"What? Someone paraded a tiger around town on their shoulders?"

The Forestry Bureau Director stared at the operator who had rushed in, utterly dumbfounded by her words. Does she even hear what she's saying? What on earth is this?

"You're not kidding me, are you?" he asked.

"No!" the operator replied, shaking her head. She pulled out her phone. "This is a photo a resident of Xiyin Town sent me after I added him on VX. Take a look."

The Director of the Forestry Bureau focused his gaze on the screen.

In the photo, a young man, barely in his twenties, carried a 1.9-meter-long tiger, weighing about 100 kilograms, slung over one shoulder. Standing in the street, he was smiling and chatting merrily with the people around him.

There were four or five photos. The content was the same, just from different angles and taken by different people.

After viewing the photos, the Forestry Bureau Director gasped, utterly shocked.

Can this really be happening?

He was filled with doubts.

He quickly took a sip of tea to calm his nerves and then gave an order, "Have security keep those reporters outside. No interviews whatsoever until our meeting is over."

Then he turned to Xiao Chen and asked, "Xiao Chen, have you taken care of what I asked? How are the contacts coming along?"

Xiao Chen checked her phone. Shortly after she had sent the meeting notification, over ten "received" confirmations had appeared in the group chat.

She nodded. "I've contacted everyone, and they should be here soon."

The Forestry Bureau Director nodded knowingly. "Good. Now, let's tidy up here quickly. Xiao Chen, you handle the projector. And you..."

He issued one directive after another.

With everyone bustling about, the director's office was quickly transformed into a makeshift meeting room.

The Forestry Bureau Director sat in the main seat, adjusting the projector.

Just then, the door to his office opened, and an elderly man with white hair and round glasses, looking every bit the old scholar, walked in leisurely, carrying a teacup.

He naturally took the seat next to the Forestry Bureau Director, blew on his steaming tea, took a light sip, and said, "Director Fan, it's almost quitting time. Why the sudden rush to call us all over? Are you starting to adopt those unscrupulous private company tactics of holding meetings after hours?"

"And when I arrived, I saw the entrance to our Forestry Bureau swarming with reporters, armed with all sorts of cameras. The flashing was enough to make an old man like me dizzy. What's going on?"

Hearing this, Director Fan remained silent. He waited for the attendees from various departments to arrive and fill the seats, noticing them whispering amongst themselves.

Director Fan coughed lightly. "I imagine that on your way here, you all saw the reporters outside and are wondering why I've called a meeting at this hour."

"Since that's the case, I'll be brief. Someone has captured a tiger!"

Upon hearing his words, the previously somewhat noisy room suddenly fell silent.

The elder sitting next to Director Fan raised an eyebrow, voicing the first doubt, "Captured a tiger? That can't be right. Up until I came here for this meeting, I hadn't heard anything about a tiger being brought into the Forestry Bureau's custody. Besides, even if one was, how could it attract so many reporters?"

He wasn't alone; nearly everyone in the room shared this sentiment.

Typically, when they found and contained wild tigers, some reporters would cover it, but those were usually their own official media contacts.

Today, however, was different. They recalled walking through the lobby and seeing the crowd of reporters, including entertainment journalists, being held back by security outside the Forestry Bureau. This was clearly abnormal.

They looked at Director Fan perplexedly.

Director Fan wore a helpless expression as he said, "Because the one who captured the tiger wasn't one of our people. It was a resident of Xiyin Town, which lies at the foot of West Yin Mountain. Moreover, that tiger was captured by a single person!"

At this pronouncement, everyone present was stunned.

They exchanged glances, each seeing the profound disbelief in the others' eyes. What in the world was Director Fan talking about? The tiger wasn't captured by their staff, but by a resident of Xiyin Town—and by a single person at that?

"Director Fan, are you kidding us?" the elder asked, putting down his teacup and looking at Director Fan.

How could this be possible? He could understand if a group of people had worked together to catch a tiger. But a single person? Does Director Fan even realize what he's saying? He must have watched 'Wu Song Fights the Tiger' too many times. Others might not know how ferocious a tiger is, but shouldn't he, the Director of the Forestry Bureau, know better? Unless the person had firearms, even with a melee weapon, an ordinary individual would hardly be a match for a tiger. What nonsense is he spouting?

At this thought, many in the room began to look at Director Fan strangely.

Noticing their expressions, Director Fan knew what they were thinking. Truthfully, his own first reaction upon hearing the news had been disbelief.

But...

"See for yourselves!"

Knowing that no amount of explaining would convince them without proof, Director Fan simply operated his phone.

Shortly, several photos appeared on the projector screen behind him.

Everyone instinctively looked.

Their brows furrowed immediately. The photos on the screen had many flaws.
