Worldwide Class Change: An Invincible Swordsman

Chapter 336 Dismissal Mission_1

Everyone looked up at the sky.

Their complexions changed drastically as they saw the dark shadow circling above. A fierce roar from the shadow clearly transmitted an order.

Jiang Chen activated his Skill; a Sword Qi swiftly flew into the sky, piercing through the body of a Cannibal Tribe member. One Sword stabbed through the heart, slaying the creature, which fell to the ground.

An inauspicious start!

We hadn't traveled far, and their scout was already dealt with.

What now?

Evans spoke gravely, "Now that we have been discovered, we only have two choices. The first is to crush the Teleportation Scroll and return to the town, launching a surprise attack together."

"The other is to continue the rescue mission and save Bartley."

Evans looked at the others, offering his opinion.

The rest hadn't expected to be discovered so quickly. Opinions flew freely.

"I think we should go back. We're not far from the town. If we crush the Teleportation Scroll and return directly, we can break through the town together and get back to the Titan World."

"That's the best plan."

"Then let's go back!"

"What about the mission?"

"The mission has to be abandoned. We've already been discovered, and we're deep within enemy territory now, with no way to rescue Prosecutor Bartley."

"But that's Legendary Equipment."

"What's the point of equipment if you lose your life?"

Facing everyone's discussion, Evans looked at Jiang Chen and asked, "Jiang Chen, what do you think?"

Jiang Chen said, "Those who want to continue the mission can continue, and those who want to go back can go back. It's that simple."

Evans nodded, "Those who want to go back, crush your scrolls now. Together we'll break through to the town and enter the Titan World."

As soon as Evans spoke, some people couldn't sit still anymore. They took out their scrolls, crushed them, and returned to the secret Teleportation Array north of the town, ready to make a breakthrough.

The rest followed suit. While Legendary Equipment was important, their lives were even more so.

Evans looked at Jiang Chen, "You're planning to continue the mission?"

Jiang Chen nodded, "Yes."

"I hope you can rescue Prosecutor Bartley." Evans took out a map and handed it to Jiang Chen.

Evans turned and left, vanishing before their eyes. The team of dozens was gone in an instant, leaving only Jiang Chen and Angelina behind.

Jiang Chen took out a scroll and casually tossed it aside.

Angelina asked, puzzled, "Why did you throw it away?"

"It's of no use anymore."

"How do you know that?"

"From the moment the first Hero was discovered, the Cannibal Tribe might have already known our plan. Now that the aerial patrol has found us, it's clear the Teleportation Array near the town has also been discovered; otherwise, they couldn't have located us so quickly."

Angelina had a sudden realization, "So that's it! No wonder Evans didn't use a scroll either! He must have known it was compromised, which is why he proceeded on foot. But why didn't he warn the others?"

Angelina was perplexed.

Jiang Chen smiled and said, "The larger the group, the easier it becomes a target. Those who crushed their scrolls will surely be slaughtered upon their return."

"And Evans took the chance to leave Different Worlds and get back to the Titan World."

Angelina exclaimed, "He's planning to sacrifice them to save himself?"

Jiang Chen silently nodded. Indeed.

Evans had planned this from the beginning: to have them draw away the pursuers while he snuck away from the chase.

Jiang Chen continued, "If he were to crush the scroll and return, he would undoubtedly die."

"That's terrifying."

"So don't trust others easily; you're too naive. If you hadn't met me, you'd still be naively counting money for others."

Angelina nodded and smiled, "So, what should we do next?"

"Keep moving forward."

"Continue?"

"Of course. My purpose in coming to Different Worlds was to increase my Level, not to save people. Saving people is just an additional task."

Jiang Chen went on to say, "Moreover, if we return now, the town will definitely be heavily defended; an army will likely be waiting there. It's better to wait a while before sneaking back."

"It's not certain Evans can return to the Titan World," Angelina mused.

"Now that he's alone, he won't be as much of a target and should be able to return easily," Jiang Chen initially replied.

Then, Jiang Chen analyzed, "If I were the enemy, I would definitely capture one or two to question them: How many are you? What's your purpose for coming here?"

"I believe any Hero captured wouldn't withstand torture and would certainly spill everything."

"The Heroes who just returned, once caught and killed, will confirm the total numbers. The enemy will then know how many slipped through the net. Do you think Evans can still return after that?"

Angelina nodded, "You mean they will capture some Heroes, interrogate them, and to save their own lives, those Heroes will betray Evans?"

"It's likely."

Jiang Chen casually glanced at the map, leading Angelina forward.

「At that moment, on the north side of the town.」

Bodies lay all around.

"Captain, there are ninety bodies in total."

"Out of a hundred, ten remained. We captured seven, and three didn't return. It seems they've realized something's wrong here and are likely returning on foot."

"Put the town under tight control immediately! We must catch these three. We absolutely cannot let them escape back to the Titan World!"

Jiang Chen's prediction was correct.

After the death of the two Heroes, the enemy had already learned of Evans's rescue operation and its purpose. They dispatched men to search and, as expected, discovered the hidden Teleportation Array in the north.

After a battle, they captured a few Teleporters and killed everyone else there.

Any Heroes who returned would surely face death.

Jiang Chen, pulling Angelina along, instantly used Flash in the Void and rapidly left the mountain, appearing on a vast grassland. Besides the Cannibal Tribe, there were other monsters here.

Along the way, they encountered other members of the Cannibal Tribe.

They did not notice Jiang Chen and Angelina but were preoccupied with hunting nearby. They quickly devoured their prey after killing it, truly living up to their name as the Cannibal Tribe. Angelina glanced once then turned her head away, unable to bear the sight.

For Angelina, it was too bloody.

Jiang Chen, however, was full of curiosity. Wouldn't it smell better with some cumin?

But he also noted their attack methods. Their attack methods were unique, extending weapons from their backs to strike foes. This was the Hezi, their distinctive Weapon.

Some were arms, some were heads.

Some were even legs.

In any case, their Heizi Weapons were concealed within their bodies. However, not all Cannibal Tribe members relied solely on these; some also wielded conventional weapons like broad blades, longswords, or even scissor-like implements.

Angelina whispered, "Their way of attacking is quite unique."

"Yes, indeed different. Their Hezi can transform in countless ways, much like their own flesh, able to expand and contract at will. They can also use magic-like skills without needing incantations."

"They're truly powerful."

Jiang Chen had to admit, the Cannibal Tribe was strong.

Their ability to change shape at will... I can learn a great deal from observing their battles.
