"Die!" the purple-skinned mutant shrieked, her ten tree-veins whipping toward Sunny.
Sunny moved with a speed that belied his reduced stats. All-Changer, still in its massive sword form, became a blur. With a single, brutal swing, he severed the tips of all ten attacking veins.
"AHH!!"
She screamed, recoiling violently as thick, purple blood sprayed from the stumps. The pain was shocking, multiplied across all her primary offensive appendages.
"Now... the show begins." Sunny snapped his fingers, his eyes focusing on the injured lady.
BAM!!
An invisible, focused force, slammed into her torso, throwing the mutant warrior backward onto the ground.
BAM!!
Another impact hit her, followed by a third, fourth, fifth, and sixth, precise bursts targeting the wounded areas. She erupted in agony, purple blood pooling around her.
"Please... Please, make it stop!" she screamed, her voice cracking with desperation.
"Now you want to talk?" Sunny asked, his expression cold and unimpressed.
"Yes!! Yes!!" she yelled instantly.
'This is efficient.' Sunny mused internally: 'Attacking all her veins at once clearly maximized the pain and multiplied the damage. I didn't even need to touch her.'
With the thought, the relentless psychic battering ceased.
"Now, can we—"
WHOOSH!!
BAM!!
THe lady, fueled by rage, shot a single, retracted vein tip at Sunny's face. It stopped barely an inch away, blocked by an invisible wall. Sunny tilted his head, his gaze piercing her furious crimson eyes.
"You?! Why can't I move?!" she hissed, straining against the invisible pressure.
"First, you are one stubborn bitch," Sunny stated flatly. "The only reason you are still breathing is that I need information."
As he spoke, thick, black shadow chains burst from the ground, wrapping instantly around her, yanking her hands, torso, and legs into a brutal, kneeling position.
{Name: Ash Rowan.}
{Bloodline: Blood Tree - Legendary Rank.}
{Rank: God Rank. Stage 20 (Peak God Rank).}.
{Strength: 2,000,000.}
{Agility: 1,500,000.}
{Stamina: 3,000,000.}
{Defense: 2,500,000.}
{Attack: 1,400,000.}
{Spirit Energy: 5,000,000.}
{Note: Target cannot put on any armor.}
'Such high stats. That's why my initial multi-attacks weren't lethal.' Sunny thought, noting the impressive defensive and stamina scores.
"Information... Hehehe. You actually think I will give you that?!" Ash laughed, a defiant, throaty sound.
BOOOOM!!!
A sudden wave of violent, verdant energy exploded from Ash, shattering the shadow chains like brittle dust and throwing Sunny back several meters.
Sunny plunged his hand into the scorched earth, stopping his slide. He looked up. Ash was ascending into the air, her crimson eyes blazing an angry green.
"System, information about her Legendary rank Bloodline, quickly!" Sunny demanded.
{Bloodline: Tree God.}
{Ability: Absorb the strength of the earth, Multiplying her base stats by five, lasting for 10 minutes.}
"What the actual fuck! That's all the explanation I get? Multiplying her stats by five makes her virtually invincible!" Sunny exclaimed, staring at the rapidly transforming Ash.
BAM!
Twenty thick, reinforced veins shot from her back, spinning wildly. Spikes erupted from each vein, and at the tips, terrifying mouths filled with razor-sharp teeth appeared.
{Strength: 10,000,000.}
{Agility: 7,500,000.}
{Stamina: 15,000,000.}
{Defense: 12,500,000.}
{Attack: 7,000,000.}
{Spirit Energy: 25,000,000.}
"Let's show this child who the strongest is," Ash hissed, her voice now a commanding roar.
WHOOSH!!!!
Black smoke instantly erupted from Sunny, engulfing him and rapidly expanding outward.
BOOOOM!!
A dense, oppressive field of darkness spread out from him, instantly encompassing a one-hundred-meter radius and simultaneously boosting his own limited power.
"This...?" Ash frowned, feeling the raw, aggressive energy surge from the black cloud. She scanned her surroundings, her confident snarl deepening into a genuine look of alarm.
The smoke cleared, revealing Sunny. His form was monstrous: his skin was covered in overlapping black and golden scales, embodying the fused essence of a dragon and a snake. His eyes were a terrifying, pure red, radiating the suffocating dual aura of Jörmungandr and the Basilisk.
"An... Ancient Bloodline?!" Ash gasped, horror stripping the arrogance from her face. Even with her five-fold stat boost, an opponent wielding an Ancient Bloodline was an existential threat, and he had two.
"What? Are you scared now?" Sunny's voice was deep, resonating with predatory power. He looked at her and activated the Basilisk's gaze.
Instantly, all twenty of Ash's powerful, reinforced veins turned to gray, brittle stone.
"Huh?!!"
The weight of the petrified appendages dragged Ash down, and she smashed into the ground, raising a cloud of dust and earth.
"Compared to the beings I have fought, you are nothing," Sunny said, walking toward her, his scaled feet crushing the scorched grass:
"Yes, your stats are high, but with my Darkness Zone enhancement and the Basilisk's paralyzing suppression effect, you are still weak."
He raised a hand toward the paralyzed warrior. Above her, a miniature vortex of power began to churn, crackling with angry red and black lightning.
"I will give you one last chance. Submit to me and answer all my questions, or you will die right here, vaporized by a force that bypasses your defense."
Ash shattered the crumbling stone on her veins, but before she could move, even thicker, more potent dark chains erupted, binding her legs, arms, and torso with absolute finality.
'Why are these chains so much stronger than the last ones? Who really is this monster?' Ash thought, looking up at the vortex. The sight of the swirling, chaotic lightning—a clear sign of an attack that ignored the natural laws of this realm—broke her will. Her face turned pale.
"Yes!! Yes! I surrender! I will tell you everything you need to know!" she screamed in genuine, visceral terror.
"No more games," Sunny said softly, his red eyes blazing.
"You will stay bound for the duration." He then raised his hand and clenched his fist, dissipating the menacing vortex.
'I just defeated an enhanced, Peak God-Rank warrior without even breaking a sweat... but why do I still have this terrible feeling facing the Great Mother with this strength? Is the gap between established powerhouses and warriors truly that vast?' He thought, the victory already tasting like ash in his mouth. He had gained power, but his fear of the ultimate enemy still dictated his next move.
