The King of Urban Mercenaries

Chapter 962: Invitation to the Second Generation Gathering

"Is everyone here?"

Mu Tiancheng glanced around and sat down.

"Alright, let's start the meeting!"

In the lounge, Mu Binglan gently bit her nails, looking at the stock transfer agreement on the table, feeling a strange sensation in her heart.

On Luo Chen's side, after returning to the company, he found that more people had shown up after just two days of absence.

Manager Liu Wenxin was directing everyone at work. After wandering around the sixteenth and seventeenth floors, Luo Chen returned to the eighteenth floor where his office was.

Without hurrying to his office, Luo Chen roamed around the tech and development departments, noticing that each department had a few new faces, currently engaged in tasks Luo Chen couldn't comprehend.

After a brief tour, not catching anyone slacking off, Luo Chen headed to the office of the Development Manager, Lin Feng.

Upon entering, Luo Chen was immediately greeted by a fresh floral scent.

It turned out Lin Feng had lots of plants in his office.

However, as Luo Chen looked around, he saw no sign of Lin Feng, just the plants. Curiously, he approached Lin Feng's desk and found him slumped over, completely obscured by the computer monitor.

Luo Chen gently pinched Lin Feng's ear, lifting him up.

"Ouch!"

Lin Feng yelped reflexively from the pain, though his eyes remained closed.

Indeed, the trick worked like a charm. Lin Feng's eyebrows twitched, and eventually, he couldn't resist, irritably sitting up.

"Luo Chen, what are you doing? Disturbing my beautiful dream so early in the morning."

"Beautiful dream, my foot."

Seeing Lin Feng awake, Luo Chen retreated to the sofa, sitting cross-legged.

"I pay you fifty thousand a month, is this what I get?"

"C'mon, my work is already done."

"The day just started, and you've finished your work?"

"I've already outsourced it to the folks outside."

"Do they even have enough manpower?"

Luo Chen recalled assigning Lin Feng an outsourcing project to build a website. But with just a few people outside, was it doable? Luo Chen was curious.

"Don't worry, Luo Chen. If I say it's doable, it is."

Lin Feng pouted, speaking defiantly.

"When I was a technical advisor at Poison Blade, I only handled emergencies and didn't even need to work regularly. The organization paid me two hundred thousand a month. Luo Chen, you're too stingy with fifty thousand."

Luo Chen knew Lin Feng wasn't exaggerating; technical professionals are valuable everywhere, especially at an organization well-funded.

Li Mingqi had once been poached with a million annual salary offer but was retained by Luo Chen with a substantial offer. However, Luo Chen only provided promises, never actual money to Li Mingqi.

"Fifty thousand too little? If you joined my Dark Prison, you wouldn't even get that much."

"Really?"

Lin Feng was skeptical.

"Dark Prison is such a renowned organization, how could it possibly be poor?"

Luo Chen shrugged, feigning helplessness.

"I've fallen on hard times, do you think Dark Prison is wealthy?"

"Lucky I didn't join."

Lin Feng stuck out his tongue.

"At least staying with you, Luo, I can still scrape by."

"So, since you're taking my money, you must work for it. If I don't see company performance, I'll hold you accountable!"

Luo Chen chuckled; he brought Lin Feng over primarily to generate profit!

"Don't worry, Luo Chen, just wait to count your money."

Seeing Lin Feng so confident, Luo Chen stopped pressing further and returned to his office.

Yun Chuyao, busy with documents at Luo Chen's desk, stood up immediately as she saw him come in.

"Good morning, Mr. Luo."
