Infinite wealth In A New World

Chapter 229: The Great Mother's Wrath

[Supreme World.]

[Abyss.]

Deep in the Abyss, within a vast cavern where phosphorescent fungi cast an eerie, shifting light, a profound silence reigned. Strange, glowing flowers illuminated the space, and the next moment, one of them—a vibrant, blood-red bloom—visibly dimmed, withered, and died.

In the center of this morbid sanctuary, a woman of striking, formidable beauty sat naked, her long, dark hair flowing around her. She appeared middle-aged, yet possessed a primordial vitality, her enormous Tenth Order aura silently compressing the air. This was Lilith, the Great Mother.

She slowly opened her red eyes, their gaze snapping to the dead flower. The casual beauty of her expression turned to deadly ice.

"Who killed Gabby," she muttered, the question more a statement of imminent judgment. The low resonance of her voice sent tremors of fear through the four beautiful ladies standing several meters away.

Lilith turned her head to the four, studying their reactions, then closed her eyes before snapping them open again.

WHOOSH!

A flawless, reflective mirror appeared before them, instantly showing the chaotic, burning ruin of the Lower World's mythic realm city through Gabby's final, fading perspective—the ambush, the meteorites, the moment the tracking bullet found its target.

"Hmm... Isn't this God Wolf?" Lilith mused, a disturbing interest replacing her initial anger.

"Sunny, got transmigrated into this world, took the body of a weakling, and now... he dare kill one of my core slaves!" she hissed, rising slowly.

The demoness, acted instantly, moving with practiced grace to cover her mother's towering figure with a long, black, embroidered robe, concealing the Tenth Order powerhouse from view.

"Great Mother! Let me avenge Gabby!" A lady with two bright red dragon horns and matching hair, cried out, dropping to one knee with visible, raw emotion.

Lilith stared at the Dragoness for a long moment, a ghost of a smile touching her lips. "You are a Fifth Order powerhouse. Even I can't force you into the Lower World without stripping most of your strength," she explained, her tone patient yet final. She raised one of her claws, running its sharp tip across her lips.

"My fragment has only 10% of my strength. Let's see if he can survive that..."

Her plan was revealed: the fight itself was a test, an entertainment.

"If he by chance survived," she continued, her eyes gleaming with dark expectation, "he will set his sights on the higher worlds... We will wait for him to set off for the Upper World. Then you girls can visit him."

She surveyed the four: Dragoness, Succubus, a Half-snake/Half-human, and a Demoness.

"God Wolf, because of you, I now have five core slaves... Please, put up a valid fight with my fragment. I will be watching."

Lilith then turned to the Demoness. "Any news from that Eight-winged bird?" she asked, a sudden shift in focus.

"None, Great Mother," She answered, bowing low.

"Oh? Why is Aurelia silent about this matter? No matter, forget it." Lilith waved her hand dismissively, asserting her indifference to the great angel. She walked toward the exit, the four girls, each a powerful Fifth Order being, making way for her.

"If I had kept Gabby and Shadow with me... Those two would be unstoppable," she sighed, a rare glimpse of regret over missed potential, and walked away.

"Agora, I say we attack," The Dragoness whispered fiercely to the Demoness, her red eyes burning with the loss of Gabby. Her emotions were always close to the surface, her desire for immediate revenge overriding strategy.

Agora gently tucked a string of her purple hair behind her ear, her movements calm and controlled. "No, Violet... The Great Mother has spoken. We wait."

Her loyalty was rooted in pragmatism and absolute obedience; she understood the subtle power plays. She walked away, her elegant tail swaying behind her.

"I thought as the first, she will want to avenge her more?" Violet muttered to herself, confused by Agora's restraint.

The Succubus, glided toward Violet, a comforting, seductive presence. "Agora never shows her emotions, Violet."

"I know how you feel; we all want this God Wolf dead... But not now." She reinforced the Great Mother's command through shared desire, then kissed Violet briefly on the lips, a small, calming reassurance of their bond, and walked away.

Violet exhaled, the brief contact grounding her. "You are right, Nina." She then turned to the last lady in the cave, who was staring intently at her with an unnerving, serpentine focus.

"Why are you staring at me, Cobra? Don't you have your snakes to tend to?" Violet asked with a slight frown, finding the half-snake woman's intensity unsettling.

"My kids are wiping out a world—" Cobra began, her voice a low hiss.

"—Oh please, don't start with this 'kids.' Those snakes are just your creations," Violet interrupted dismissively, walking toward the exit. She often found Cobra's attachment to her summoned creatures irritating.

"It's not your business if I refer to them as my kids!" Cobra hissed back, her personal pride wounded.

Violet stopped at the entrance, looking at Cobra over her shoulder, a final, weary gesture. "Come on, we have a funeral to arrange." With that, she left.

Cobra sighed, the sound a low, reptilian rattle. Her grief was cold and internalized. "Whoever you are, God Wolf... We will kill you," she vowed, a slow, methodical promise.

In the dark, eerie Hallway, Lilith walked calmly, her movements radiating confidence. Agora followed some feet behind, her posture stiff with dutiful concern.

"Mother, Violet is unstable. She wants to attack," Agora reported, her duty demanding she voice the potential threat.

"She can't," Lilith stated simply. "Anyone stronger than the Fifth Order can't enter the Lower World. If they force it, their powers will reduce greatly, making them vulnerable... Tell her to calm down, or she will be sent to the dark prison."

Agora shivered involuntarily at the mention of the prison—a fate far worse than death. "I will, Mother."

"What about my son's first pillar? Is she still refusing to become my slave?" Lilith asked.

"She is stubborn. Should we use force, Mother?"

"No... I didn't force you girls; she made her choice," Lilith said with a sudden, warm smile, a flash of manipulative kindness. She snapped her fingers, sending a surge of unseen energy across the cosmos.

"This will be my gift to her."

'A gift? It means she will survive.' Agora thought, understanding the subtle cruelty and long-term planning of her mother. As the oldest and first core slave, Agora understood Lilith's actions were never arbitrary.

Lilith took a turn and arrived at a grand balcony. She raised her head to the sickly red sky, then lowered her gaze to the billions of demons lined up in neat formation below. They wore the armor of the God Rank, each possessing the strength of a First Order. It was a glimpse of an army vast enough to conquer worlds.

"GREAT MOTHER!!!!" They all screamed in unison.

Lilith stood at the edge, a small, beautiful smile gracing her lips as she gazed toward the distant, insignificant Lower World.

"Put up a fight... You think Elemental Prism can protect you from me? You are so wrong," she muttered, the promise of destruction casual and complete.

'Of course, Elemental Prism is completely useless against Mother.' Agora thought, standing at the balcony door: 'but not her fragment which only has 10% of her strength.'

The true threat was not the fragment, but the inevitable, terrifying appearance of the Great Mother herself.
