The Supreme Beauty Fell in Love with Me

Chapter 283: Marry No One But You

"Lin Chuan, you better not go," Silver Fox spoken up, "I can send someone in my stead. The mafia people are too brutal."

"Silly, how could I let you go alone?" Lin Chuan smiled and then said: "No matter how brutal the mafia people are, how can they be any match for me?"

After a brief silence, Silver Fox said: "I'm just worried about you."

"With my strength, why would you worry?" Lin Chuan reassured, "Just relax."

The car sped along the road, with vehicles whizzing by. Texas had plenty of racing enthusiasts, with various luxury cars speeding on the freeway. The speeds were so fast that many cars surpassed Silver Fox's Mercedes. Even though the Mercedes was well-insulated, the roaring of engines from outside still felt penetratingly sharp.

After half an hour of speeding, the car finally arrived in a bustling downtown area of the western district. Even at night, the place was bustling, with many cars slowing down after exiting the highway.

After entering the western district, Lin Chuan immediately sat upright, eyes focused on the once familiar cityscape. He was quite familiar with the western district of Texas, having spent three months there; three months were enough to get to know a city. Lin Chuan had left many memories in this city.

"We've arrived," Silver Fox by his side announced.

"Mmm," Lin Chuan nodded, "the villa on Thunder Cloud Road."

"It's not far from here," Silver Fox spoke, "Let's walk over."

"Okay," Lin Chuan nodded in agreement.

After parking the car, Lin Chuan took several items from a canvas bag and placed them in his pockets and waistband. Then he followed Silver Fox out of the car.

Looking around vigilantly, Silver Fox immediately took Lin Chuan's arm and whispered in his ear: "Lin Chuan, there are many of the mafia's informants here, let's pretend to be a couple to distract them."

"Makes sense," Lin Chuan nodded.

Lin Chuan wrapped his arm around Silver Fox's slender waist as they walked leisurely towards their destination. In truth, Lin Chuan knew all too well that it was merely an excuse from Silver Fox. This was a woman's heart laid bare to a man. Lin Chuan couldn't refuse, indeed he couldn't afford to.

Their embrace made them look exceedingly intimate. A handsome man and a stunning woman, the perfect match that evoked the envy of passersby.

Leaving the parking lot, they turned onto a side road that would lead them to the villas near Thunder Cloud Road. The villas there were conveniently located right next to the road, hence they were expensive. However, transportation was convenient and various amenities were excellent.

With a faint smile playing on his lips, Lin Chuan said, "It seems we are almost there."

"Yes," Silver Fox sighed, "this is the happiest walk I've ever had in my life."

"Silver Fox, I..." Lin Chuan began, his head bowed.

"Don't say anything," Silver Fox interrupted, covering Lin Chuan's mouth with her delicate fingers, and then said: "I understand what you mean, I won't hold any illusions about you. It's just..."

"What is it?" Lin Chuan asked.

"I just hope that you'll keep me in your heart," Silver Fox's eyes were filled with a plaintive sadness.

"You've always been in my heart," Lin Chuan said with a smile.

"Thank you!" Silver Fox looked at Lin Chuan gratefully, "Sometimes I deeply regret, why it was her, not me."

"Everyone is different," Lin Chuan held Silver Fox's face in his hands, "You're a good girl, I... I don't want to let you down!"

"But my heart only has you in it. Ever since you saved me, my whole being and my heart belonged to you," Silver Fox said earnestly to Lin Chuan.

"I..." Lin Chuan looked embarrassed.

"In this life, I will marry none but you," Silver Fox declared resolutely to Lin Chuan, "If you won't have me, I shall remain alone."

"Why must you?" Lin Chuan said with a bitter laugh.

"I understand your predicament," said Silver Fox, suddenly smiling romantically, "but I will wait for you for a lifetime."

"Thank you." Lin Chuan felt a sudden surge of emotion, an impulsive urge, as he looked up at Silver Fox and said, "Silver Fox, if you are not married five years from now, I will marry you. How about that?"

"Really?" Silver Fox showed a touch of surprise.

"Mm." Lin Chuan nodded.

There was no reason to refuse the love of such a stunningly beautiful woman, and even less to reject a heart that had devoted itself to him for a lifetime. Lin Chuan was not a saint like Liuxia Hui, nor a philanderer like Ximen Qing. He was not a lustful rake, nor a paragon of virtue. He was just a man, an ordinary man. Any man would be moved by a woman as breathtaking as Silver Fox.

The reason Lin Chuan had refused Silver Fox was because he believed her love was born of gratitude. Had it not been for his saving her that day, she would not have made such a choice. Lin Chuan did not like feelings that stemmed from gratitude; he preferred mutual affection, just like the relationship between him and Tang Yumeng.

"That's wonderful." Silver Fox leapt up excitedly, as if she had gotten the toy she adored. Overwhelmed with joy, she hugged Lin Chuan and said, "Lin Chuan, thank you for your promise. At least it gives my life something to look forward to, doesn't it?"

"Silly girl." Lin Chuan cupped Silver Fox's exceedingly beautiful face, one that could only belong to a girl in a painting, and said, "I should be thanking you for coming into my life."

Silver Fox blushed and lowered her head.

"Alright, we should get going." Lin Chuan took Silver Fox's hand, and they quickly walked along Thunder Cloud Road.

Before long, they drew near to the villa provided by Everson. It was a very beautiful villa with a large plot of land. The villa was surrounded by an iron fence, topped with barbs that were nearly lethal. On top of the iron bars, a ring of barbed wire was stretched out with a 360-volt electric current running through it. Touch it, and you would die on the spot.

Lin Chuan and Silver Fox stood twenty meters away from the villa to observe.

"The security is tight," commented Silver Fox.

"Indeed!" Lin Chuan nodded and said, "But that doesn't mean there is no chance at all."

Silver Fox smiled and asked, "Lin Chuan, do you have a plan?"

"Of course!" Lin Chuan nodded and pointed, "Over there, do you see it?"

Silver Fox turned quickly in the direction indicated by Lin Chuan. Nearby was a hill that was taller than the house. Standing atop it, one could observe the movements inside. However, Silver Fox still did not understand how they could enter the villa from the hill.

"I… I still don't see it!" Silver Fox shook her head.

"That hill can be used to sneak into the forest." Lin Chuan said with a cold smile. "Because the iron fence on that side is not electrified."

Silver Fox looked closely and indeed, the iron fence near the hill did not have electric wires. She felt somewhat ashamed at this discovery; she hadn't expected Lin Chuan's observational skills to be so meticulous, beyond even her own capabilities—to the point of astonishment. Those wires, invisible to most, were now utterly exposed.

"Hmm, that might be feasible," agreed Silver Fox with a nod.

The two hurried towards the hill behind them.

After bypassing a patch of woods, they quickly reached the hill covered by dense trees. From this alone, it was apparent that foreign environmental conservation was commendable. Economies were growing while minimizing environmental damage, something that made others feel somewhat inferior.

After reaching the hill, Lin Chuan glanced at Silver Fox. Then, stealthily, he approached the villa.

When they were just about twenty meters away from the villa, Lin Chuan decisively went prone and started to crawl forward. Silver Fox followed closely, now dressed in black with her black leather miniskirt replaced by black leather pants. Together, they crawled towards the villa.

Approaching the villa, Lin Chuan quickly scaled over it, agile as a swift fox. In the blink of an eye, he flipped over the fence, indeed finding no electric wires. Silver Fox was not far behind, quickly following Lin Chuan over the iron fence.

"Lin Chuan, the villa is so large, and we don't know where Tang Yumeng is being held," Silver Fox said.

"We will find a way," Lin Chuan crouched on the ground and looked at Silver Fox. "We'll split up and search, I'll take the bottom two floors, and you take the top two. Search without exposing ourselves as much as possible. If discovered, eliminate immediately."

"Okay," Silver Fox nodded.

The bottom two floors were certainly the most dangerous places, whereas the top two floors were naturally the least guarded. After all, Silver Fox was a woman, and Lin Chuan's strength was much greater than hers. Silver Fox acted first, scaling the villa's outer wall along a drainpipe to reach the top floor quickly and sneaking her way into the attic.

When Lin Chuan saw that Silver Fox had safely reached the roof, he began to move as well. Several rooms on the lower floors were lit, and the lobby was also brightly lit. The glaring lights almost hurt Lin Chuan's eyes. With a sinister smile, he stayed close to the wall, quietly approaching a dark window. Westerners' homes seldom have burglar bars, unlike those in his country, where, regardless of wealth, burglar bars come first.

With a gentle push, Lin Chuan found the window unlocked. After pushing the window open, he flipped inside. The room was pitch dark and seemed spacious. As he looked around, the disorganized room appeared to be a storage. It seemed he had entered the utility room.
