The two continued forward for a while.

Daniel's teeth chattered, trembling as he said, "How can it be... so cold?"

Yang Fan replied, "We're getting close to the core area."

Daniel was frozen to the point of having a bruised nose and swollen face, with no interest in the basic laws. "Mr. Ghost, can you give me a piece of clothing to ward off the cold?"

Daniel was somewhat distracted, shivering as he commented, "This is too unscientific."

He immediately pleaded again, "Mr. Ghost, can you give me a piece of clothing?"

Yang Fan retorted, "You incited so many Shapudian people to make trouble. Do you think I would give you clothing?"

Daniel, emboldened, dared to retort, "You killed them. I didn't do anything to them!"

Yang Fan smiled faintly, "As expected, you Carmenians always turn a blind eye to your own mistakes."

Daniel had the nerve to provoke, "You are a demon with bloodstained hands."

Yang Fan shook his head, "Provoking me is useless. I won't kill you now. Let's move on."

Daniel seemed to have a rebellious mindset and stood still, not moving.

Yang Fan calmly said, "You have two choices now. The first is to walk over by yourself.

"The second is for me to use a secret technique to turn you into a puppet, where you stab yourself with a small knife and hop over on one leg.

"Though you become a puppet, your consciousness still belongs to you, but your body will be uncontrollable.

"Believe me, no matter how you cut yourself, or even stab yourself, you won't pass out."

Daniel shivered, "I'll walk!"

He couldn't help but add, "You're scarier than a demon."

Yang Fan politely replied, "Thank you!"

Daniel, enduring the severe cold, resumed walking.

Ten minutes later.

Daniel made another fuss, "Mr. Ghost, my feet have lost feeling."

Yang Fan showed a bit of impatience, and coldly said, "That's your own business. Move faster!"

Daniel's face was flushed, showing signs of a high fever, "I... I really can't walk anymore."

Yang Fan thought for a moment and decided to help him.

He raised a finger, pointing remotely at Daniel.

Daniel only felt a surge of warmth rising within him, instantly dispelling the chill and making him feel extremely invigorated.

He was momentarily stunned, realizing this was another miraculous method of the Great Xia Ghost.

Daniel curiously asked, "What did you do to me just now?"

Yang Fan replied, "I activated your life's potential."

Daniel realized, "So that's it."

He remembered something and pursued, "And the cost?"

Yang Fan softly said, "Even if you survive, you will only live for about ten more years at most."

Daniel was unsurprised, only saying, "This is a demon's method."

Yang Fan appeared indifferent.

The two climbed over a small hill.

A small valley appeared ahead.

Most bizarre of all, the ripples emitted a faint glow, strikingly visible in the night.

The sound of waves was heard.

As if it was ringing in the ears or echoing in the mind.

Daniel subconsciously stopped in his tracks.

He said that and quickly moved toward the illusory ice lake ahead.

Yang Fan watched Daniel's back, his eyes filled with a coldness.

Daniel walked a dozen meters, suddenly using all his strength, he laughed wildly, "Monsters, your granddaddy is here!"

His voice echoed throughout the valley, slightly breaking from the strain.

Yang Fan's mouth curled slightly.

He knew very well, Daniel wanted to lure the monster over, hoping it would kill the Great Xia Ghost.

This was the only revenge method Daniel could think of.

Daniel jumped violently, fear overwhelming his heart.

The monster had finally arrived!

Yet, there was still a hint of delight in his heart, he yelled crazily internally: "Mr. Monster, go kill the Great Xia Ghost!"

A thick, dark shadow surfaced tens of meters away.

This was unmistakably a segment of a tentacle.

This was truly a nightmare-inducing scene.

The tentacle's diameter reached a staggering five meters, covered with sharp barbs, with small holes around each barb.

The owner of the tentacle undoubtedly belonged to a gargantuan horrifying monster.
