Chapter 243: Concert (Part 3)

As the performance deepened, the melody began to grow complex.

Ron's fingers skillfully danced over the strings, each note carrying precisely calculated frequencies and energy, creating specific vibration patterns in the air.

The seemingly random melodies were, in fact, based on an ancient syllable recorded in Star Eater's Ravings, cleverly transformed by Ron into a form that could be conveyed through the instrument.

This is the terrifying aspect of the Erosion Chapter—it can bypass conventional spiritual defenses and directly shake the soul's essence, causing irreversible damage.

In the valley, the first to sense the anomaly were the snow wolves.

They began to grow restless, lowly growling, with some even spinning in place, as if trying to escape some invisible restraint.

As the music continued, the melody suddenly became intense.

Ron's bow danced like lightning over the strings, emitting a series of high-frequency vibrating notes.

These notes congealed in the air into countless tiny sonic blades, sweeping towards the valley.

Andre watched in astonishment as those sound waves formed visible distortions in the air, surging like a tide towards the enemy troops in the valley.

When the first wave of sound struck the polar half-beast cavalry, a strange scene unfolded:

The strong half-beastmen suddenly halted their actions, their eyes widening with terror and confusion.

Soon, some began to clutch their ears, crying out in agony;

Others fell from their mounts, rolling frantically on the ground as if countless ants were gnawing at their brains.

The snow wolves reacted even more violently.

They started to roar madly, biting their own fur, with some even attacking their own kind, creating chaos.

And this was only the beginning.

As Ron played further, the violin in his hands began to emit an eerie glow, with every note leaping across the strings as if imbued with tangible energy.

This energy formed visible purple-black ripples in the air, like a giant net covering the entire valley.

His performance gradually reached a climax, with the violin notes slicing through the air like blades, each note carrying deadly force.

A layer of pale purple energy vortex enveloped his body, expanding and contracting with the rhythm of the music.

Andre stood at a distance, his eyes wide open, incredulous at everything happening before him.

Even though he already knew Ron's power, witnessing such near-miraculous destruction still shook his spirit.

The second wave of sound was even stronger, and when it swept across the battlefield, shrill screams erupted from within the half-beast cavalry.

Some of the half-beastmen's nostrils and the corners of their eyes began to ooze black liquid;

Others started to frantically tear at their skin, as if something inside was trying to escape.

Most terrifying of all, their heads began to explode one after another, like overripe watermelons struck by a heavy hammer.

Red and white matter mixed with black liquid splattered into the air, staining the entire battlefield red.

Meanwhile, the snow wolves also fell to the ground one after another.

Black blood seeped from their eyes, ears, mouths, and noses, and after a few violent twitches, they lay still.

The whole process seemed like a nightmare, yet carried a strange aesthetic beauty.

It was like a horrifying painting drawn with blood, unfolding slowly in the symphony of death.

The ordinary soldiers in the valley, though not directly attacked, were terrified by such horrifying scenes.

They dropped their weapons and fled madly in all directions, completely forgetting the purpose of battle and the commands of their officers.

The commanders hiding inside the black tents, hearing the commotion outside, hurried out to check the situation, only to be rendered speechless by the sight before them.

Their ace unit—the supposedly invincible polar half-beast cavalry—had now turned into a field of corpses and severed limbs, rivers of blood flowing everywhere.

Most chilling of all, the entire battlefield was filled with a peculiar energy fluctuation, making it hard to breathe, as if invisible hands were choking their throats.

And the source of all this was merely a black-cloaked figure standing atop the cliff, holding a glowing violin.

With the final note of the Erosion Chapter finally falling, it was like the last bit of starlight extinguished in the darkness.

Ron slowly lowered the violin, opened his eyes, and calmly gazed towards the valley.

The entire valley had become a land of death.

The once-dreaded polar half-beast cavalry was now just a field of corpses;

those soldiers who had vowed to resist to the death were either lying in pools of blood or fleeing in all directions.

Most astonishingly, Ron sensed a stream of soul energy pouring out from the bodies of those who had perished.

Like trickles converging towards him, absorbed by the "Thousand Transformations" on his body surface.

[Sufficient soul energy detected... Charging progress: +25%]

[Current charging progress: 57%/100%]

This number made Ron raise an eyebrow slightly, as he hadn't expected to acquire so much energy at once.

The soul energy of those polar half-beastmen seemed far richer than that of ordinary supernatural creatures, which was quite an unexpected gain.

Meanwhile, a new message appeared on his profession panel:

[New Function Alert:

Once charging reaches 100%, the "Fusion Recording" function will be unlocked

It allows the fusion of two recorded abilities to create a new effect
