Don't Mess with That Dragon

Chapter 217: Development Plan

With the destruction of the pyramid building, the remaining zombie undead pose little threat to the Dragon Nest Legion. Seizing the opportunity before the onset of the cold winter, the Dragon Nest army began a rapid sweep of those dangerous areas, harvesting a considerable amount of substandard magic power resources.

These magic resources, when applied to the current Dragon Nest Legion, are sufficient to achieve significant enhancement.

Just as the Dragon Nest Legion began its final sweep and was preparing to retreat.

After monitoring that there were no unusual movements from the zombie undead on the other side of the gray apes' ruins, Austin returned to the Dragon Nest Tribe to sort out the many post-war affairs.

The first issue was the temporary retreat base. Faced with the pressure of the zombie undead tide earlier, Austin had to prepare a fallback route for the Dragon Nest Tribe. Most of the productive beastmen and beastman militia, along with massive supplies, retreated across mountains to a base a hundred miles northeast.

Now, with the cold winter approaching and the world soon to be locked in ice and snow, communication between the two locations would become difficult, making the immediate resolution of the temporary base's disposition essential.

"Now the tribe's population has surpassed thirty thousand. The area within our activity range is not enough to fully support the tribe's population growth; it's time to establish a base."

Using the temporary retreat base as the core, create the second base of the Dragon Nest Tribe, forming mutual support and protection.

In this way, if one side encounters a problem, the other serves as a backup preparation.

With the transport of wild cattle, the journey of over a hundred miles takes only two or three days, allowing exchanges between the two places and relieving the pressure on the Dragon Nest Base.

"This might be a beginning. With the base as the center, we can gradually establish bases in different directions, expanding in all directions, bringing vast land under control, and these base points can also provide a certain degree of mutual defense!"

Inside the Dragon Nest, Austin's eyes lit up.

In this primitive area with backward productivity, even with farming, land development, and bronze tools to enhance productivity, it's still difficult for a single base to support a larger population.

After years of development, a population of over thirty thousand already puts considerable pressure on the Dragon Nest Base.

Before the beast tide turmoil, the Dragon Nest Tribe's hunting teams had to travel tens of miles to hunt enough beasts. This round trip for the beastmen hunting team took one or two days, reducing the production efficiency of the Dragon Nest Tribe to some extent.

If part of the population could be dispersed to other places, the unexploited resources of new bases would be abundant, and they could absorb the surrounding tribal population, thereby significantly increasing the total population of the Dragon Nest Tribe.

After much contemplation, Austin's mind formed a plan for the future expansion of the Dragon Nest Tribe.

"Since there's a need to evacuate, the temporary base won't be able to be evacuated before the cold winter ends. It can serve as the first experimental sub-base; there's enough food stored there, so there shouldn't be any issues."

If that temporary retreat base can successfully establish itself, the expansion of Austin's subordinate clans will use it as a model, establishing tribal bases one after another, spreading like a net, occupying large tracts of land, and absorbing more beastman population.

"However, the defense there has issues. It consists mainly of relatively weak beastman militia, and defense structures haven't been set up. Troops should be dispatched before the cold winter to strengthen defenses against giant beast or magic beast attacks."

Here in the main city, with Austin overseeing, there shouldn't be any unexpected events.

He successfully launched the super Rasengan with three attribute nature transformations that day. Austin's understanding of the magic power of wind, water, and thunder attributes has reached new heights, along with his advancement to the Gold Level. Unless he encounters a Legendary Level existence, there should be no danger.

Once he fully masters the super invincible destructive compressed wind-water-thunder Rasengan, even a Legendary entity might not be able to confront it directly.

"So, that's the decision."

Having decided on the general development plan for the Dragon Nest Tribe, Austin called for someone to prepare to announce it.

In the coming cold winter season, the main focus for the Dragon Nest Tribe is to safely get through it while enhancing strength during this period, using the substandard magic power resources collected from the dangerous zones of the wasteland to improve themselves.

Austin also plans to develop a Fighting Qi Rasengan for the beastmen to use as a supplement to the close-combat techniques in the Beastman Six Techniques. If possible, he also wants to develop a magical modification of the Navy Six Techniques' paper drawing to complete the final form of the Beastman Six Techniques.

The cold winter usually lasts for three months. After three months of hibernation and fully absorbing the gains from the last major war in the wasteland, the Dragon Nest Tribe's strength should see some enhancement.

After the cold winter ends, the Dragon Nest Tribe will use the temporary retreat base as the core to expand outward, eliminating and integrating surrounding beastman tribes and absorbing them rapidly.

The plan seems very good, but...

"I hope there won't be any problems with those mutated evil spirits. There are indeed Legendaries in the forest, but they probably won't pay attention to this side."

Austin thought contemplatively in his heart.

"But what exactly is going on with the Tribe Alliance? Why is there no reaction, and no envoys have arrived? How far has their war at the Bloody Border with the Southern Countries of the Central Earth World reached? Also, what about their front with the zombie undead army...?"

Thinking of the Beastman Alliance, countless doubts arose in his heart.

The Beastman Alliance's envoy initially told him that the Blood Claw Tribe had established a base at the Copper Mine site to achieve a blockade and warning against the zombie undead tide, preventing them from attacking the rear during the Tribe Alliance's assault on the border.

But now, except for a few visits by people from the Beastman Alliance after the initial period, there's been no further appearance.

This change inevitably made Austin suspect some kind of shift.

"Unfortunately, sending a reconnaissance team over there to gather information was a bit late. In the future, attention must be paid to this area of development, or... establishing an intelligence-gathering organization within the Dragon Nest Tribe?"

Austin mused to himself silently, but one thing was certain: during the peaceful development of the Dragon Nest Tribe, there would definitely be a degree of support for intelligence gathering.
