BOOOOM!!
The massive, resonating impact tore through the castle, not just sound, but a physical wave of destructive energy. Lilith stood up slowly, from her imposing throne.
"Destroyed my shield with a single blow? Only one person in this lower world has channeled power like that before." A slow, predatory smile stretched across her face. She licked her lips, anticipation mingling with contempt.
'He has finally arrived.'
BAM!!!
The sound was closer, a tearing, grinding noise. Lilith and the captives—Casey among them, whose eyes were wide with a terror that finally broke through her enforced composure—raised their heads to the ceiling. They watched in collective shock and fascination as a colossal black dragon claw plunged through the roof, gripping the stone like paper. With one mighty pull, the entire roof of the castle was ripped away, revealing the apocalyptic sky above.
"Ladon?" Lilith muttered, the surprise mild, almost insulting.
"Oh? You know him." Sunny stood suspended in the open air, a faint, golden aura surrounding him, utterly unfazed by the ruin. In his hands were the limp, battered bodies of Shadow and Xanor, both barely breathing, their armors shredded.
He tossed the two to the ground, a casual, disdainful gesture, and looked directly at Lilith.
"So, you are the Great Mother." He nodded slowly, taking in her devastating beauty. "I admit, you are beautiful. But attacking my world... that was a mistake."
"Mistake?" The Great Mother's smirk deepened. "Why don't you correct this mistake, God Wolf?"
"Oh, that's precisely why I'm here." Sunny folded his arms, his posture deceptively relaxed.
Lilith gestured toward Ladon, who hovered high above, his eyes blazing with ancestral hatred.
"Merging with Elemental Prism, and this little bug, did increase your strength, Wolf, but you are still far from true strength. Ladon would know that. He felt my terror after I nearly wiped out his race. I didn't realize he fled to the Mythic Realm with the rest of his pathetic kin."
Her flat words were delivered with the casualness of discussing the weather, and they made the massive dragon visibly boil with silent rage.
Sunny's smirk vanished. His jaw tightened as he activated his system, a cold knot forming in his stomach.
{Name: Lilith.}
{Bloodline: Goddess of Evil - Ancient Rank.}
{Divinity: Pseudo.}
{Rank: Second Order.}
{Strength: 15,000,000.}
{Agility: 15,000,000.}
{Stamina: 20,000,000.}
{Defense: 20,000,000.}
{Attack: 10,000,000.}
{Spirit Energy: 50,000,000.}
{Note: Stats will change once target puts on equipment.}
'My god!' Sunny's mind screamed, the sheer scale of the numbers assaulting his strategic calm. 'Is this the stats of a mere fragment?! How powerful is the Great Mother herself! And she isn't even in an armor!'
He was strong, perhaps the strongest on his world, but her collective stats were easily triple his own peak. She was, mathematically, the most overwhelming opponent he had ever faced.
'I need to understand her bloodline power!' He thought desperately.
'What does her bloodline do?'
{System's level is too low to get information.}
'An Ancient Bloodline.' He accepted grimly.
'It's understandable the system will give this answer. My plan to crush her will fail. I have to end this fight faster. I will go all out...'
"Enough." Lilith's patience evaporated. "Now that you are here, let's get rid of these useless ants."
She flicked her finger. Shadow's body rose eerily into the air and flew toward the throne. Lilith then stretched out her other hand toward Xanor.
".....???"
Sunny, Ladon, Leonardo and the rest of the captives, watched in disbelief as a transparent, smoky essence—Xanor's soul—flew out of him and was brutally sucked into Shadow's floating body. Xanor's corpse immediately went cold and lifeless.
"You already killed one of my Core Slaves, but you won't kill this one." Lilith sneered.
As she spoke, Shadow's physique began to contort. Her succubus wings retracted violently into her back, leaving painful-looking scars. A thick, muscled wolf tail sprouted, followed by fierce claws. Her eyes snapped open, glowing with a new, feral intelligence.
"She... Did she just take a bloodline from someone and infuse it on someone else?!" Leonardo watched, his face a mask of pure terror. The power to casually manipulate souls and bloodlines was terrifying. Everyone in the room trembled, just thinking that this was only a fragment of the true goddess.
"Go back, child. It's time you got stronger in my presence." Lilith waved her hand, and the newly empowered Shadow instantly teleported, vanishing from the destroyed hall.
'She killed Xanor without blinking.' Austin thought, horror gripping him:
'What about us? We are nothing to her.'
"God Wolf," Lilith declared, settling back onto her throne, her focus shifting entirely to the captives below.
"Face my children. Put up a valid fight."
"....?!"
WHOOSH!!
Sunny instantly spun to the side, his mind already reacting to the shift in battle. He created a spherical shield made from pure, condensed water.
BAM!!
A creature, freshly conjured from pure darkness, smashed its claws into the water shield. The impact was immense, but the shield held, not suffering a single scratch.
'She can also create Warriors from thin air?!' Sunny thought, the fear of the unknown bloodline details kicking in.
'Why do I have a feeling the system didn't give me all the information about her powers?'
Before the dark creature could attack again, a red-and-black colored dagger whistled through the air and struck its skull, shattering the warrior into dark smoke.
Sunny turned, watching the dagger perform a smooth 360 degree turn before settling perfectly into a masked lady's hand. It was none other than Jinx, in a mask.
'Huh?! Why is she here? No... Don't tell me?'
He swept his gaze across the chaotic scene outside. Eldoria's flagship warships appeared from orbit, unleashing fire on the dark creatures. The dragons and earth monsters were engaging in the fray.
"Why are there so many obstructions!!" Lilith yelled, her composure finally breaking, a flicker of genuine rage in her eyes as she prepared to strike the newcomers.
It was the moment Sunny had been waiting for. He shot Ladon a silent signal, then flew toward Lilith at his highest, almost impossible, speed.
".....?!"
The Great Mother was taken completely aback. She expected a posturing match, a battle of words, or a long-range exchange of power. She was too late to react to his brutal, direct assault.
Sunny's hand connected with her chest—not a punch, but a cold, final touch.
"We're not fighting here," he muttered.
And with an instantaneous surge of power, he teleported her away from the planet entirely.
BAM!
Casey fell to the ground, the control on her body vanishing as the overwhelming shadow of the goddess departed. The captives stared at the spot Lilith had occupied, their faces a mix of fear and blinding, desperate hope. The entire world's fate now rested on the man who had just risked everything on one desperate, brilliant maneuver. If he fails, the world is gone.
