Chapter 251: Observation Post (Bonus Day 2)

"Master, you really struck it rich this time!"

Just as they stepped out of the shop, Ethan couldn't contain his excitement, his voice rising eight octaves:

"That old fox Colin has tricked so many people, and today he finally hit a wall! He used to love disguising valuable gems, putting them in inconspicuous corners, then hiring a shill to cut them open, attracting customers that way..."

Ron didn't respond to Ethan's gossip, instead contemplating the application of the Void Gem.

Such a rare spatial attribute material, besides being the main material for the 'Pocket House Technique,' might also be combined with his 'Simulation Battle Device.'

Over the next few hours, he successively purchased some auxiliary materials needed to construct the simulation battle device:

A special conductor for energy stabilization, light particle crystals to enhance the realism of illusions, and several rare alchemy solvents.

Although these materials were not expensive individually, they often required special channels to obtain outside.

But in a place like the Abyssal Bazaar, they could be traded openly at relatively reasonable prices.

They continued to wander through the market, and Ron's attention was drawn to a large bulletin board not far away.

A crowd gathered there, some recording information, others in heated discussion.

"What's posted on that bulletin board?" Ron pointed to the wooden board surrounded by people.

"That's the market's information center."

Ethan explained: "Various recruitment notices, trade demands, and expedition warnings are posted there. It's a great place to get the latest updates."

Ron nodded and walked straight towards the bulletin board.

The crowd seemed to sense the aura he exuded, unconsciously making way for the young Wizard to easily view the information.

Ron stood in front of the bulletin board, quickly browsing through the various notices:

Abyssal Expedition Team recruitment notice, rare materials purchase notice, bounty tasks, safety warnings...

Suddenly, an old piece of parchment caught his attention.

"Crystal Tower Abyssal Observation Station Recruitment Notice"

— The Crystal Tower is expanding its abyssal observation network, planning to build several new outposts in the edge area. It requires a large number of apprentices and wizards with abyssal exploration experience, especially bloodline modifiers and alchemists.

Beside the announcement stood two young men in gray robes, quietly discussing something.

Ron noticed they held some documents, their expressions full of longing yet mixed with concern, obviously aiming for the position.

"You two, come here."

He directly commanded, his voice not loud but enough to make the two immediately stop talking and look over warily.

Seeing the wizard badge on Ron's chest, the two apprentices immediately bowed respectfully, "Wizard Master."

"Tell me the details of this announcement."

Ron ordered bluntly, with no trace of a request in his tone:

"Application process, selection criteria, and any hidden conditions."

The two apprentices exchanged a glance, and the older one cautiously answered:

"This project has been underway for several years, Wizard Master. It was initially led by Professor Yutel, planning to establish six observation stations at the Abyss Edge, specifically to study the long-term effects of abyssal energy on organisms. Four stations have been completed so far."

"What are the specific requirements for application?" Ron pursued, his gaze as sharp as a knife.

"First, professional qualifications."

The younger female apprentice uneasily twisted her fingers:

"Bloodline modifiers and alchemists have priority admissions. Secondly, proof of at least one abyssal exploration experience, showing the applicant can work normally in the abyss without going mad."

She paused, seemingly hesitating to speak the last point, but under Ron's gaze, she continued:

"The most crucial and difficult part is the recommendation letter, preferably from an inner member of the Crystal Tower.

Independent wizards with no background are almost impossible to admit unless... they possess extremely special talents."

Ron took out two Magic Stone Fragments from his spatial bag and casually tossed them to the two apprentices:

"This is your information fee."

The two were flabbergasted as they caught the fragments, repeatedly thanking him, their faces a mix of excitement and confusion.

They had only answered a few questions and received enough of a reward to cover several days of living expenses.

Ron had already turned and left, his thoughts rapidly processing.

The Crystal Tower establishing observation stations in the Abyss to specifically research abyssal organisms and mutated ecology presents a golden opportunity for him.

It allows him to acquire firsthand abyssal research data and establish an official background, laying the foundation for further deep exploration in the future.

Professional qualifications aren't an issue—he possesses both an alchemist and a bloodline modifier;

He currently lacks abyssal exploration experience but can begin preparing for it;

As for a recommendation letter, with his status as a Primordial Wizard and benefit ability, finding the right angle shouldn't be difficult.

No wizard would refuse a benefit pure enough to counteract spiritual contamination.

As the sun began to set, Ron felt that today's gains had far exceeded expectations.

Not only did he obtain three precious Abyssal Materials, including the serendipitous Void Gem, but he also discovered the potential development platform of the Abyssal Observation Station.

"Today, I plan to head back first."

Ron said to Ethan, his tone carrying a deeply hidden satisfaction:

"If there's time tomorrow, I'll continue to wander around the town."

He handed over a Magic Stone Fragment: "Take it, this is a tip. Your guiding service today pleased me, continue like this tomorrow."
