Chapter 138: Masters Live Among Us Mistakes Send Them to the Underworld!_6

But if you mention another name of his, more people may recognize him—Bruce Lee!

"Is it really him?!"

Zhang Beixing was utterly shocked!

Although Bruce Lee had passed away many years before he was born, Zhang Beixing was extremely familiar with Bruce Lee's name; it was practically legendary.

It was because he was the first Chinese film star in the history of Great Xia who made it to Hollywood.

Also, the first person to actively promote Great Xia's martial arts globally!

Founder of Jeet Kune Do, pioneer of martial arts films, a revolutionary in the world of martial arts.

Even though he had been dead for forty-five years, to this day, when people outside Great Xia talk about martial arts, Bruce Lee is the first person they think of.

His influence was profound.

"Did the Chen Family actually have interactions with him?"

Zhang Beixing was somewhat astonished!

Just then, Elder Chen returned with a book in hand.

Noticing the book in Zhang Beixing's hand, Elder Chen paused for a moment, then smiled and said, "I didn't expect you to find this on your own. Well, that saves me the trouble."

"This book contains information about the Great Grandmaster. You can have a look yourself."

Hearing Elder Chen's words, Zhang Beixing was a bit confused.

He instinctively thought of the Great Grandmaster Elder Chen had mentioned earlier, raised an eyebrow, and asked, "Chen Taishan, perhaps the insights of the Great Grandmaster you mentioned are from this person?"

"That's not the case!"

Elder Chen shook his head without hesitation and said, "Although Bruce Lee was the most talented individual I have ever met, except for you, he was very far from reaching the Great Grandmaster level. He merely got a glimpse of the threshold of the Great Grandmaster Realm."

"Then you mentioned there was something about the Great Grandmaster in here?" Zhang Beixing asked.

Elder Chen looked as if it were obvious and said, "Yes, any problem with that? Not being a Great Grandmaster doesn't mean one can't understand or write about the Great Grandmaster realm. Which Grandmaster Martial Artist doesn't aspire to advance further? I only said that because his notes happen to contain a rather comprehensive record of the Great Grandmaster!"

"Ah, I see!"

Understanding Elder Chen's explanation, Zhang Beixing then found a chair to sit on.

He opened the martial arts training notes left by Bruce Lee at the Chen Family's place and started to read.

What Elder Chen had said was true. This book by Bruce Lee detailed the realms of both Grandmaster and Great Grandmaster extensively.

Through this book, Zhang Beixing learned about the Grandmaster Realm.

Previously, from Teacher Liu, he learned that the criterion below Grandmaster was mastering the Hidden Force.

To advance to Grandmaster, the most basic requirement was to achieve Integration of both internal and external fist styles, reaching Great Accomplishment. The subsequent key was the external release of Vital Energy. This meant emitting Vital Energy when attacking with fists or feet, which is mastering Bright Force. Only then could one become a true Grandmaster.

The standard for releasing Vital Energy externally was for the energy to emit one inch from the fist, injuring the opponent before the fist even arrives.

As for the Great Grandmaster, one needs to be a Master of All and create an Ultimate Skill!

The former, Master of All, as the name implies, means mastering all martial arts and weapon techniques in the world, becoming so proficient through practice that it's second nature.

Creating an Ultimate Skill, however, is key to truly becoming a Great Grandmaster!

After all, if you understand all martial arts and weapon techniques but cannot integrate them to create a unique Ultimate Skill of your own, then frankly, you are still just like an ordinary Grandmaster.

The reason Elder Chen previously said Bruce Lee had barely touched the threshold of a Great Grandmaster was because Bruce Lee had already created a martial art—Jeet Kune Do!

However, due to not being a 'Master of All,' the martial art Bruce Lee created had many flaws and risks.

Practicing normally isn't a problem, but to practice deeply, to be recognized in the martial arts community and to earn the name of 'Ultimate Skill,' he was still very far off.

If Bruce Lee were still alive, spending five or six decades perfecting and learning other martial arts, he might have had a chance to become a Great Grandmaster.

Although the likelihood was slim, there was at least a chance.

But unfortunately...

After finishing Bruce Lee's notes and pondering the requirements for a Great Grandmaster, Zhang Beixing couldn't help but exclaim, "The requirements are so strict!"

Never mind anything else, just achieving the Integration of all martial arts! Even a genius would need at least ten or twenty years to do that! Let alone creating a world-shaking Cultivation Technique that was also an Ultimate Skill.

However, this isn't very important for me right now, as it's still a distant goal.

For me, the primary task now is to release Vital Energy externally and master Bright Force!

I've already achieved Integration of both internal and external martial arts. I'm only one step away—the external release of Vital Energy—from becoming the youngest contemporary Grandmaster!

"Just how do I release this Vital Energy externally?"

"I need to find a way to draw it out!"
