Wizard: Adventures in Two Worlds

Chapter 294: 124 First Arrival (Please Collect)_3

"Shall we walk together?"

"Sure."

Oma nodded.

They weren't very familiar with each other back in the Black Swamp, just often bumping into each other as members of the Star Secret Society. Here, surrounded by strangers, their relationship naturally grew closer.

Oma said, "The main task of the Six Rings Tower here is to mine Magic Plants, with each Wizard responsible for a section of the forest. Ordinary people cut the Magic Plants; we mainly refine wood essence, which is a type of wood-based Magic Material. According to the people here, if you take it seriously, you can earn two to three Magic Stones a month, maybe even more."

Carl said, "You don't need to worry about work. Wizard Bella will arrange it. Having someone with a second-level Wizard Talent labor is a shameful waste. There's business from the Six Rings Tower on the Magic Market. Perhaps they'll let you manage the store?"

"Maybe," Oma smiled. "But none as good as you, arriving here and already having a suitable task."

"Luck," Carl also smiled. "The Six Rings Tower must be really short on people. Whether it's refining wood essence or business, they just don't have enough hands."

"Huh?"

His eyes flashed, and he stopped. "Someone!"

"Hmm?" Oma turned his head, a flash of realization in his eyes. "It's Nancy and Hodgson. They really don't waste any time, and this place is a Wizard Tower." Saying this, he shook his head gently.

In the bushes nearby, two figures clung to each other, rolling back and forth on the ground, emitting roars full of desire. Clothes were scattered nearby. Clearly, a couple unable to withstand loneliness.

Just like Oma said, this is a Wizard's Wizard Tower. Every move of theirs could be clearly seen by others. To be able to continue under such circumstances was indeed admirable.

"Nancy spoils Hodgson too much," Oma said, clear displeasure on his face as the sounds from the bushes grew louder. "She shouldn't have brought him here. I really don't understand what Nancy sees in him: poor talent, bad personality, just decent-looking."

Hodgson originally had no right to come to the Magic Forest; only by Nancy's persistent pleading with Marian was he allowed to accompany her.

"Matters of the heart are hard to rationalize," Carl said, averting his gaze and shaking his head gently. "But Hodgson is famously handsome. Initially, many female Wizard Apprentices pursued him."

"Hmph!" Oma snorted. "Just a face made with Bloodline Magic."

"It's just a slight enhancement; his foundation was already not bad." Carl turned. "Let's go back."

It was impossible to continue chatting under these circumstances. The two of them left, the roars in the bushes continuing, the man and woman moving like maggots.

「Leipzig Market.」

One of the most famous markets in the Magic Forest. Wizard Archi's Potion shop was located at a central spot in this market. The shop faced the street and had three storefronts, with a backyard almost three hundred square meters behind. On the shelves, various Potions were displayed, each with a tag underneath describing and pricing them.

Charlie was a disciple of Wizard Archi and also a Pharmacist. As he acquainted Carl with the shop, he said, "We primarily sell Potions that assist Wizard Apprentices in their training and various healing Potions. We occasionally sell Potions needed by Official Wizards, but since the quantity is limited, we usually do not put them out for sale."

Carl nodded. Potions used by Official Wizards were certainly crafted by Wizard Archi. His Potions, more often than not, were pre-ordered and snatched up before they could even be displayed.

"Restoration Potion!" Charlie picked up a white bottle and explained, "It can quickly restore spiritual power. Three bottles for one Magic Stone. It's one of the essential Potions for Wizard Apprentices in the field."

"Healing Potion!" He then took out a red bottle. "It can restore vital energy and treat low-intensity injuries. It's an essential Potion for Knights in the field. Five bottles for one Magic Stone!"

He picked up a silver bottle, his voice becoming slightly solemn. "This is a Radiant Potion. It can assist Wizard Apprentices in training—one bottle for one Magic Stone. It's our shop's specialty." Saying this, he introduced the other Potions one by one.

"Brother Charlie," Carl furrowed his brows and asked, "there are dozens of types of Potions here. Did we craft all of them ourselves?"

Charlie chuckled and shook his head. "Actually, other than the Radiant Potion, we don't craft the other Potions ourselves. Instead, we purchase them from other Pharmacists and sell them in the shop, making a profit from the margin."

"So…"

"Carl, my little brother," Charlie said, "your task, apart from overseeing the shop and selling Potions, is to check whether the purchased Potions meet standards. How proficient is your Analytical Technique?"

"This..." Carl hesitated. Lacking a point of comparison, he wasn't sure of his own level and could only say, "It should be okay."

"Okay is not good enough," Charlie said, shaking his head. "You need to be excellent. I will continue to work normally during this time, and you should watch carefully from the side. Even though the Pharmacists we collaborate with are long-term partners, substandard Potions still occasionally appear."

"Yes," Carl nodded.

"Ah!" As Charlie reached the door, he looked back at the shop, a complex expression in his eyes. "Thirty years ago, I followed my tutor here, starting from scratch to build this Potion shop to what it is today."
