Wizard: Adventures in Two Worlds

Chapter 283: 121 Secrets of the Gods (Please Collect)_4

"Are you trying to enrage me?" the red-eyed Sharkman said with a smile, "The legendary captain of the Endless Sea Domain, Conni, I have heard of your name. After you die, I will make your skull into a goblet and add it to my collection."

"Hmm?"

As he said this, a look of puzzlement crossed his eyes, and he glanced towards a nearby spot.

There,

there should have been a corpse.

But now,

Quincy, vigorous and spirited, stood in the middle of the field holding a Long Spear, its sharp point aimed from afar, radiating killing intent towards the red-eyed Sharkman.

Conni's eyes narrowed. This aura... Legendary Knight! His earlier feeling hadn't been wrong; something had indeed happened to Quincy.

"A god truly favors me!"

Quincy, blessed by the 'Divine,' touched his body with a look of surprise, his voice quivering, "Legendary! Truly a Legendary Knight!"

WHOOSH!

Before his words had fully faded, the red-eyed Sharkman charged, sensing the threat this man posed.

CLANG...

Sparks flew.

A figure was sent flying.

It was the red-eyed Sharkman! It had first been weakened by the Curse of Weakness and then heavily injured by Conni. With its strength greatly diminished, it was no match for Quincy, who had just advanced.

"Haha..." Quincy laughed uproariously, "Legendary! I am now a Legendary Knight! Monster! Die!"

Amidst his roar, he swung his Long Spear at the red-eyed Sharkman, the myriad afterimages of his spear completely overwhelming his opponent.

Die!

Go die!

All the grievances, anger, and unwillingness from the past days were vented through the Long Spear in his hand.

The Battle Aura of the Legendary Level solidified, making each thrust of his Long Spear immensely destructive.

When it struck a rock, the rock exploded.

When it struck an ordinary Sharkman, the creature was torn to shreds.

PFFT!

The Long Spear thrust out at an uncanny angle, piercing the red-eyed Sharkman's heart and lifting it high off the ground.

"Haha..." Quincy laughed, "Red-eyed Sharkman, it's just..."

"Hmm?"

He hadn't finished his sentence when a sharp pain pierced his chest, his strength rapidly draining away.

Trembling, he looked down and saw a spike that had pierced his heart unbeknownst to him.

The other end of the spike was connected to a tail extending from the red-eyed Sharkman's back.

THUMP!

Both figures fell to the ground simultaneously, stirring up a cloud of dust.

Dead?

Conni, his face etched with surprise, struggled to his feet, instinctively wanting to check Quincy's body.

But roars from all around interrupted him. The roars were getting closer, meaning the Sharkmen were approaching.

Gritting his teeth, Conni dashed to where Quincy had fallen, pushing aside the rubble with both hands.

A faint, blurred symbol met his eyes.

This is... A symbol of the gods?

「Midnight.」

A Phantom flitted swiftly among the wandering Sharkmen.

The Phantom moved quickly, yet it didn't stir the slightest breeze, like a fleeting illusion.

The Sharkmen did not notice anything amiss.

Before long.

"AH!"

"Run!"

...

Screams and wails came from a distance.

The nearby Sharkmen heard the commotion and hurried towards its source, leaving the area momentarily deserted.

TAP...

Ripples spread through the air as a pitch-black hoof silently materialized, stepping softly onto the ground.

The rider, holding a Long Spear and with a soft whip coiled at their waist, scanned the surroundings. Then, they drew the soft whip with their left hand and flicked it lightly.

SWISH!

The whip shot out like lightning, burrowing into the ground. When retracted, it was coiled around a wooden box.

CLICK!

The rider opened the box, glanced at the contents inside, and nodded in satisfaction.

So that's it!

Suddenly, a leisurely voice sounded.

"I was wondering why I couldn't find the Great Divine Grace. So, it turns out you've been collecting them too, besides me."

Carl appeared on the field with Yana. He looked at the rider and shook his head in resignation.

"Hmm?"

The rider hadn't expected to encounter anyone else here. Their gaze fell on Carl, their eyes flickering slightly. "I remember you, Carl, the Pharmacist from Jiliu City. So you didn't die!"

"Not dead," Carl nodded, muttering, "I was wondering who was attracting the Sharkmen. Their movements so often coincided with where I was searching for Great Divine Grace. It turns out it was deliberate."

"Heh..."

He sighed softly and, waving his hand, signaled to Yana, "Kill him!"
