```
Yang Fei pulled the Bentley Continental to a stop in front of the Ginza Building and opened the rear door.
He bent at a ninety-degree angle, extended his left hand, and courteously invited Lin Xueyi to step out.
Lin Xueyi smiled knowingly.
She was well aware that this stinking brat liked to put on a show.
But seeing his knightly demeanor, she couldn't help but like it.
Lin Xueyi stepped out of the Bentley.
Yang Fei gently kissed the back of her hand.
Lin Xueyi took his arm, and the two walked forward together.
This striking pair immediately caught the attention and admiration of countless onlookers.
Many exclaimed and whispered among themselves.
Almost instantaneously, Lin Xueyi and Yang Fei became the center of everyone's gaze.
Enjoying the envious stares and low murmurs, Lin Xueyi felt a bit embarrassed.
Yang Fei, however, was utterly nonchalant and full of self-confidence.
This guy had the air of someone who acted like he was the best in the world, a true portrayal of a rich playboy.
"Yo, isn't that Boss Lin of Lanting Hotel?"
"And this hotel odd-job man, when did he suddenly turn into a wealthy tycoon?"
"Haha, I was shortsighted and have only just recognized the two of you."
Just then, a sarcastic voice reached everyone's ears at just the right moment.
Yang Fei and Lin Xueyi turned around to look.
They saw a fat man with a face full of jowls, dressed in a purple and red Tang suit.
Surrounded by a group of ruffians, he swaggered into the entrance of the Ginza Building.
These people were arrogant and looked fierce, clearly not to be trifled with.
Lin Xueyi didn't recognize the fat man.
But Yang Fei knew exactly who he was, this fat man had to be Kong Erhu, the top dog of Xihua District.
The one who spoke was a man in glasses with a sleazy yet scholarly look, standing beside Kong Erhu.
Yang Fei had heard a bit about him too.
This man was known as Kong Erhu's brain trust.
He was one of Kong Erhu's indispensable men.
Everyone called him Mr. Jing.
Mr. Jing had just exposed the identities of Yang Fei and Lin Xueyi.
Immediately, a bystander sneered disdainfully.
"Tch, a hotel proprietress dares to attend this auction? Truly overestimating herself!"
"Hmph, a beggar is still a beggar, even if he puts on a yellow robe."
"I heard that the Qingquan Stone is worth over ten million, they have the nerve to come here, and still put on such a grand show!"
"Haha, let's just wait and see the joke unfold."
...
...
Most of these onlookers were small town folks who had come to watch the excitement or small bosses who had a bit of money but didn't dare to compete with Kong Erhu and Li Shun at the auction.
Some of them had even paid the auction deposit before being coerced to back out.
They felt resentful.
As soon as they heard about the humble origins of Lin Xueyi and Yang Fei, they immediately looked down upon them.
Lin Xueyi clearly heard the mockery of these onlookers.
She tightened her grip on Yang Fei's arm noticeably.
Yang Fei said softly, "Ignore these lowlifes, shall we go in?"
Lin Xueyi nodded.
After Yang Fei spoke, he glanced at Mr. Jing and casually remarked, "This guy is quite skilled at breaking momentum, huh."
"He wants to knock us down with his attitude first, what a grandson move. We need to keep our cool."
As they were talking, Kong Erhu and Mr. Jing's group had arrived at the entrance of the Ginza Building.
And just then, Yang Fei, supporting Lin Xueyi, shouldered his way through, effectively blocking Kong Erhu and Mr. Jing's entourage.
Kong Erhu's slightly squinted eyes opened fully.
He glanced at Yang Fei and snorted loudly through his nose.
His followers, already rowdy, began to shout.
"Motherfucker, dare to block our boss's path, you looking to die?"
```

"Are you blind? If you don't get out of the way, I'll make you regret ever being born!"

...

Yang Fei slowly turned around.

His icy gaze swept over the face of each hooligan.

In his eyes seemed to dwell an invisible force, instantly making everyone shrink their necks, daring not to utter a sound.

Mr. Jing frowned slightly and said indifferently, "The young of Mortal World should act like the young of Mortal World."

"Our big brother is not accustomed to giving way to low-level juniors, young man, you do not understand the rules."

Mr. Jing spoke gently, yet his words were laced with intimidation.

His narrowed eyes sparkled with a cold light.

Unable to help himself, Yang Fei laughed and, supporting Lin Xueyi, took the initiative to step aside and open the way.

He said lightly, "I'm sorry, I just happen to think otherwise."

"I particularly enjoy giving way to low-level young punks of Mortal World, after you?"

"Pfft!"

Lin Xueyi had been tense, but she couldn't help laughing out loud at Yang Fei's words.

The others also took note of the dispute here.

Hearing Yang Fei's sly remarks, several people couldn't stop their laughter.

Kong Erhu was now in a position where he could neither advance nor retreat.

He glared fiercely at Mr. Jing and pointed.

"Old Jing, you go in first."

Mr. Jing, knowing Kong Erhu's temper, couldn't help but break out into a cold sweat.

After giving Yang Fei a look, he stepped into the Ginza Building with a swagger.

Turning around, Kong Erhu sneered and said coolly, "You'd best watch your own back."

"I've seen many a fierce dragon in my time, but how many survive to tell the tale?"

"I don't understand what you mean; we are legitimate business people, please take back your warning."

Yang Fei looked at Kong Erhu with a teasing expression, his face one of playful mockery.

Kong Erhu snorted and said no more, striding into the Ginza Building.

What Yang Fei and Lin Xueyi didn't know was,

this whole scene had been caught by the eyes of a plump and graceful woman on the third floor.

She watched Yang Fei and Lin Xueyi enter the Ginza Building, her thoughts possibly miles away.

Yang Fei and Lin Xueyi entered the third floor of the Ginza Building.

As soon as they stepped out of the elevator, a man in a leather jacket stopped them.

He bowed respectfully.

"Mr. Yang Fei and Miss Lin Xueyi, my master has invited you over for a chat."

Lin Xueyi's eyes widened as she looked at the man.

After the encounter with Kong Erhu, her heart had been racing.

Naturally, she felt intimidated at the moment.

Yang Fei hummed affirmatively and sized up the man.

He said indifferently, "Let me guess your intention—could it be a threat to withdraw from the auction? I've told you, that tactic doesn't work on me."

The man shook his head: "Absolutely not, my master invites you over for important matters."

"She has made it clear in advance that this matter is greatly beneficial for both of you."

Yang Fei sniffed at this.

"If your master truly means well, why didn't she come in person to invite us?"

"Do you expect pies to fall from the sky?"

He ignored the man and, taking Lin Xueyi's hand, they entered the auction hall directly.

The auction hall was already populated with quite a few people.

Indeed, as Yang Fei had said, of the seven or eight groups that had registered for the auction, four were absent.

The ones attending, besides Yang Fei, Lin Xueyi, and the hefty Kong Erhu, were only two others.

One was a lean and wiry old man, the other a middle-aged man with a worried expression.

The middle-aged man's head was wrapped in bandages, clearly having just come from the hospital.

"Interesting, interesting!"

Yang Fei pulled Lin Xueyi to a seat, his lips curling up, his face wearing a disdainful grin.
