

Upon hearing He Qing's introduction, Chen Jiatong and Xu Jingyuan felt gratitude swelling in their hearts. Her words essentially brought them into the core group, also representing that they could stand tall in Lidu, free from many of the usual troubles.

Along with their gratitude towards He Qing, these two were even more grateful to Chu Ge.

In their view, Chu Ge must have said something to He Qing, prompting her to specifically say such a thing. They were well aware that the notion of Chu Ge being their fan was merely a joke.

If they had previously only sought to climb up to Chu Ge, now, from the bottom of their hearts, they were genuinely fond of him.

After completing introductions among themselves, He Qing naturally took the main seat, with Chu Ge and Qin Ruojing on either side. As for Party Secretary Liao Zhengran and Mayor Li Duo, they sat below Chu Ge and Qin Ruojing, followed by Chen Jiatong and Xu Jingyuan.

This seating arrangement seemed to somewhat neglect the face of the Mayor and Party Secretary, but He Qing didn't care. She wanted to express the importance Chu Ge and Qin Ruojing held in her heart, very important, allowing Liao Zhengran and Li Duo to take note.

Of course, Qin Ruojing also rode on Chu Ge's coattails to have the opportunity to sit above these two bigwigs.

As for Chen Jiatong and Xu Jingyuan, though they were seated at the end, they were already quite content, as even this position was not one just anyone could occupy.

The wine on the table was naturally good, and the dishes were naturally exquisite, but aside from Chu Ge, no one else showed much interest in the fine wines and gourmet food. Without exaggeration, for any of them, this was a historic moment in their lives.

During the meal, He Qing's demeanor was far from the warmth and casualness she displayed at Qin Ruojing's house, nor did she offer any toasts, merely raising her glass slightly towards the two leaders at most as she took a small sip.

Qin Ruojing initially felt a bit uneasy, but after a brief reflection, she understood He Qing's intent.

He Qing intended to show an attitude; if she were to open a company here, everyone related to her company should stand firm, even if the city's highest leaders were present, there was no need to cater to them.

Understanding this, Qin Ruojing felt greatly relieved, and a glance at Chu Ge brought about a mix of exasperation and amusement.

This guy is truly carefree, being the only one at the table eating and drinking so heartily. His eating manner, while not inelegant, was somewhat bold.

For Chu Ge, eating at the dining table seemed obvious, but as he was alone in thinking so, he became somewhat conspicuous.

Seeing Chu Ge indulge himself without reservation, the initially tense Chen Jiatong and Xu Jingyuan gradually relaxed, feeling that this Eldest Young Master Chu was quite an interesting person, and thus slightly loosened up, livening the somewhat stifling table atmosphere.

The meal didn't last too long. After more than half an hour, seeing that Chu Ge was full and no longer moving his chopsticks much, He Qing then expressed the intention to settle the bill and conclude the gathering.

Whether it's Secretary Liao Zhengran or Mayor Li Duo, having reached their current positions, they are naturally shrewd individuals with keen observational skills. Upon seeing the situation, they exchanged glances, and Liao Zhengran spoke up once more to express his stance.

"Miss He, rest assured that we will fully support any matters concerning your company."

He Qing smiled slightly, "With Secretary Liao saying so, I am relieved. In fact, it is because I trust in the capabilities of Secretary Liao and Mayor Li that I only invited the two of you here today. Before you two take on greater responsibilities, I will have to trouble you with company affairs."

Upon hearing He Qing speak, both Liao Zhengran and Li Duo were overjoyed. Having been in the political arena for many years, how could they not detect the deeper meaning in He Qing's words?

Just the phrase "before taking on greater responsibilities" is worth pondering. It seems to be telling them that if they perform well, they will have such opportunities in the future.

As for what "greater responsibilities" refer to, it clearly means taking another step up the career ladder!

He Qing's promise is absolutely as good as gold to them, and they do not doubt her abilities at all. As long as she truly helps, it is more effective than anything else.

Excited and delighted, Liao Zhengran and Li Duo hurriedly took the opportunity to express their loyalty to He Qing. Being sharp-minded individuals, they naturally wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to side with the He Family, a chance that others would fight tooth and nail to get.

Watching Liao Zhengran and Li Duo ingratiate themselves with He Qing, Chu Ge found it utterly boring. He had always felt that nobody was really better than anyone else, nor was anyone more remarkable. Such hypocritical and pretentious politeness was truly a tedious affair.

Liao Zhengran and Li Duo exchanged further words with He Qing which, in Chu Ge's view, were dull, marking the end of the meal.

After the meal, He Qing prepared to pay, but was informed that the bill had already been settled. Though it was a brunch, it cost over seven thousand.

Of course, it was paid by Liao Zhengran. If seven thousand could buy He Qing's goodwill, it was certainly a worthwhile trade.

Leaving the Gold Classic Business Club, He Qing directly asked Chu Ge to take her to the airport. Chu Ge happened to have something he wanted to ask her, so he readily agreed, and got into the Maserati she had just bought at the convention center.

Chen Jiatong and Xu Jingyuan, on the other hand, took a taxi with Qin Ruojing, following behind the Maserati, heading toward the airport together.

Once the car started, Chu Ge glanced at He Qing, "Miss He, now it's just the two of us here. Tell me, why exactly did you set up such a company and then appoint me as this inexplicable CEO? What are you really thinking?"

He Qing was just about to speak when Chu Ge continued, "Don't say it's to train He Junming. You've got both Qin Ruojing and the mayor and secretary helping him, which pretty much paves a smooth path for him. Under these circumstances, how is he expected to gain any training?"

He Qing's heart stirred, but she maintained a smile. "Chu Ge, I really just want to train my brother. The company now has nothing but the money I can invest in it. If I don't give him a bit of help or ask you guys for assistance, do you think with his impatient nature, he could hold on until the company gets off the ground?"

Chu Ge shook his head: "Your reasoning is indeed valid. I have always thought so too, but honestly, it still feels off. There's always a feeling that there's something I haven't figured out. Again, I can't understand why you trust me so much."

He Qing looked out the car window, watching as the roadside trees and shops quickly receded, her thoughts seemingly drifting back to the most thrilling time of her life.

Turning back, she looked at Chu Ge's rugged profile and said with a helpless smile, "It's really simple, why do you have to overthink it? I've always said, you saved my life. Why wouldn't I trust you?"

"Please, I've told you very clearly before that I protected you because it was the mission requirement at the time. If the mission required me to kill you, I would have made every effort to do so."

"But facts are facts. I trust my lifesaver, isn't that natural? Moreover, for someone who can be loyal to a mission, why shouldn't I believe you would also keep your promise to help me and my brother?"

Although Chu Ge still harbored suspicions, he couldn't find fault with this explanation. He cast another doubtful glance at He Qing, saw her candid gaze, and focused his attention back on the road.

Seeing that Chu Ge had no further questions, He Qing secretly let out a sigh of relief. She had successfully passed this hurdle.

However, even He Qing herself didn't know how many more hurdles lay ahead in her attempt to be with Chu Ge.
